I personally rarely use textured background shots not that I haven’t seen some used to stunning effects but mainly because it’s more things to buy and more items to lose in my invent.  So like many Bloggers I’m always on the lookout for great places to take photos and WOW did I find somewhere.

Angel Manor Estates is a VAST 4 sim build of a house and garden that rivals The Palace of Versailles.  SL miles of corridors and behind all the doors are rooms sumptuously laid out for ALL to enjoy.

Library, conference room, dinning room, indoor pool, indoor stables and on and on but you won’t find bedrooms.  This is a very adult sim but without the naughty adult aspect.  That doesn’t mean to say you couldn’t put on your finest gown and make an assignation with a loved one here in fact this place is screaming out for people to wander around in full-blown French period fashion.  An active sim by the visitors I could see on my mini map but because of its size you will get the peace and quite you want with a loved one or like me time to sit and ponder.

The Rose Theatre seems to be the heart of the build and you can see how big it is when you look at how small I am on the stage.

I took so many photos it was hard to just chose which ones to use.  As much as there is to look at inside Kaya Angel hasn’t missed out on the outside either.  Formal gardens and an informal outdoor pool all surrounded by a sim surround of mountains simply means a great place to visit or hang out.  Check out the rideable horses they are the most realistic I have yet to see in SL sadly for me I had to go check them out and they’re out of my price range (12,000) but it just goes to show that Kaya Angel hasn’t spared any expense to make this other peoples paradise.

Oops I was so busy thinking of how to describe this place I forgot that you can actually own some of it.  There is a shop and also a house rezzer platform.  Sadly this sort of quality doesn’t come with low prims.  You can’t buy ALL of the build but he has smaller versions of opulence for sale.  Sadly “opulence” doesn’t= low prims  but the prices for the workman ship, quality and size is more than reasonable.

If you can’t afford the price or the prims of a full house then you can pick up some period pieces of furniture and I’ve just clicked and picked up a very gold and ornate lamp for only 30Lds and 2 Prims.  What I really like is that although he has a shop with everything in one place if when you’re wandering around you spot a chair you like or a lamp then just click n buy. This makes it much easier than having to TP back to the shop although a visit to the shop will pay off as he has kindly placed out a box packed full of FREE furniture that is not for sale anymore.

New Sn@tch (Group Gift)

Sn@tch again but then again Sn@tch is one of the best shops in SL.  A big shop packed with the best non mesh in SL.  Everything from the basics to the RPing outfit.  There isn’t many shops in SL which I will buy non mesh items from and Sn@tch is one of them due to their texturing and wearability (and price) being second to none. That of course doesn’t mean Sn@tch lags behind in the Mesh or Lola dept though there is Sn@tch for all tastes..Boom Boom.

This is their VIP freebie and it’s called Helena and not only do you get all the mesh sizes but 5 colours, Ice, Ivory,Mint, Rose and White. Now I’ve been a Sn@tch VIP for so long  I can’t remember how much it cost but one thing for sure I’ve received my moneys worth back in spades.  Too many “VIP” groups seem to take your money and you never seem to get anything but that is not the case with Sn@tch.   Murderdoll (ivey.deschanel) NEVER forgets her fans because not only do they put out shop quality gifts because  but because they regularly update their LBs, Riot Venders and the free to anyone gifts (usually placed on the table in the entrance).   If you have a free group space then join Sn@tch if you have some Lindens spare then become a VIP because the group is chatty (but not intrusively so), friendly, helpful and once that call goes out everyone comes running to lower the riot boards to as low as they go even if they don’t want the items themselves but just to help out others.  The hangout area where the boards are also had Seven Seas fishing and is nearly always busy so the boards may not have you initial on it but you won’t have to wait too long and you can end up with a whole wardrobe. However it has to be said Sn@tch isn’t expensive and best of all as standard you get full colour packs as standard! and usually (not Riot Vend or LBs) they’re non copy and trans so you can be a generous friend and donate those colours you may not be keen on or even go halves with a friend and share the cost of an outfit.

Apple Delight (and of course Love Donna Flora).

