Its time

 

Tomorrow is the day ! The latest round of The Arcade opens on the 1st June, so gird your loins, warm up those teleport fingers (or lazy boy hud) and join the veritable stampede of people all wanting to feed those gacha machines. Scarlet Creative has yet again come up with the goods – I’m always surprised that Charlotte’s gacha machine is just $50L a pop, everything is quality, pretty and you get a real scoop with every win. The rare for this round is the Nerites house and gawd its lovely. A fairy tale build, tall spires from the roof, a slight flavour of the East with the design. Yet every nook and cranny screams shabby chic with a dash of Victorian! This is a one floor build with aspirations to a second floor with the use of heaps of huge windows, tons of glass and a unique layout.

I hope you can see how quirky the layout is from my photos, it’s always so hard to show it off. As you walk around the house wraps itself around you like a comfortable friend, you almost know it but then find a little corner hidden away to delight you with thoughts of what to place there.

I’m never entirely sure with Charlottes builds, which is the front and which s the back – which is actually pretty cool, no defined way to use the space – it just works. You can see here the fantastic glazed area along one side – shouts out for plants and pots no?

I do love the textures used, I know I bang on about them but they are the fabric of the build. Charlotte’s uses such soft tones and peeling plaster, you feel as if you can reach out and rub a cheek against it, or smell the faded wood – each one to me is like a banquet for the senses.

Because I’m short on time but long on thoughts – you will have to make do with the advertising shot for the other gacha wins. Take my word for it though (and I’ve tested and fiddled about with EVERY piece) they are just gorgeous. I think I noted a couple of new poses in the sofa and bed which was a pleasure to find. ohmaigawd, if I hadn’t been lucky to buddy up with someone else, I wouldn’t be doing this blog post! There is a mini hunt happening at Rayne – its on till the 4th June so no immediate rush. It all sounds prettttty simple dimple, but the reality is its quite hard. I know I know I’m useless at hunts – but seriously, youve only got to find four little (and I mean teeny) boxes with clues that lead you to the prize – and I struggled majorly . Anyyywayyy, mission accomplished and heres the gifty- complete little summer outfit and its so darling. Skirt, top and sunnies. Fitted mesh for the top and standard size, some mesh body & standard sizes for the skirt – precious! Have fun and don’t come knocking for hints ! (When you land hit up the big sign board for your first hint and then follow the clues)

My poor sorry A** (Freebie).

OH Lord I survived Spin Cycling, but only just.  I’ve spent the last 48 hours walking like a cowboy and with each painful step making moaning noises like a Zombie out of the Walking Dead.

So I gave SL a miss yesterday…OK I spent the best part of the day prone on my bed moaning to everyone who came close to me lol.

So this morning I logged in and sorted out my notes/notices and spotted this simple goodie.  Just the top this time.  You get 5 standard mesh sizes and 5 mesh body sizes so a fit for all shapes and sizes.

Eyelure isn’t a big shop so I decided to have a little wander around and what did I find? some excellent sports/gym clothes.  Suitable for those who play sports in SL or just want to pose like a Gym Bunny. I did grab some demos and then binned them without even trying them on as I just know I would be tempted.

Circa have a fantastic collection of cafe pieces out at Swank currently – it finishes on the 31st of May so hurry up! The really cool thing about them is that they really will fit in with any sort of theme. I arranged mine in this Desert styled outpost, added a few of the magical cactus plants from Zinnias gacha et voilà! I used the cherry & olive coloured set, there are other options plus a boat load more to see. So low prim and stuffed full of totally lovely poses for Males & females – posing, lounging, drinking etc – Thanks Cherelle ❤

What have I done!(Freebies).

Oh Lord I missed my afternoon session at the gym so to make up for it I’ve signed up for a Spin Cycle session at my local gym tonight and only then decided to Google it, do not Google it, just watching it is making me sweat and dry heave.

So before I go and  suffer the ultimate embarrassment, me sliding off the bike onto the gym floor weeping in pain and that’s only after 5 mins lol, I decided to do a post.

“Finesmith” has some real fine gifties out for us.

 Notice how I cleverly covered up the nip slip lol.  A very Lady Gaga look about this swan/rose hat and necklace combo.

This was the Winter gift, you can see the necklace and at the base of the headpiece are tiny snowballs but I still think it is stunning in any season.

This is one heck of an OTT hat but if you want to stand out then this is one of the best ways to do it with complete outlandishness however if it’s just a bit too OTT for you then check out the dress and the more delicate necklace and earrings I’m wearing.  The dress comes in all the mesh sizes and some mesh bodies.

What I’m not showing you is not because it’s not worth it it’s because I ran out of time…I wish I could be paid to SL but then again who wouldn’t lol, but RL was ringing the phone, knocking on the door and emailing me till I couldn’t ignore it but it’s a shame as there is another few pieces from Finesmith that are really well worth popping over to grab so if you don’t like what I’m showing  you still pop over to check out the rest of the lovely gifts.

Managed to pop inworld this morning for about 15 mins just to do FLF (Fifty Linden Fridays) and because I wanted people to notice me I sashayed around the FLF shops and made sure everyone noticed Meeeee LOL.

Thats me “sashaying” to the FLF item and I’ve just had a thought, those are my fav Mag<.3 shoes which I’m trying to remember if they’re free or probably 5Lds but I’ll pop back inworld to grab the LM for you and details as they go so well with the dress.

UPDATE The Mag<.3 shoes are only 5Lds and you can wear them with or without the socks and remember there is a wall of lovely GG’s and discounts at Magaritta’s shop.  Plus as I was wandering through Finesmith’s to relocate the Group Gift section to give you the LM I couldn’t help it but ended up treating myself to a particularly stunning “bubble” dress which fortunately for poor me was only a suprisingly low 100Lds.  This is a shop with big and bold designs for those who really want to stand out from the crowd so although the LM should take you directly to the Gifties check out the rest of the shop.

Nook for one or two

Lovely new release for the Tres Chic event from Chez Moi. This reading nook is available in two colours – Lolita (Lilac) or Youth (Green) in Adult or PG version. What I so enjoy about these sort of pieces from Chez Moi is that they don’t limit you to snuggle time, or just single pringle posing. I often cast about for something to lounge on when I’m alone in Second Life, and usually plonk myself down on a piece of furniture to find its couple poses only – this has something for every one, and some darn lovely props along for the ride!

I had a little something from Karin today! This dress is in her two stores luckyboards – no group to join either.
