One for Me, One For You – Love is All You Need Hunt

Tomorrow the latest hunt from Cheeky Monkey begins, The Love is All round! The best news is that The Fiddlers Workshop is participating and wow some fantastic prizes. Above are two of the prizes. The frame is the $1L gift , this is no ordinary frame! Its brilliantly scripted with loads of functions such as transition effects, slide show, you can add a whole heap of photos to it. The $50L hunt prize is this superb heart shaped box of strawberries & roses. You can wear it or rez it – if you rez it on the ground a little bit of magic happens – it automatically moves into a flat position – ideal for lounging and chomping the chocs. Faith is the renter, not me. (Stunning Rentals).

Faith loves nothing best than finding a stunning and hopefully affordable rental and now it’s my time to shine.

This is my NEW HOME.  I did go for the cheapest rental as at 150Ld and 100 prims I thought this was not just a bargain but also very reasonably primmed which matters since I already have my own tier fee to pay lol.

In the end, though there is nothing cheap about this rental as it comes fully furnished with as you can see some quality decor.

Personally apart from rezzing a couple of my fav decor items and a pet or two I’d leave it as it is.

If you did want to change it I’d always suggest you contact the rental owner, Matchbook Monday, as it’s only polite.  I know that when Faith and I ran rental sims we didn’t mind if someone wanted to use their own furniture/decor items but we like most places would only allow that if the person was renting for a reasonable time and not short term.  I will just out of curiosity have a look at that when I log back in.

I’m going to be using this sim as a backdrop for pictures because it’s also packed with fantastic hangout places.  A big bowling hall, barn for dances, seating area’s both big and small, a cafe/farmers shop with an excellent outdoor seating area in the back.  Then we have this Rare Gacha rail carriage.  I think I have this carriage and I know it’s just the shell you win and this one has been again decorated inside in a classy bar/restaurant style.

I took so many photos and all of them are just using the sims windlight setting but you need to visit really to be able to see the streets of brownstone houses, trailer park, cabins, high rise flats etc and each style of building have landscaping to match the style of home, so the brownstones are on streets, the high rise flats have a tarmacked base for car parking, the cabins a Bayou feel to it.  Obviously, the different homes come with a different price tag and prim allowance.

The LM is for the rental office and you click on the pictures on the notice boards to TP to the different area’s but again it’s much better for you to walk/fly around so you can get the feel for the whole sim before you make your mind up where you’d like to live.

The cart sale @ The Wash is in full swing yay! Head over to grab up a few bargains – mostly at $10L. Lunar Seasonal Designs are there and have a good selection of clothing and decor items. As is usually the case you get a LOT for your cash with this designer, colour change and some fabulous animations all built right in. I’m sat on the rose rug BUT no one to share it with today – so Milo my Labrador puppy stepped up ❤ The little table is also there – dead cute – both just $10L each. I found this row of mesh Valentine cards on the market place for $10L – I thought they were individual , so I could scatter them around – however they are in a row and upright – nice little touch for your home though.

Chez Moi are in the current round of Gacha Garden – you can win a brilliant palette style bed (with PG or Adult animations – depends what you win) Guess whut?.  Its only $89L a go ! Seven commons, two rares – you could also win a sweet crackling fire or bedside table.

Need inspiration then? “Shop Your Heart Out”

Just a random post because so far everything I’ve found up to now has been a big fat nope so I decided to quit for the day and just meander SL which led me to the  “Shop Your Heart Out Event” which I believe ends on the 14th which is pretty understandable as oodles of the item in this event are very romantic inspired.  So many big named shops here, inc Mina but more about that later but sadly for me NO Freebies! What! aww even with all those gift boxes are just props! What meanies!

But they have redeemed themselves as this is a discount event and so far I’ve scored myself some decor items and a whole build for super prices, cheap enough to make my cold heart sing for sure.

I did see in some shops that you can buy the items as a “gift” option so you can buy now to send it to your loved one on the Big Day or if the item you have your eye on doesn’t have that option then bring your loved one for a shopping trip.  There is enough discounts here for those on a limited budget to be able to treat the one they love the most, in my case it’s ME cos I’ve bought the items for myself LOL.

As for the Mina shop I’ve been sneaky and put the LM for that as the starting off point, the Gizem hair is one of my fav, a long thick single plait hanging down the front.  Simply stunning and I’ve now realised that the last Mina hair I did which I thought was the longest she has made isn’t really right as Gizem is just as long and with that thick natural looking plait it’s unique.  The prices for the Mina’s hair is 240LD which is discounted as she did recently put her prices up a little bit but this discounted one, as well as her new ones, also come with the superb 10 colur Hud options so you’re only paying a little more for a lot more colour.

