Quick, Sweet & Simple. (Freebie).

It’s a busy RL for me which is both good and bad.

A quick visit inworld and once I’d checked, S@bbia, !g0 and then Hilly Hallan which is where I found these shoes my SL work was done for today.  It seems a long time since I’ve shown you any free shoes so I was so pleased with these.

There is also a free dress at Hilly’s but to me it didn’t match these shoes so I’m just showing you them.  BTW I also grabbed a demo of the jewelled veil next to the gifts as if it looks as good on me as it does in the picture I think I may treat myself to that.

SL17B – Conversation With a Stranger

I had an unexpected little cry at SL17B. I visited some of the exhibits and came upon the “Conversation with a stranger” by FionaFei. I unwittingly entered and took a seat in front of one of the “figures”. This is from the note card you receive at the event to explain :

“Conversation With a Stranger” is an interactive installation as viewers are compelled to reflect on the life of a stranger before judging them. The inspiration for this installation comes from current events, showing that the lack of empathy for other people in the world divides us. It is a microcosm of society, where a stranger who may have passed us on a street could potentially be someone we could connect with, sharing similar interests, background, or values. It is only through conversation and a sharing of words and ideas may we truly know and understand one another.

It also shines a light on the beauty and power of Second Life, where we get to meet people around the world through their avatars. It celebrates the diversity of Second Life and what it does to bring people together. It is my hope that visitors who come into this installation will take the time to sit down with a stranger and discover their personalities and stories.

 

As you sit you see the figures story rise up and also printed on the front of them. Each figure is exactly the same – a black outline – so no preconceptions can be made or thought of before you read their story. I sat with several of the figures and suddenly out of no where – tears came. I feel its tears for all those I’ve met and failed to “discover”, either because I didn’t ask, didn’t listen , or saw them and had some preconceived notion of what or who they are. I am a chatter, some might call me nosy/curious – but this exhibit really touched me and made me think deeply about my interactions with others. I left knowing that I was a little altered by the experience, a good thing I think.

Conversation With a Stranger

It’s been one of “those” days so I’ve only been able to pop in and out of SL for short(ish) periods.

“Witchwood” is the sim both Oubliette and Petit Mort share and it’s such a lovely atmospheric sim I’m planning on copying some of it when we start to Autumnise(sic) our sim.

There is a paid-for hunt going on and the prizes cost either 10Ld or 20Lds.  As usual, there is a poster which shows you the prizes. I found and bought the rug for only 10Lds and it’s shop quality.

BTW Next to the example of what you’re looking for, it’s a ticket, you can see a “DEMO” sign one click and you get a folder with demos of the clothes which are the prizes.  What a great idea as although the fits do inc my SLink HG if I can get a couple of the items to fit my SLink P fit then I will buy them.

Witchwood, Oubliette & Petit Mort

Some of you may recognise this dress/template of a dress as I’ve blogged it twice before but trust me I’m not reblogging it for the 3rd time as this is NEW.

It’s time to !!!RIOT!!! (Freebie(s)).

Riot was free then went to a paid-for group and now is back to FREE but I’m not sure for how long.

It’s given me the perfect excuse for a reblog as this split sided top has been one of my fav go-to’s since I first got it.  This is what I wear in RL it’s just ME.

I’m sure it comes with a colour hud but if you’ve not guessed it by now esp when you look at the landscaping behind me GREEN is one of my fav colours so I can’t remember if or how many shades you get in that hud as I stick to the green.  What I am 100% sure on is that you get a male version as well so if you’re a couple then you can make others feel queasy by dressing as a “twosome” blurgh lol.

OH wait I’ve got that free male AV, time to head on back and get another copy and this time keep the male fit.

BTW There IS a NEW gift in the Riot shop which I’ve not shown to you as by that time it had changed to a paid-for group and although the newer GG was well worth it since it didn’t come in my SLink fit I decided against joining at that time.  I have grabbed it as it does come in my SLink HG fit but I’m wayyy too lazy to change into it….so it’s a SURPRISE!

PS. I’ve just remembered the baseball bat…get it as well!

The notice when out and I went arunning(sic).

I’d love to show you a close up of this sexy silk dress but if I did you’d see all my gaps because we all know Belle Epoque only comes in the 1 fit.  This is a TeleportHub gift, which is why it’s 10Lds and TBH we all know where the Belle Epoque gifts and other group gifts are so I don’t need to remind you.

What I didn’t know is that there is a 50% SALE!!! Going on at Belle.  I have zero idea of how long it’s been on for or how long it goes on for what I do know is that when I click “publish” I’m rushing back in.  Again I may find nothing I either don’t already have or things which will fit me but I have hope in my heart…plus there are some hats I’ve always wanted.

UPDATE: I treated myself.

At 163Lds I had to have this very rustic dress.  Although you can see on the boobies there is breakthrough and at the nape of my neck, even more, do I care? Hell no! This is just such a wonderful addition to my personal wardrobe as long as enough is covered up that I won’t get banned from PG sims I’m ok with it.
