Blue Monday

It’s a blue Monday today but that’s not a bad thing at all. Today’s Monday Mania item from SF Design is the ‘Hooped Hoodie’ in blue.

The Hooped Hoodie is a very cheerful sweater with its bright blue and white stripes. This zippered hoodie includes not one, not two but three versions of the well-made hood! A regular sized version (which is the one I’m wearing), a slimmer type and a script resizeable version as well There’s absolutely no way you won’t be able to get this hood to fit. You also get the prim sleeve cuffs which are great and thick. The hoodie comes on multiple layers so you can wear it untucked or tucked, however you prefer.

Yet another wonderful Monday Mania item from SF Design and as always, this will only cost you L$25 which is a super price for such a well made, versatile piece of clothing. You can pick this item up from the Monday Mania board which is located just inside the doors of the men’s section.

yes yes business as usual…lazzzzy sunday..tripping about and stumbled over this awesomesauce little jacket as a group gift from  Lo*momo . It’s very flouncy and just perfect for strutting about shopping in! Layers upon layers of lace and ruffles…so moi.

Keep Your Guard Up

Because if you don’t, you might just end up all bruised and cut like me. This is the new group gift from LaVie called ‘Savon’. Despite the slashes and bruises (or maybe because of them) this is an awesome skin, just what you’d expect from LaVie.

With the bronze skin and strong jaw, it’s a very masculine look with great details and musculature. The abdomen region looks especially good, I’m loving the definition around the waist. You also get a second version with this gift which is a very ashen skin tone.

All this can be yours for just L$1 but if you aren’t already a member of the LaVie group, there is a L$250 fee to join. I’d definitely recommend joining up though, the gifts more than make up for the fee. Now excuse me while I go look for some bandages.

Hurrrrahhh!!! DCNY have opened their new store in Copley Square *squeals* I’m mega excited and wasnt disappointed with the new colour palettes & designs.The new store is spacious and lures you in, lots of room to shop and easy peasy to see all the items yay!

 Snapped up this simple yet stunningly made button down shirt in sky for 125L , so affordable and a piece that I will undoubtedly wear over and over again, even better is that it has two versions, long  and mid length sleeves. I’m verrry impressed with their cuffs, they look smoooooth and realistic. Heaps of colours to choose from , the fat packs were awesomely good value ! (but I’m broke as usual booo )

Garden City Relief–Help for Earthquake Victims

I read with a very heavy heart about the earthquake in New Zealand and was hoping that something in Second life might get going to help with the disaster. Along came The “Garden City Relief” project, set up with the help of designers from all over the grid. Every single Linden you spend goes into the pot,it’s not a fair its a 100% all profits going to the fund .

I had a good long mooch about and saw many many items Id love to buy, fell in love with AddiCts “in bloom dress” and at only 150L its very affordable. There is clothing,hair (some ONLY available at this event) Furniture,pose packs, props,garden items and more and more and more ! I think all who participate & organise in these type of events need a big squeeezy hug and a rousing round of applause you guys ROCK!

Final Week

Even though there’s only five days left to go before the end of the MENstuff Hunt, never fear. There’s still plenty of time to get running and find some of the great gifts this hunt has to offer. To help with that, I’ve picked up a few more to show you.

The first, in the picture above, is the ‘Aviator RWK’ shades from Kalnins. Kalnins sunglasses are brilliant, I think the first pair of sunglasses I owned in Second Life were from there. The options with them are tremendous, you can change the colour, transparency and reflection of the lenses, they come with a built-in radar (that you can turn on or off) as well as the ability to change where they sit: either on nose as normal or up on your head. As Faith demonstrated to me when she picked these up, the Aviators look fantastic on women too.

The next items are the ‘Old Gold Fedora’ and ‘Bonaparte Sexy Pipe’ from [Kustom] and sur+ respectively. Both of these items are well made with amazing details. The textures on the fedora are gorgeous. The hat fits well, I would have liked to have been able to make it slightly bigger though. But I can forgive that because it’s a great looking fedora. The pipe is just something fun to wear and it gives you a chance to appreciate how well made it is, even the smoke looks good!

One of my favourite stores, Valiant, has contributed this next item the ‘Ripped n Rolled Pants’. As always they are great looking pants, a nice white with grey and white striped unders showing through the many, many rips and tears in the pants. The white rolled cuffs look good as well. You can also choose to wear these pants on the pant or underpants layers for more choices.

Last up for today is the “Treble Cleff Armband’ from Concrete Flowers. A cool little accessory to wear with all the other clothes you’ve picked up during the hunt. The treble cleff charms on the armband are nice notes indeed.
