The Challenge – 22769 Bauwerk

A new round of The Challenge has begun, this months theme is “Atelier”. So uhm, I wasn’t entirely sure what an “Atelier” is, I don’t mind showing my ignorance – thank goodness for Wikipedia !

“Atelier is the French word for “workshop;” in English it is used primarily for the workshop of an artist in the fine or decorative arts, where a principal master and a number of assistants, students, and apprentices worked together producing pieces released in the master’s name.” – so there you have it. 22769 have a fine example on offer, I totally fell in love with it actually, perfect for a quiet corner of garden and so rich in details it bears close inspection. All mesh with a Li of 24 and just 12 prims it  certainly wont take up too much room.

The decor pack for the atelier is above, well worth the extra spend. Canvas’s, a cluttered work bench and easel – plus a sweet hanging sheet to finish off the look. I was frankly amazed at the low prims of all this – a really beautiful space coming inside my demanding prim budget is hard to find.

RUSH!

In RL I’m a “Specky 4 Eyes” and I love it.  I think I suit glasses they frame my eyes lovely and best of they make me look more intelligent (God knows I need help there) and although I have a few glasses in SL as soon as I saw these I had to have them.

I’ve thrown up my simple concrete house and just used my sim setting just to show you how brill these glasses are and at only 50Lds I treated myself to a second pair.

I had always joked with friends and families that if I had to wear glasses I would buy a monocle, much to their horror, but I chickened out in the end.

The reason for the rush is that there is sale on for a limited time and everything seems to be either 50Lds or 99Lds and although I’ve just found this notice and I try to keep on top of them I don’t know when this sale is going to be over.

Actually now that I’ve looked at the Pixel Box Marketplace shop even at full price these are still really good value.

My Sweet Baby Owl

Aphrodite & Heart Homes are in this round of Cosmopolitan yay! Prepare your “awww-ometers” now because this new “my sweet baby owl” nursery is seriously adorable. Not only great to look at but interactive in a big BIG way. As you can see above it’s absolutely gorgeous, low prim and über realistic, not only all that but ohmai – the poses are incredible. I had a whole load of fun playing with it. It’s suitable for prim babies and baby/toddler avatars. Both parents can get in on the nursery time action which is brilliant as sometimes the dads get a bit left out right? One thing I must mention is that although you can use your zooby babies (as I did) with this set, it will NOT change the baby’s stats, it’s for role play purposes only. If you buy the complete set, you will make a huge saving at the event – the total cost will be $3650L, bought at Cosmopolitan its just $2920.

Heres my Aurora taking her pre bed bath – you can do allll sorts of things at the changing station, nappies, baths, lotions and powder to name a few. Some props need permission to attach to you, so look out for those menu prompts ! Oh btw, when you sit on the furniture, it does ask you “who you are” – hard to explain here but hop on and give it a whirl, you need to say if you’re the mother, daddy or baby – it’s really simple.

All gussied up and in her pj’s time for a bed time story no? (Daddy can also read the story)  The stuffed owls are arranged inside the cot, you don’t have to have them all out as they aren’t hard linked – nice touch. The mobile above works and little pink & blue notes pop out the top as it twirls around.

How can any baby not be happy in such a terrific cot ! The owls look SO real and soft and cuddly awww.

Dont worry if you’ve not had your little one yet – there are also poses for the mum-to-be. I tried out knitting (a sock!) reading and relaxing in this rocking chair, it also contains poses for feeding, cuddling and reading to your baby and lots more. There is a lovely video of the set here, worth a watch for sure !

The Cream of Cremosa.(A cheeky and a Freebie).

My third home is the Baja Norte sim and now it’s sims as there are 2 beachy and 1 spooky one to preen and pose on and in this case almost bare all.  Don’t get that excited as this is neither a freebie or a hunt item but OHMAI as Faith says I couldn’t help but treat myself to this saucy naughty wet top.  It’s actually mesh and comes with those inbuilt “knockers” you can see (good old English term for boobs).  I picked the white but there is a whole choice of colours to choose from and at 49Lds not badly priced and let’s be honest, SEXY and CHEEKY without being rude.  Word of caution though, I’m wearing the XS size and it’s just about right so you may find that the sizes are generous to a fault however my AV is on the smaller size and I think the whole idea of this is to give you a much more boobalicious shape.

