Summertime @ Home (Free items)

I’ve had a lovely few hours inworld today, just basking in the garden and trying to make my inventory smaller. I hadn’t been to Dura for so long, so headed over to try on a few new styles, then came across this timeless style for free. Group join is free and the pack is right by the front desk. To go with my new hair I trawled the market place and found this sweet summer dollarbie dress. Its from Lighthouse Creations and is Maitreya fit only, there is another in pink but that was £2L and I fancied this fresh cool-as-a-cucumber green! My Sunflower pose was another great buy from the market place by Trybe – only $9L and you get the sunflower props and five poses – really nice. Happy Sunday !

I went to The Beauty Event last night – Zan wasn’t feeling so chipper, so I popped over and scooped up the ton of gifts. I mean seriously – wayyyyyy too many gifts! You’ll need to join the group which is free to click on the boxes at almost all of the stands. This little outfit from Good Girl caught my eye. Sweet as sugar shorts and top, just right for a lazy Sunday morning. If you haven’t taken a look at The Happy Weekend Sale yet be quick – it ends today. My prop and pose is from Empowered, set of poses and cakes to wear in the sale for just $60L! I grabbed a couple that were on offer actually, good stuff. Actually that reminds me – I also bought a prop & poses from Fashiowl for $60L – a quad bike ! Secret Sale Sunday !

Its time for a bit of Secret Sale Sunday! SO many great buys this Sunday, I grabbed this set from Believe $50L “My Coffee”, you get the coffee with a Hud of three colours for the cup, the bouquet of tulips and a cute ring doughnut. Each item is wearable separately so you can pick and choose which part to wear or wear them all. I also noted that Evergreen has their Guinea pigs on offer too – you seriously wont be able to resist them !

Fashiowl – as always – were very generous and have this fantastico car as their gift – heaps of poses and a real gem.

CEBO have this retro hair salon as their gift – a pose for the customer and a pose for the stylist built in – I think Id use it as a backdrop – really lovely ! It was SO difficult sticking to my measly budget – first time I’ve been a bit sad about not being able to buy anything boohoo!!

Love this time of year – I went on a mad shop yesterday to stock up on a few new sweaters in real life – and BOOM Neve releases a new one too!  Pop along to the latest round of The Liaison Collaborative to scope it all out. There is also a really neat little skirt to go with this but I am so hooked on Neve’s “Bootlegger” pants I can’t take them off ! (I think these will be at the Neve main store by now – if you haven’t tried them go take a peek – pants & boots all-in-one) Loads of choices on the sweaters, sweet wiggly lines down the shrug, brights, and of course neutrals – which I’m showing you here. You can have the top cropped if you prefer and play with the colours of the shrug too. My pose is from Poppycock – a firm favourite pose maker of mine, always such adorable props to go with them. This is from the “Dear Autumn” Gacha at the same event as the Neve gear – I couldn’t resist – I did try! This prop comes with all the props you see above, the cat, the fence (which is colour change, as is the grass) – it’s all wearable which is fabulous as you can use it anywhere! I won two of this pose – so if you want it drop me an IM in world and I will send it along to you F.O.C.

Winter Is Coming

My thoughts have already turned to winter decorating, Zan and I love to plan our winter theme early so we can get out and about spending farrrr too many Lindens in advance. I’m a big fan of Maya’s stuff, always stuffed full of furnishings, landscaping items and really cute animations. Everything in her store is $50L, and yes – that includes furnished homes with gardens!

This is the Martin Winter Cottage, a charming little home with a lounge, desk, fireplace, kitchen and even a loft bedroom. Every piece is animated and has the latest attachment scripts so no clunky attaching objects. What I totally adore is that Maya makes her items modify, so you can take out what you don’t need or want, or use items in other places or homes. I’m using a lot of her lighting lately as its so low prim and totally adorable. You get the snowy garden with this home, including some dead sweet winter trees and plants ! I would probably use my own bed (we always get used to certain animations don’t we?) and quite possibly add some more wintry plants – grab this and fool around with everything !
