The Aphrodite collection (plus free gift)

Oh you lucky ladies, Sax Shepherd has been working his fingers to the bone to bring you something truly decadent and gorgeous. Not only for your tootsies but also a whole new range of jewels to wrap around your body! I tried the new Aphrodite shoes on and spent a happy hour playing with the HUD, you can change the jewel colours and metal textures to so many configurations its mind spinning. I adore the HUD that Sax uses , it gives you such control of every aspect of his work so you can really personalise the look of it. “Jewel options include Diamonds, Pearls, Ruby and Onyx. The jewels themselves are divided into three zones allowing for plenty of mix and match options. Be lavished with diamonds for formal events, pearls for weddings, and mix rubies and onyx for edgy fashion photos.” There are plenty of packs depending on what you’re looking for, from bridal to WDP (whole damm pack!). I’m showing the decadence version above.

I chose a really bright combo of red garnets, diamonds and onyx stones to go with a red dress I was wearing, eye-popping! I have to admit my favourite look was all sparkly diamonds, although the wedding pack does have some really gorgeous pearls. I cant wait to go dancing in these babies ! (These are for Slink high feet btw)

Closer view of the Aphrodite jewels, it was simpledimple to match the look of the bracelet,earrings and choker to that of the shoes, couple of clicks and I was ready to roll. I simply adore the large ring, and I don’t generally wear rings in SL, but this is a real looker and given that its such a versatile little thing , one I shall be wearing a lot .

 

The red dress I had tried them on with originally is from BDR and is a new group gift, the gift actually comes with  a set of pretty heels for slink High feet. The dress comes in a trillion versions for most mesh bodies, traditional clothing layers and a mesh skirt, verrrry slinkydinky no?

New Years Eve pour deux

If you’re looking for something for two to celebrate New Years Eve, take a peek at this lovely new release from Aphrodite. A single dining table covered in a twinkly cloth and complete with multi menu place settings. It’s so romantic and stylish it could also be utilised for any celebration throughout the year really. Each chair has eating, drinking and conversing animations, for both males & females. On the table are tiny little star-shaped tealights, crystal cut glasses, and a super pretty clock face inspired plate. Included is a side table that holds  a pitcher of wine, a Champagne bucket & bottle and a sign that dispenses hats and head bands upon touch!

Everything you could possibly need for a glorious evening is in the set. My favourite piece has to be the golden vases of star sprays – I’ve actually got these in real life and they were on my Christmas dining table this year! It took me quite literally hours and hours to open my Christmas gifts in SecondLife – yes, I was thoroughly spoilt ! I will endeavour to share as much as I can with you over the next few days. Above are jeans specifically made for the SLink Physique mesh body. High waist style, but they do sell other variants. I popped over to the store and noticed they sell versions of these pants for other mesh bodies also ! Naturally I had to treat myself to the matching mesh jacket, you can wear it with or without the sweet tube top and both have massive amounts of colour choice on a handy dandy hud. These are by Absolut Vendetta, which appears to be part of the Vista brand – I had NO idea Vista made clothing! My boots are from a store I haven’t been to for agesss, Opium. The interesting thing about the boots is the colour packs. You choose one range and the Hud gives you a glorious amount of colours within the range you’ve selected – great value! My range was brown to red, but as you can see it includes a LOT of colours in between.

 

Onto a gift that came through a few days ago from Beautiful Dirty Rich – gawd its an enormous package ! You get all three outfits above, plus appliers for most of the mesh bodies on the market at the moment. Group join has always been free so I believe it still is.

My favourite of the lot is the leopard print sweater, super classy in the gray and white option no? Ohhhhh my shoes are by whatever, and are an absolute steal at 69L ! I thought Id bought a black pair, so was pleasantly surprised to find upon opening the box, I had actually got four different pairs from white to black, blimey. These are available at The Dressing Room Fusion event that ends on 1st January.