This is a lovely Group Gift from Cremosas as well and icing on the cake is this shop is also involved in the “Bite Me” hunt and it’s easy to find.  That is a lovely mesh bikini top and shorts but if you check out the Bite Me link you will see a list of all the shops involved in this hunt and some pictures and hints

My Second Home is a beautiful sim called Derailed (Crash Boat Beach) and if I didn’t have my own sim to play on I would BEG to be able to come and rent here, this isn’t a rental sim it’s a private for friends only, although I do have the privilege of being able to rezz here I often come over just to meander around enjoying the relaxing ambiance as well as the ever-changing sim which is always changing with the seasons, and the builders moods LOL.  So I snapped away but because this post includes a paid for item here it is in its untouched excellence.

If you do come here it’s open to anyone but and there are many builds open to use but of course it’s obvious which are actual people’s homes so stay out, it’s rude to trespass.

Firstly the skin, I’m wearing is of course a PumeC skin called Milana.  I deliberately popped one of the Group Gift skins on to show you because for only 99Lds you get an amazing 5 skins and of course ALL Appliers.

Next is the hair which is one of my all time fave’s from Mina called Selenia and this believed it or not is a 75Ld Gacha win and you don’t just get the 1 shade you get the shade pack!  There is even a demo next to the Gacha in Mina Nakamura’s shop for you to try.

The top is a new one and a Free one.  I picked it up from the Apple May shop a simple cropped white top very handy and it’s a “emeshed into spring hunt” item which I may as well tell you where it as the clue given  cannot be any simpler, you will find the Egg with the new items.

Now for the BUY IT item, check out the booty and of course the texturing. You get 2 sets in the back a shorter pair which I’m wearing and a longer pair which I believe I’m wearing in the picture above.  I try to find as much Free/Cheap/Bargains/Hunt items as possible but that doesn’t mean I’m unwilling to spend Lindens when the items is worth it and at 150Lds these “Klara Bootcut pants from Pixicat are worth every Linden and at 150Lds definately not over priced but there is a Demo for you to try before you buy. Almost forgot to mention is that I stuck to a denim but you not only have a choice of blue denim colours but also a red, pink and turquoise colour and I would happily have bought the lot if I had the Lindens spare.

Simple Sunday(Freebie).

Just a simple one for a Sunday morning.  I was going through my invent chucking things out, reading my notices, trying on any demos and I came across this amazing full retro skirt demo from Terrie Dreadlow’s shop Has Been and so of course I had to TP my AV ass over there.

Has Been is a shop packed with big and bold 50’s style.  The cinched in waists with the enormous skirts, bold bright colours, chunky shoes and cute little cardigans and this great little Group Gift Freebie.  Comes with all the sizes and an extra sizing for those with added curves.  A great way to start a Sunday morning.

Zanzo – its Fate

I bought a pair of the sooper dooper new FATE step nylon chucks last week and was on the look out for something adorabubble to wear with them. After browsing SL Universe  last night and reading about a new-to-me store Zanzo, I sped over there to take a look around. Great stuff for men & women, plus skins and some home décor. I was lured by this sweet mesh “summer buzz” hoodie dress, aint it darlin?! I’m wearin it over my slink physique mesh body and its a really perfect fit – no tweaking – no fiddling, worn straight off the peg. Go check it out, lots of other designs and styles to grab up – I was particularly impressed with the mens skins, a bit different from the usual stuff you see around.

Here’s my chucks, how very slurpable…these are by FATEstep, Damien Fate’s new line of male & female footwear. Yeh ok, I didn’t just buy these – I hold my hands up and confess, I bought a few more. Anyyyyhoo back to the chucks, there are actually two designs of these , one is more plain but I just loved these snazzy babies. The designs on the HUD are original art by Nylon Pinkney, it’s SO hard to select just one to wear – I keep on changing mine every five mins or so ! The box is vast and contains the following:  The Nylon Chucks come with 46 texture options in the HUD (23 normal and 23 dirty). Works with default avatars, Slink Male Flat feet, Slink Female Flat feet, and Maitreya Flat Feet. Unisex yay! Btw you dont have to wear the ankle socks , its an option too.

Heres the HUD, you really can make them your own and customise them, or if lazy like me – go with some of the designs stashed in the HUD. Brilliant !
