Beach Life Free

Yippppppee ! Dench Designs has a new group gift for you – word of warning though – you wont want to leave it – ever! This is the beach hut, free to group members and the group is free to join. It’s just fantastic – seriously – I set mine up on my faux beach and felt so relaxed with the sound effects playing (you can turn them off if you prefer) Packed full of fahhhhbulous poses in the deck chairs, the couch, the kitchenette, the dining area and even ON THE ROOF ! I love the set up of Dench’s items – you can rez as much or as little of the props as you like – I haven’t rezzed the lights or the fire-pit above – there is lots to play with !

Here is a little taster – but head over and grab your own copy. It’s a proper little beach hut – the windows can be closed and a sheer curtain gives you some privacy if you pull it across. Of courrrrse you also have a choice of fabrics for the hut, the couch, and even the table-cloth – READ the information note to get the best out of it. I might decide to stay here for the whole summer ❤ Thank you Amanda.

Perfect Ten & a cheap summer !

New round of Perfect Ten and it got me thinking about searching out some cheap & free items to do some summertime decorating. I’ve been working in my summer-house for a week or so now in my real life, so gave it a go to replicate in SL. First off the Beach hut with deck is actually  FREE! It’s from The Beachstore and is 16Li, in the box I discovered some further little huts in a rainbow of colour – how lovely. The retro looking ice box is also a freebie and only 2Li. For just $10L you can snap up the chairs & table set – 10Li in total, but you don’t have to use the whole set. All other decor are dollarbies listed below for your convenience. The cactus plants are by Zinnia, various prices and LI.

I found this sweet skirt and top on the MPlace for $10L, lots of mesh body sizes included and the cutest ever sandals at Kirin on the lucky board – mesh feet and standard sizes.

Now this is the paid for piece and its well worth shelling out for. Lunar Seasonal Designs “Get to work desk”, it’s all a bit magical as their pieces often are! So, you sit , then you can choose colours of each piece (worn and shabby textures included) Then you can select what decor you’d like to be on display – Li 2-9 depending on what you have out. Fourteen single poses and five cuddles – had a lot of fun playing with this!

The curtains behind me are coolio – only $5L and you can open or close them by touch – super pretty!

Aphrodite are in this round of the Swank event, they have this gorgeous beach hideout “happy place” in both PG & Adult versions. ($199L & $299L) Its got loads of poses, mostly for couples but I also found some for singlepringles (and their dog of course). Sweet piles of pillows to lounge on, if you touch the ladder you also get a menu for various décor items that appear, such as curtain light, ivy, lantern etc – adorable touch!

My French bulldog got very interested in my bowl of cookies – yes yes there is FOOD in the menu too ! O.o must mention my new hair-do its by TUKINOWAGUMA and is called Alette, there are two styles to choose from both just $175L, the HUD for colour change is massive – great value. Seemed to be some great items on offer in this round of Cosmopolitan.

A week or so ago Aphrodite also released various trays of drinki-poo’s and nibbles – this is the Lemoncello version complete with delicious looking truffles – just touch and you’re offered a drink or chocolate – yummmm. For the curious amongst you – Limoncello is one of my all time favourite drinks – infact Player got me drunk as a skunk on it a few months ago! Its lemony and refreshing , I have mine with ice or a mixer which Player says is a dreadful thing to do but oh well, Im English.

FYI: Limoncello (pronounced lee-mon-CHAY-low) is an Italian lemon liqueur known for its refreshing sweet and tangy flavor. It is made from lemon rinds, alcohol, sugar and patience.

Limoncello has its roots in Southern Italy, primarily along Italy’s Amalfi Coast and Sorrentine Peninsula, known for their meticulous lemon cultivation. Locales of production include the Sorrentine Peninulsa and the Amalfi coast and the Gulf of Naples and in Procida, Ischia and Capri. It is also produced in Sicily and Sardinia.

Although traditionally served as a digestive, or after-dinner drink that aids in digestion, limoncello can be enjoyed at other times of the day, particularly in a cocktail. You can also enjoy it in a varity of foods as well. Limoncello can be a wonderful ingredient in cooking    and baking.

[CIRCA] Goes wild !

I’ve been a fan of CIRCA for a year or so now and I’ve not known Cherelle do anything remotely like this next range “The Lost Island of Tane”…its tiki and willllld! LOVE it. (Reminds me a little of a game I play on my ipad – Virtual Villagers). Once Id rezzed up a storm from the boxes, I was amazed at the low-primness of it all. Zan and I keep a few hundred spare prims on our estate for such occasions but I just didn’t need them, all the pieces of this range are sooperdooper low and not resource hogging at all hurrah! Above you can see two of the main items from this new selection, the tiki house and warrior hut.

Wether youre role-playing or just want a superb new island home, this fit the bill. Good details and lovely textures make the structure blend in effortlessly. The larger build has a sliding entrance door and inside the most sweet little bamboo hammock bed/lounger build right in, its got oooodles of poses too. Theres also a table and some pots just to make it instantly cozy. The windows have swung open shutters and ornate tiki style decorations, plus a canoe underneath and ladder to get inside of course.

There are a whole host of other pieces to this vast collection, plants and grasses (some I have scattered about on the ground below the huts. Totem poles and camp fires – one of which has a pretty cool dance animation to really bring your camp to life ! Theres shelving and the cutest collared lizards to dot around. All pertty scrumptiously lowwww prim too.