Ohhh look its me inside our gorgeous newwww home ! Its going to take weeks, maybe even months to set it all up – so we are currently living in our little apartment. This is the group gift complete outfit in the BDR package. The appliers are plentiful and Cameron has designed a new all-in-one HUD yay! Actually I was reading her blog and saw what she wrote about her group gift policy – which was really lovely, I hope you don’t mind me repeating it here:

“I get asked often about old group gifts, even once someone asked me why there isn’t a “join group fee” due to the quality of the gifts (*blushes*), I appreciate it tho, but no, the point of a gift is that it’s free, that you can get some nice stuff without paying ;D (who doesn’t like that?)
Before creating *B.D.R.*, I used to help girls with advices and stuff about SL, most likely new residents and from my own experience I know how hard it is to start here and specially without buying L$. Unfortunately after creating *B.D.R.* it was pretty much impossible for me to keep helping new girls, since then group gifts have been the best way for me to do it, this is why I put so much effort with gifts, because I want you to have something nice and I’m glad to help, specially new girls, so if I start charging for a fee, those girls wouldn’t be able to pay for it, which is not what I had in mind from the beginning.
Sooooooooooooo after thinking about it for a while I decided that I’m not going charge for a group fee, however, group gifts released from 2015 are not going to be fully exclusive anymore (which has been the policy since 2009). Group gifts are still going to be an exclusive color from a new outfit/release or it can be a fully exclusive outfit/design, but the gift is not going to be removed anymore.
Short words, once I change the gift for a new one, the old gift is going to remain at the store and available for new group members to grab it.”

Get shocked!

So I managed to squeeze into SL for a little time and handed to me on a plate or rather posted in a group was the LM to a whole new set of Lucky Boards of old Group Gifts from Luzifee Designs.  You don’t have to be a Group member to be able to grab them so I won this simple knitted dress from a selection of clothes and shoes.  If the LM doesn’t take you to them they’re actually outside on the wall and I will say that in the little time I stood there going through my notes and notices the letters changed often and I also noticed how numbers came up pretty frequently so if you’re SL name starts with a number this is a row of Lucky Boards you might find extra lucky.

As I was grabbing the LM I wandered inside and grabbed the new Group Gift in the main store, a bright red coat/jacket with a thick knitted scarf.  Both are seperates and both look good together or as seperates so worth popping in for that and also the Group is free to join.

I as well as everyone else in a group got a notice about Novembers Gift from Curves and unlike everyone else who TPed straight over to the shop to grab it I logged into Curves Marketplace shop and not only grabbed it but you will see that there is a total of 26 bargain priced skins/shapes/applier packs for both men and women some even as low as 10Lds.

This skin and it looks like the others are the same are priced at a token 20Lds and for that you get a pretty generous package.  Skin/Shape/Appliers and the shock is I’m actually wearing the shape!!!  I’m nearly always glued into either my Anna’s shape or my mesh body so to see me in a shape from someone else is so unusual but I think it actually works!

PS there is also the Winter Fantasy Hunt going on and since that doesn’t end till the 15th plenty of time to grab some goodies.

If you’re thinking of having a New Year bash – get yourself over to Aphrodite. They have got absolutely everrrrrrything to help you celebrate. From balloons to tasty nibbles, it’s all there. The “New Year Party” set is enormous, seriously. Sushi, balloons,sweets and more.

Take a seat.

A little bit of a mooch around and I found myself at Faboo.  They still have their large Christmas card out and if you touch it you get these rather good and as you can see from the heels stylish wedges.  Athough the ribbon is supposed to be Christmassy in style I think they’re all year round wearable.  You do have to have SLink High Feet for these but maybe since now you can get so many amazing bargains and freebies for these feet it’s time to splurge and treat yourself to some.

As I was meandering around the shop I spotted my initial on one of the Lucky Chairs so I hopped on and snagged a Bikini.

A simple non mesh little skimpy with prim/mesh bows at the hip, chest etc.  Does come in different clothing layers and is also Tango Lola’s ready.  So it gave me a good excuse to pop over to my beloved beachy sim and pull a few poses.

The group, Faboo, is free to join and once you’ve grabbed the shoes make sure to go inside as there is quite a selection of GG’s and nice to see some for the boys as well.  Special mention to the shorts, I’ve blogged them before and they’re perfect with bikini’s.

We’re back.  As I logged off Faith logged in so it looks like the team is back in business.  Although because my OH has managed to get some time off work I’ll be keeping my posts KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) and this morning it definitely was a case of “kiss”.  This is the first Freebie sent out to me from Loovus and it’s called Solange. It’s a Sub gift so you don’t have to join the group just go and slap the sub board and if you’re already subbed to them but haven’t received your pressie just pop over and click the board and select “History” and then the number 2 and your giftie will be sent to you.

A simple asymmetrical dress, what you see is what you get and what a brill way to start off after Christmas. Green is my fav colour esp this forest green, the ruffles and folds are lovely and deep which gives it such a realistic look.  A single short sleeve with a matching ruffle is a lovely touch.

So definitely worth a pop over and a quick snag.