Yeah! SL allowed me some mooching time so I grabbed Apple Mays weekly offer.  For a token 25Lds you get this sumptuous figure hugging fish tail dress called Eve.  The hot pink is the reduced item and it’s slashed to a very low price especially when you see the full price.  If you can’t grab this then make sure to slap the sub board because Apple May Designs have a new fresh offer out each week. PS had a fun time looking at some of the old photos I had loaded into my Michigan Shack Projector (can you spot the nifty pixelation?).

And of course a Love Donna Flora offer.

This is what I call a “stylised” hair do which means I don’t think it’s designed to mimic real hair 100% but create a very sculpted and accentuated look (I could be wrong though).  I’m wearing it in the top photo as well and the front is rockin an Elvis style quiff whilst the behind has 3 fat rolls/buns of hair at the nape of your neck.

Yup thats me.  That is the black skin I wear when I know the sim I am going to will be packed like the Love Donna Flora event.  I take off everything so really I’m walking around in the NUDE! However I might not have to wear it next time I go to LDF because Linden Labs  have upgraded the sim and the event holders have now set a limit on how many people can be on the sim at one time.  It may mean a little wait till a gap opens up but it’s WORTH IT.  A reflection of the quality and variety of items there is shown by how many people have bought things and in such a relatively short time a substantial amount of money has been raised.  Now all I need is for Linden Labs to give me a kick start because SL is hatin on me! Even the trick or treat Gacha from LISP gave me a trick balloon:-( instead of a treat.

Because I’m struggling to TP, rezz clothes, send messages and on and on I decided I would use these 2 photos.  Not because there is anything wrong with them at all but I didn’t take one of the back of the hair.  What I will do is when SL works again I will use this hair again so you can see what it looks like from behind.

The hair comes from Tableau Vivant and is another Love Donna Flora offer.  Brilliant to see that not only is all the money going towards LDF but she hasn’t stinted on the packs.  Full colour packs with additional flower accessory and in these packs you get 3 different sizes for normal, inplants and big boobies.  The flower has 4 colour choices but the hair Hud comes with a generous 14 colour .  A medium thickness hair with the curled tendril down the front. The side of it has a lose plait which keeps it tucked over your shoulder.  You can just see it in the first picture.  Colour packs from browns to blondes with packs of ombre style hair so basically a colour pack for all tastes.

Finally the LOVE DONNA FLORA  event is now up and running.

The sim was donated by Chablish Kinsella and Felicity Blumentha designed the sim to be glorious to look at and yet in a much appreciated simple way.  On the top of the hill you have an old market town centre and you walk through one of the 4 arch ways and down past some glorious vineyards where around the edge of the sim is a path and on each side are stalls and barrows packed with goodies.  This means you will not miss a thing. Special mention also to  Katy (katya.valeska) and probably so many others whose name I don’t know but to create such an impressive event take people a lot of time and effort which usually doesn’t seem appreciated.

If you haven’t heard about Squinternet Larnia by now then you’re in for a treat, this is the Lovely Lady (she must be lovely for so many people to spend so much of their time, effort or generous donations) who owns Donna Flora.  A shop packed with the unique, bright, colourful, womanly, feminine, retro costumes and creations that you can find in SL.  Sadly at the moment her health is not good.  I’ll put the link in for a read of her story but the main thing is all these people have come together to show their appreciation and maybe just maybe raise some much needed funds for Squinternet.

Some of the biggest names are here and there is everything from poses to SLink nails and everything in between.   If your on a limited budget then there are clothes starting a very reasonable price so even if you can’t indulge yourself in a high end dress there is still plenty here for you to treat yourself to.  Each item has been clearly market as to how much of the money will go towards Donna Flora (Squinternet) and you will be surprised at how many are at a 100%.  But if course you can pop to her very own in world shop but just make sure to set some time aside for both as there is so much to see you wouldn’t want to be rushed.

