The Bad Penny Is Back With A Splash!

I’m BACK, like a bad penny some would say.  Just before I left to go on my short break I’d managed to get my sweaty paws on not 1 but 4 COMPLETELY NEW MINA HAIRS!  sorry for shouting but I was so chuffed with them that I actually took most of these pictures before I went on my holiday when I really should have been packing and now I’m back I can finally get to show you them.

This is my vanity shot I just had fun doing it but this hair worked out perfectly to cover my Free Mermaid skins boobies.

OK Quick mention about the Freebie which is the mermaid skin, you can just about see the pale scales in the second picture.  She comes from Lumae and is called Niska and is the Enchantment Hunt prize, what you’re looking for is a blue shell and if I found it you should have no problem as well.  A very generous prize as it comes with so many appliers, skin layers and even shapes tbh I don’t have the time to list them.  PS if you don’t care for this particular skin check out all the other Free ones there, I have blogged them before as they’re that good.

The Mina hair is thick and glorious as it drapes over your curves.  This is big hair at it’s best and so realistic.  Called Laila and you can only find her, at this moment, at the “Festival of Sin II” which I have to be honest and say I know nothing about.

Now I’ve had a chance to pop over it looks like it’s going to be a very interesting experience, this is the note you get.

LOL I love those sort of rules. Where you land you can click on the big board behind you and get the Hud which TPs you to the different sinful areas and you will find Mina’s in the Lust section.

How can all things beige be so beautiful?  Of course I picked the light brown colour and it goes without saying that you have any shade you wish from the blackest of black to Zingy Orange and everything in between.

A lovely simple and yet complicated hair even the pony tail is tied back with a strip of hair.  Honestly as ridiculous as it sounds sometimes when I get a new Mina Hair it inspires me to try a new style and although I’ve just had a recent chop and my hair isn’t as long as this lovely hair is I’ve dug out some hair pins and have tried it out for myself and it looks just as good in RL as SL.  This hair, Anais is available @ the Shiny Shabby event and the LM takes you right to the Mina stall…and you don’t have to be all grown up and “adult” to get to this event LOL.

Back to School

The shops here are full to busting with last-minute uniform shoppers, people going off to Uni, back to school etc, its crazzzzzzylegs out there! When I saw the new sydni sweater & scholar skirt from Jane, I immediately thought of “comfy” wear, something cute and practical with an added dash of whimsy. The skirt comes in various colours and pattern, all have the fat happy bow at the waist. The sydni sweater is actually rather stylish and could be worn with some natty pants or an Autumnal length skirt – other colours in store. Like my pug dog? Gawd I want one soooo bad I almost choke thinking about it (seriously!), for now I’m making do with this free mesh one I found on the market place – info below. The satchel is adorable, just $1L on the market place. I’ve used it as décor but it does come with an inbuilt pose to hold.

This is the HUD for the sweet pumps I’m wearing, only 50L and you get ALL the colours. Strangely they are not for Slink feet, just ordinary avatar feet, but I didn’t get the bulky ankle thing happening yay! Tried them with my slink flat feet, yes it would work, no I couldn’t be bothered to fiddle. The shoes are at a tiny little store called Karin, seems to be a sale on as most everything was 50L, also lucky boards!

Zan kept  on telling me about the ALB store, so I eventually found time to head over and scope the place out. Be prepared because it’s a huge place that’s got lots of genres spread around. Youre going to have to hot foot around and find this dress, as I can’t seem to give you a direct landmark – BUT – that’s cool because as you wander about, you’re sure to find many wearable demos and gifts to nab ! Wearable demos really means what it says on the tin, its yours to keep. I really liked this little pink dress, its richly embroidered and fits nicely over the standard Avatar shape. I did try it with my SLink Physique mesh body but couldn’t find a way to use it. Go and have a mooch !

Clean Desk Syndrome.

Sorry about my lack of posts from me recently I’m off on my holiday and we all know that need to clean our desks before we can finally switch off and go on a much-needed holiday, so now that my paperwork is done, last post has been posted, desk cleaned, cat sitter organised and house cleaned up for the cat sitter I’m off and from tomorrow I will be doing this…

OK I’m lying because my holiday is in a cabin in the wood and in the UK so it will be more like this…

At least I have access to a heated swimming pool, bikes and a log fire so slumming it I ain’t.  Till then Faith will be holding the fort and I only wish I had enough time inworld to have grabbed some of the goodies she has been showing us.

The free gift of Lingerie – never gets old

Sooo a new group gift is out form Belle Epoque and a really generous one. This is Claudine, its a corset style lingerie set, and whats more you get it in four colours ! Pink, Black,Blue and white. Its got a bit of a saloon girl feel to it – hence my cowgirl hat, the only sad thing is I couldn’t get it to work really well with my Slink Physique body, so I’m wearing it au natural ! The back is as pretty as the front, row of little bows over your bottom and the essential corsetry lacing of course. Group is free to join btw.

I also stumped up for the 30L offer as it was kinda unusual, and I like “different”. Theresa is a lovely slim fitting mesh dress with a beautiful applique pattern on the front and big puffed sleeves. The bib and high collar have an almost leather look to them. Oh ! My shooooz are a real treat from Reign, the fifty linden friday item and you get black,bubblegum,teal,tan & white – all for 50L ! There are two styles out for this offer, the buckle and the bow – Im wearing the buckle ones.
