Be a Star! Rule breaking, SORRY.(Small Freebie&Mention of other Freebies).

OK I’m breaking one of my rules here which is, no fabulous picture with the “Bait” of a promise of a freebie only to find the freebie is not the fabulous hair, dress, shoes but it’s something so small if they didn’t mention it you wouldn’t have noticed it. SO, in this case, the freebies isn’t the fabulous hair, dress or shoes it’s the stars floating around my head.

Let me explain, most of my SLing time is spent TPing here, there and everywhere trying on so many things I’m just a mess, and not even a hot mess, most of the time.  A couple of days ago I got my New Mina hair and it’s been glued to my noggin ever since but it won’t be available until tomorrow(the 1st) I didn’t want to show it to you just yet but I pulled this look together and I just had to take a picture right now and not tomorrow.

So sorry, not sorry, the wearable stars are the gift and they’re super pretty and really frame your face (and hair lol).  They are from my now fav backdrop/prop room supplier in SL and that’s D.U.S.T and I’m actually using one of the many prop rooms I’ve now bought just to make my SL simpler and quicker.  I don’t know if the prices of these prop rooms have changed but they are/were only 219Lds when I bought them so not overpriced but for me, the best thing is these rooms do not cramp your camera angles.  If you want to try yourself then there are other freebies in the D.U.S.T shop inc prop rooms. You may just end up like me, try one of the free prop rooms and then return to buy so many!

As for the hair, I will do a full and proper post as this one comes with the usual Hud etc but you get 4 ways to wear the same hair!

Old Bag!(Freebie).

It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to use “old bag” in my title lol.  As you will all know I don’t do many bags, jewelry etc and it’s not because there aren’t some amazing designers out there but I just don’t have the time to showcase or even wear these sorts of accessories but check this out.

It’s a butt ugly old bag from Coco Designs and we all know Coco Designs really well because everyone at some stage will have not only grabbed the Group gifts but also still have them because the quality has lasted.  This bag is one of the two new gifts but since I’d already changed into my outfit I didn’t want to change out of it and so the other new GG will be a nice surprise for you but of course as always there is a wall of old and not so old Group Gifts inc some Halloween themed goodies if you need a last minute outfit.

A nice touch is that you get 3 fits inc SLink so this bag is a nice snug fit.

Coco Design If you TP over and are facepalming a wall don’t panic you’re just in the Discount area, just walk outside and into next door.

Broken Vows.(Dollarbies).

They tempt you with the freebies/dollarbies/gifties etc and then sucker you into spending Lindens when you were going to stick to your guns and not spend any more.

OK, this has to be bought from the Maya’s Architecture Marketplace shop only.

This is all for a single Linden and I have edited the set up a little bit.  You get the lounger, table with decor, lamp, trees, bright autumnal leaves  and the lantern and they all come on a square but since they’re all unlinkable and copyable I took away the bit they were stood on, put the table closer to the lounger and copied a couple of the tree’s/leaves to make a nice setting.  Some really nice poses in this both single and couples(I think there are couples), I loved the simple sitting pose with the tea-sipping or book reading, very nicely done.

This is a close up of the trees because they’re really, really good and only 2 prims each.  You do know that if you want a shrub then you can just lower a suitable tree so the trunk is under the ground and you have the shrubbery just showing?  I’ve done this many a time before when a tree has been stunning but I wanted a shrub.  There are 5 Dollarbies waiting for you in total.

Be WARNED, esp if like me your a build hoarder ALL of the builds in the Maya’s shop/marketplace shop are 50 bloddy Lindens!!!  ARGH!  Before I started to click away I checked my invent because I do remember this shop from a long time ago and yes I already have a lot of them in my invent but that didn’t stop me buying more!!!  Lots of the houses come fully furnished some with both furnished and unfurnished options, you can buy streets and cottages complete with gardens so many styles and options and again only 50Lds!

I had to log off last night and so I didn’t get a chance to rezz the other Dollarbies I picked up which is a pouf, a small house and what looks like it could be an adorable little pier so I’m looking forward to logging in and checking those out and I will be honest and once I’ve checked out what I already have I will be going back for more.  BTW in case, you’re wondering because there are no demo’s for you to see I used my Nams setting but from memory, the quality of the texturing may not be Apple Fall standards but I’ve paid more for much less quality!

Lovely by candlelight. (Freebie).

I was only at Noctis about a week ago to see if there was a new GG but sadly for me it was the old one, previously blogged, so as soon as the notice came out about a super timely gift I was off over there and you can see by my outfit that was just this morning.

You get both wearable and rezzable versions of these wine bottle candles.  It does come with a pose just not the one I’m using.  Only 1 prim each so rezz away.