Squinternet helped making my dream come true by making my jewelry for MVW 2013 finale and that is why I wanted to make something dream-like for my 100% donation item.” This is what Nimraë Arendíl (irina.strazytski) has to say about her offering for the LDF event and tbh I couldn’t say it better except that if you remove the wispy floaty attachments you’re left with a simple sweet mesh dress.  So it works in 2 ways as a RP ethereal look or a simple pretty long mesh dress.

I adore all forms of flowers in SL esp the ones you can wear. This dress comes from Lybra. A form fitting mesh dress with wispy skirt attachments but it’s the creamy fat roses that have the WOW factor.  Dress can be worn with or without the roses or you can even wear them on other outfits. The hair I am wearing in both pictures is called  Daphne.  Comes from Amacci.  Here you can buy everything to make your AV look hot and sexy, skins, shapes, eyes etc but it’s the hair I’m after.  I knew the name was familiar to me and thats because one of my more wilder wicked hairs comes from here.  What I appreciate most is how she has her hair styles laid out in sections so the updo’s, long hair, braids etc are all together.  An updo hairstyle with an optional flower attachment. Use the HUD to change between 15 flower colors.
Daphne is available in colour packs with 6-8 hairs in each.

As soon as I saw the new outfit from AtaMe I knew exactly where I was heading.  The Doomed Ship is a RP sim (can it be called a sim when everything is in the sky?).  This is a stunning, dark and brooding ship floating in the sky.  There is a background story but I’ve deleted the note, silly me, but in all honesty if your not into hard core RP then I’m sure no one minds if you mooch around enjoying the amazing graphics and design that has gone into this place but as a sign of respect to the amazing designers and people who do use this place to RP then dig out a suitable look and as long as you don’t bother anyone in RP mode I’m sure no one will mind.

When you land you’ve given the choice to wear a hud and I would accept it.  It helps align you camera view so as you wander through the endless corridors or the cramped loading docks etc you’re camera angle is set to a great position.  The hud also is handy if you wish to throw yourself into the RPing aspect which I haven’t tried yet.  Don’t worry nothing dropped off when I wore it.

To get to the different levels you have to use a lift.  Click the lit panel on the side and it does take a little while for it to turn up and when it does you “sit” in the lift not walk into it.  Then click the panel to go to which ever level you wish to see.

This is not an “adult” RP but there are crew quarters and some fantasies can be played out in full (privacy not a guarantee though).

Honestly I could spend forever here taking photos and in this case I just sat on one of the stools (just out of camera angle) and admire the atmosphere.  This is the crew lounge and what you can’t see is the vast window overlooking stars and planets.

This is the AtaMe outfit which made me think of the Doomed Ship.  I’m wearing the non latex version because it is Lola Boob compatible and then decided not to wear the lolas for some reason. This is the Xendra Snow. A full leather look from the bikini to the leggings and arms. Chained necklace and belt complete the look. Blakc and white versions in the leather look but check out the other part of the shop and you will find the same design is wet looking shiny latex. I also couldn’t help but notice Milu Laval has now added full body tattoos to her shop.

Plushy Heaven

This is D-lab. You may never have been there but you will know it’s creations very well because they’re all over SL.  Shops and home are packed with the cutest, smoochiest little critters.  If you love Plushies then this is the place for you.  But it’s more than just cute animals because if you take a good wander around then you will find it has everything from furniture to space crafts and everything in between all in their same inimitable style.  This is the whole shop in the sky and I decided to post this picture because if you walk up out of the shop to the upper levels what you find are the most adorable streets packed with shops of all sorts a baker, book shop, cafe, hotel and on and on such an adorable place to wander and admire the best SL has to offer.

I had so much time walking around all the upper levels I almost forgot what I went to D-lab for.

I went to get this.  A D-lab Group Gift and as it happens they have another one out at the entrance but if you want the pool it is still there.  Just walk inside and “ooo” and “ahhh”  over the cute turtles and ducks other creatures and you will notice that one of the pools has a GG sign on it.  Very handy I have to say. Generous in proportions and has some really good poses I am for a change actually using one of the poses that come with it.  There are some cuddle poses but I had no one to cuddle but if they’re of the same standard as the single poses then they will not disappoint.