Shop Your Heart out

So after a morning of binning the rubbish, trying on a NEW Mina hair, doing some piccies, baking a cake, doing a hunt,  sorting through some notes, spamming Faith and ordering some new glasses I scored BIG this these lovely roses.

PS guess which 2 of these activities I did in RL and not SL lol.

A massive bunch of deep, glorious roses.  They don’t come with any pose or a change of texture but they do come with a resizer but check this out…

…ONLY 7, freakin, LI! and as you can see from the first picture it’s a really big bouquet.  I’m pretty sure I have the perfect glass vase for these to go into as it will make a great decor item, and if I do and it’s still a free GG then I’ll add the link to it in an update.

The funny thing is the shop this comes from, Scandalize is actually a clothes shop and there is some really nice stuff in here, Kardashian in style but with a bit more class.  I did click on a couple of items that peaked my interest and the pricing is more than reasonable.  Anyhow, I quickly logged out as coffee n cake were waiting to be consumed but although I will probably not buy anything that doesn’t stop me from looking and also at the other shops just outside of this interesting shopping sim.  You will see what I mean when you get there.

Scandalize

Damn I’m sorry!

I got a notice off Laurent83 Waco a few days ago that there was a whole load of Valentines goodies set out plus some New Group Gifts but I only managed to pop over this morning to check them out and I’m kicking myself.

Because time is short for both me and you if you want to make a special effort for someone tonight I’ve cheated and taken the pictures in Laurent’s shop Follow Us.  I’m not going to buy everything I see because I don’t do romance but if you do and like me you’ve either left it to the last minute or are stuck for ideas then can’t do much better than here.

OK maybe not that romantic lol a dead cupid would make a great gift for someone who have loved and lost cos they dumped you or in my case I’m a twisted sort of girl so when I LM grab I might just grab Cupid and shove his dead corpse under my bed…I’ve done that before with a dead Nun I also shoved that under Faiths bed once.  Actually if this turns out to be a Trans item you could use it as a way of saying “Ta Ra” to someone you want to dump….just a suggestion LOL.

I’ve always been a fan of Laurents stuff because his stuff is idiot proof and often comes with a cheeky twist.  Lots of things are rezzed fully set up and basically just so good to look at.  So anyone no matter how little skill or time a person has a couple of clicks is all it takes to set up not just a romantic scene but in his shop you have everything you need to fully furnish a whole house/skybox etc

The other thing I’ve always chuckled at was how something can look so innocent at first till you zoom in close.  Take this make up/toiletry box for example.  I already have an older version of this and know that if you touch it the lid opens and closes and it’s only when it’s opened do you realise the contents are a bit more saucy than some lipsticks and face wipes.  I am pretty sure you have a choice between a copy or trans version so a lovely gift for someone.

I’m definitely going back for this cheeky chappy.  He’s one of quite a few Gacha wins and they’re all so cute until you realise thats not a bone in his mouth LOL.  Although all of the prices in this shop are reasonable it’s nice to see a range of prices and the little dog is only 29Lds a try and I’m going to keep him in my bedroom.

A caged Cupid seems perfect to me LOL.  This poor chap is for sale and you will find him right above the join group sign which I strongly suggest you do.

This is an update because I not only LM grabbed but I also as I said treated myself to one of the French Bull dogs out of the Gacha, I won the one with the blue pills in his mouth lol, and then I reread my note and the Group gift is actually one of these adorable little doggies with a man/womans best friend in it’s mouth (a condom) and I believe a little sign as well.  The Follow Us group isn’t a Free group but it’s just a token 40Lds to join and if you go inside the main shop Laurent keeps ALL of the old GG’s out to be grabbed plus some seriously discounted items so you get your join fee back in spades.

All the Valentine’s goodies are very handily set out outside the main shop in their own mini shop but if you do join the group to find the rest of the gifts go into the main shop, turn to the door on your right and keep on walking because all of the GG’s are in a separate room but honestly easy to find and of course you can have a good look at what else is there to tempt you.  Although a lot of the items are heavily Valentine’s themed there is no reason not to keep a romantic table setting or flowers etc in your home or invent for future use.

Check out the old bathtub which for the moment is only 99Lds and although I’ve not been able to menu check just looking at the promo piccies there are some eye watering moves in there.

Also check out the Marketplace.  I have to confess I’ve not been able to locate the GG French Dog but I’m so happy with the one I have I might just give it a miss but there is a gorgeous Dollarbie of a heart shaped blackboard surrounded by lights and a total of 33 items priced from 0-11Lds waiting to be grabbed or sent as a gift.
