It’s my fault.

I’ve been unpacking all the freebies from all the recent events and I’m TPing to the shops who have donated the gifts, ok especially the nice or interesting ones and that’s how I ended up at a shop called 7 Style.

Not a massive amount of stock but some interesting designs and I came across this jumper and thought oooo nice and a nice 80Ld price tag…can you see the boxes are being ticked here?

I think you can see why I was tempted but I didn’t read the dreaded “small print” on the poster because the 80Lds was just for the hud and I had to go back and buy the sweater/shirt combo separately. Since I had tried on the demo and loved its quirky peplum look I decided I’d buy the shirt as without it the hud is pretty useless.

You do get a really nice selection of colours for the sweater, 15 I think but only 3 for the shirt and that’s white, off-white and black so it’s a shame there wasn’t a little more variety.

So to cheer myself up I dug out my Sousaphone because I’ve never had the excuse to use it and now I do.

But once you know that it looks like the huds and clothing are bought separately then you know what the cost is going to be and this in the end only cost me 179Lds so we’re not talking a fortune here.  As I’ve said it’s not a big shop at the moment but there is menswear as well as some interesting new designs.

PS.  You can just buy the sweater/shirt without the hud and I think the demo is the colour you get, ie either white or off-white.

Golden Brown, Freebie.

Just a simple and classic SL outfit but updated for the season.

Both the top and skirt have a light knit texture and both come as separates.  The back of the top has a low cut effect to it and ALL of the mesh and mesh bod sizing.  Simple and so wearable!

Red Hot Ice Cold. (Freebies and NEW Mina Hair).

Sometimes I keep an item in my invent that I may never wear again but it acts as a reminder of a good shop in SL to keep on popping back to check out for new stuff and of course in my case new free stuff and Blackrose is one of them and check out what I found.

Yes I had editing fun BITE ME! but it wasn’t because this dress needed it.  Although not as blood-red as the picture it’s a stunning colour, stunning fit and stunning texturing.

The reason I’ve taken a shot of the back is not just to show you the zipper detail but the low nape bun.  The hair is the New Mina hair called Chantal and it comes from the Gacha Garden which basically means it’s going to be at a slashed down bargain price because we all know Gacha=Great prices BUT the Gacha Garden doesn’t officially open till tomorrow and TBH this is such a good event you may have to wait a few days before you can squeeze in..  But if you can’t wait till then did you know that Mina’s also have Gacha’s in her main shop???? I do because 2 of my all time fav and goto hairs were actual Gacha wins.  And you don’t just get 1 hair 1 colour you get a BB or NO (big boobs or no boob) version if thats applicable and a colour pack all you take a chance on it’s the actual colour pack you win and I’ve never been disappointed in any of the Mina hair shades.

Now for the cold.

It’s just the jumper, but the jeans and shoes are both very old hunt gifts which shows how with a little time and patience and of course with a bit of fun you can win some really good stuff…but these are oldies and still goodies.  In any case this lovely jumper actually comes in not just all the Mesh sizes in XXS&XXL but also a shirt/jumper combo or the jumper on its own and I’m wearing the shirt/jumper one.

Faith will confirm this but we will cringe at the memory of old sculpted or primmed puffer jackets and coats which came with so many bits and they looked like straight jackets and then we have the brilliant mesh versions! No comparison at all.  So as you can see a forest green padded puffer with the black shirt underneath.

For once I didn’t just grab and run and had a nice leisurely wander around the shop.  A Brilliant selection of everything, some very brightly coloured and textured summer clothing, check out the retro swim suits upstairs, and some excellent winter clothing.  I snagged a whole load of Demos and spent a lovely time just trying them on.

Ladies when you land you goto the shop on the right but for the boys turn left to the Costarlos shop and I spotted not only some great freebies for men but also if you have some Lindens to spend some exc menswear.

Poncho – love them !

I love a good poncho, easy to sling on over things and always look so adorable. ArisAris has just released this new outfit called “Icelandic”, it contains the knitted poncho which looks so woolie and nubbly and home made . Great fit on this btw. You also get a slightly flared knitted skirt to go with it.

One thing I always forget to mention, when you arrive at ArisAris there is a teleport board to use, once you arrive in the store you usually also get given a gift – mmhmm I think the last gift I was given by the auto greeter was a green dress, not sure if it changes but a really nice touch. Thanks Ariadna ❤ My hair is one of the new releases from Argrace this month called “Haku”, I adore this hair-do and have to remind myself  that I do in fact own several hundred other styles that I should wear now and then ! My trusty winter bike is by whatnext – three poses included. I didn’t realise it is  at a really low price of 50L on the market place currently – so grab yourself one ! (there is also a Christmas version for 50L too)

Winter Coats

I’ve got two new releases to share, same coats – different creators ! Above is the Somali coat by Bubblez. Heavy tweed fabric with grey trimmed fur cuffs, a matching collar with a sweet bow, plus a co ordinating fur hat. Check out the tiny gothic crosses around the waist…and the mock white skirt beneath – lovely details.

The “seed” bag is available at the RMK Gothic Frost Fair, SO darling! sheer material, so you can see the objects inside – pine cones and a dainty pocket watch.

ArisAris have also released this style of coat but it’s so different from the more Goth inspired one by Bubblez above. This one is a houndstooth check material, with mink fur trimmings and a matching scarf. For the record Id wear both and LOVE both, just goes to show how different creators have differing visions of the end product huh?!

Early Bird.

Sadly it’s too early to use my Mistletoe but I finally found a beanie good enough to make me pull my finger out of my lazy ass and edit a hair to fit a beanie.

As you can see in this picture the fit is close to the head so you don’t get that “helmet” look.  You get a resizer version as well as the standard fit so you got a  big head NP you got pin head NP. Hat and snood are one purchase (150Lds for both) but each comes with its own 8 colour hud which means you can either make them match or have them 2 different colours.

SF Designs still caters mainly for the non mesh market but doesn’t lack in quality and styling for it and of course not everyone wants or can use Mesh, however swaffette Firefly is now creating her own mesh and this beanie and snood are prime examples of it and if you want to see more of her Mesh items then look higher on the walls.  This hat/snood set is in the main entrance but the other mesh items are higher on the walls with also hats and hair and other items.

There is what looks like a matching pair of gloves to go with the hat/snood but that’s a group gift. Not free to join (100Lds) but this is a group that doesn’t forget to put out monthly group gifts so you certainly get you’re moneys worth for it.

Sweater girl with a vintage twist

Immerse has an exclusive for The upcoming Fashion Fair, it begins on the 30th November, one to look out for. The new dress is called “Sequoia”, lovely tight fitting sweater dress with a beautiful bow tied belt at the front. (thanks Lily <3)

I wore it with my newwww super elegant Slink shoes from Eclectica (thanks Tiffy <3) These are the” bowed court shoe”s, the fabric is a rich brocade, so lush! Lots of other colours available (the silver and black are just yummy) and at 190L a pair – very affordable. These are also materials ready hoohah!