I love Noctis it’s a shop, or two, packed with heavy Victorian/Gothic furniture and decor sets which are up to date with mesh and reasonable prim counts.  I’ve always wanted a Victorian Mansion and although God knows, I own a few builds which come close to what I dream of so far nothing has grabbed me but the best thing is that one day I know I will.  Anyhow check out Noctis and check out both shops as in the 2 shops you get 2 colours and so far I’ve just grabbed the red bottles and I’m not sure what the colour in the other shop is.

REMINDER.

I’ve mentioned Orchard Heights before but I just wanted to give another MASSIVE SHOUT OUT!  I’m still in the group but I’m going to have to leave it as there is so much put on for group members I really feel so sorry that I don’t have the time to become more involved in this amazing group/sims/roleplay etc  They have movie nights, dances, parties, breakfast mornings, coffee mornings, speed dating, even bloody GYM and YOGA sessions!!! They have 14 sim packed with things for you to do, cycling, fishing, bowling etc and undoubtedlyy because we’re almost at the haunting hour there will be a massive Halloween event to top that all off.  Every time I’m doing something and the notice comes out a large part of me twinges in disappointment that I just don’t have the time to go.

Although I’ve given you the LM to the renter’s office you DON’T have to be a renter to join them for any event and although “roleplaying” is in the title all they seem to want is people to come and spend time on their sims and just have a FABULOUS SL with them.

Bloody Hell.(Freebies).

If you’re going to an inworld Halloween event you don’t have to spend a penny to stand out from the crowd.

This dress is an old Victorian one I think I won from a Gacha a long time ago and when you team it up with today’s Freebies from Haro and then slap on the strongest Body/Face light you WILL stand out.  The “bag head” is the first Freebie and it’s a em bag on the head, ok slightly more than that because a nice touch is it blinks lol. So those crosses change to a line as though you’re blinking.  There is a Hud with this but I didn’t really pay it too much attention but I think you can change the shade etc.    It also has a noose around the neck.

The other freebie is the bloody umbrella.  Comes with a really nice hud of textures and it can drip blood as well.  I made the wrong choice for this picture, ie clear plastic with bright blood, and as you can see it’s blending in too well lol.  No pose comes with this so I’ve used one of my own and if you want to rezz it as a prop then it’s 14prims.

Both of these come from a shop called Haro which is a shop that specialised in clothes and add-ons for what I’m going to assume is a super Kawaii little shape/AV called Kemono and there are other freebies but they are designed to fit this shape but you never know you may find something from the other freebies that will work for you.

Love this time of year, the pace slows and everywhere is filled with colour. Autumnal release from Chez Moi @ Cosmopolitan is right on trend with the “Cozy Hay Pile”. Pumpkins scattered, snuggly rug and heaps of poses from naughty to nice. It was a tough choice on the rug texture – and I really liked the eating & drinking poses!

OH FFS! (Super Hunt).

If you smoke or drink have one for me, I don’t do either, because between losing half my invent, being a pretty little pink cloud and being trapped in LAG HELL SL for me has been one rather big pain in the rear end.  Invent sorted and I’m back to my usual glorious self and the lag calmed down enough for me to snag this.

So of course at the moment there are so many hunts big and small going on at the moment it really is hard to pick and choose but CHOOSE this one!  It’s the “Once upon a nightmare hunt” and the list of contributors is the “Creme de la Creme” of SL and Caboodle is one of the shops listed and this was my first one to go to.

The shiny leather pants are the hunt gift, super sleek n sexy and you get 2 colours this fantastic copper/ginger and the other is a red, blood red I do believe.  Sadly you only get the 2 fits and although you can’t see it in this pose there is a definite gap at the waistline on the front but a belt or a longer top would cover that up a treat BUT as I was rummaging through my invent muttering like a mad woman I spotted a SLink Physique folder I’ve not really paid much attention to but I do believe it actually is a way of being able to wear non SLink clothes and create your own Alphas for that.  I could be totally wrong as I just glanced at it but it’s something I should check out…if I can find the folder again!

Anyhow, the Hunt prize is free BUT if you have 25Lds to spare then you must join the Caboodle group as there is a row of Lucky Boards at the back of the shop with some excellent gifts and more Group gifts behind the reception desk which inc the top I’m wearing.  This top comes with a Hud and there is also a great skirt both as GG’s as well as in the Lucky Boards that make a set with the top. The wearable Christmas lights I do believe are new and you get his n hers set.  Sorry though the Lucky Boards and this top and other GG’s aren’t new so if you already have them there will be no surprised for you BUT if you don’t have any of the Luckyboard wins HAUL YOUR AV ASS OVER THERE.  Really nice gifts in the boards and also with the Group Gifts.
