Oh what a fantastic day we had yesterday – basking in the sunshine – watching the Royal Wedding – Fabulous! I wanted to capture some of the romance of the day and decided to give the new Romantic Ruin by Chez Moi a whirl. This is available and out for demo at Tres Chic – its right in the centre of all the displays you cant miss it ! You have four choices of fabric for the seating area and also a choice of adult or PG animations. I added some of the Jian Doves and a little tray by What next – but you could go totally wild and add loads more – it’s really a brilliant build to add to your home !

I hunted the market place the other day for something cheap & cheerful to utilise as a background for some winter furniture. Imagine my surprise when I found this brilliant little home, all ready for winter from what next! Now what next is  a premium type of store, its one of my fav’s – and this little baby was just $100L all in. heres some deets:

* fits on any size plot

* small, built to scale – makes an ideal romantic retreat, playhouse or just adorable feature for outdoors landscaping.

* wood siding, with snowy roof, porch, frosted windows with snowflake detail

* two upstairs faux windows – touch the front one’s window frame to light both up for a pretty night time effect.

* front door opens on touch (not lockable)

* linked fireplace – menu-driven, touch logs for audio/flame FX

* chimney outside has optional smoke FX

* includes outdoors lantern, pile of wood decor

* 63 prims (with unlinked door/fireplace), lantern= 4 prims, log pile 6 prims)

* includes snow clump and snow texture to match cabin snow

* other furnishings, landscaping and decor NOT included

* perms = copy/mod/no trans (scripts for faux windows copy only)

It beautifully made inside and out, prims are 73 (that includes the lantern & log pile which are not hard linked) This is only available on the market place but apparently there is one set up at the inworld store for size comparison.

I found time to pop inworld between holidays! Yes yes I am off on my travels again Thursday, but I really wanted to share a coupla items with you before I leave. (More if I have time) Anyhoooo Neve have some pretty things out in the form of sundresses , two styles with a whole heap of colours and patterns. Each set comes with it’s on Hud that gives a choice of four colourways (Above is “cadence” blossom pack) – neat! The adorable strawberry patch Im sat on is by Jinx, it comes with two versions, one as above and one with an “AFK” sign, no prims taken up as it’s a wearable yipppeee! There are a few of these in the store – and uhm – well lets just say I may have a bit of an addiction to wearable stuff, ok?

 

Second style of frock “vivi” from Neve, I plumped for the blossom version again – gotta love me some florals. My hair is a new buy from Monso – love this hair designer to bits. You can grab this at the new round of Kustom9. Parasol was from this round of Collabor88 , by whatsnext. Fat pack of different colours and two packs with different designs. Pose is built right in, which is always cool. At just $80L a pack, you’d be missing a great deal. (I bought all three whatsnext items because – well – it was there and so prettttty)

Its Go Go Goji!

Oh yusss! Goji has a bundle of new goodies out for you, and for those that just adore kitty’s it’s a real bonus situation. Above is the new “Kitten” outfit, sweet baggy sweater with a dainty pan collar, attached to a cute puffy short skirt. This is the tartan version, cause you know, tartan is just so Crissmassy! Now, don’t forget that Goji items fit a wide range of the most popular mesh bodies on the grid (Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique + Hourglass, Belleza Isis + Freya) as well as standard sizing XXS to M, so we all get the pretties that fit as perfectly, doesn’t get better than that. This comes with a nifty HUD of course, that has four different colours to fool about with.

Had to show you the “purr” version of Kitten ! Dead cute , also with the four colour HUD which makes it such a winner in my book. I didn’t go for the pink version (faint) as this gorgeous Seasonal red was just too yummy to miss out on.

“BooBoo” is the other new frock in town, sleek and stylish with a shrug effect at the top, 3/4 length sleeves and a real tight tight fit. This comes in other variants, the stripe one is SO adorable, but I alwaysss show the stripy one – so I resisted! Take a peek at the whole range right here. Thanks Goji Team ❤

Its hunt time !

Yippeeee its hunt time at one of my all time favourite places. Yes, yes the Kiyomizu Hunt is on, its simple and you’ll love the gifts ! You’re looking for a little black cat, or in some cases, a giant black cat. There is no cost to this hunt btw, which is super generous of the designers. I’m wearing the gift outfit from Karin, you get the shirt and skirt and also a HUD that gives you a few colour options for the whole piece. I’m wearing it over my Slink Physique mesh body and as you can see it works perfectly – also included is an alpha for non mesh bodies . My shoes are a hunt gift from SMC, you get a fair few pairs in the box , suitable for SLink flat feet, TMP and also some for the guys – phew! Ohhh I did pop over to the ploom retirement sale and nabbed this sweet “do” called Cassie, only cost me £100L and in the box were two variants of the style – steal !

Grand Isolation – renting a home in Second Life

Time for another look at the rental market, I always love to do these posts – hope you enjoy them and find them useful. I came across CLM rentals and took a peek at what they had to offer. Quite a range of rental homes and land, starting from a little as $50L per week. Most of the “budget” range seemed to be furnished, not bad but Id prefer to use my own stuff really. You can’t ask for furniture removals on the budget homes, but you can on the others (over $100L per week range). I liked the look of this Lighthouse, something a little different no? It cost me $99L for a week, furnished and with 50 prims to use. As usual with me, I asked for everything to be removed so I could furnish myself. After everything was taken I had the grand total of 65 prims yay! That’s more than enough to create a cozy and stylish place. There are four floors to this dwelling, I used the ground as a lounge/ kitchen, 2nd floor as a dining room, 3rd floor bedroom and left the 4th floor empty as it was nice to have a walk around area outside. I have ONE prim left for emergencies! Group auto return is set to on in the properties, so make sure you’re wearing your group tag BEFORE placing stuff out – or it gets delivered back to you pretty pronto. (The group invite arrives as soon as you’ve paid the rent)

I used almost exclusively furniture from Bazar, low prim and brilliantly made. The fire in my bedroom is by what next – gotta have a snuggly fire near my bed. Once I was finished decorating (I LOVE decorating) I decided to survey the new area. One of the reasons I chose the lighthouse, is that I can avoid looking at the land behind me, it isn’t a pretty view , but…its not hard to ignore it. Once I’m inside my lighthouse I tend to look out of the windows at the sea – that suits me just fine. I did take a look at a few other homes being offered and found some dead cute ocean front sort of tiki houses. Well appointed and nicely set out and ever so inexpensive ! Definitely do check the other homes, I’m pretty sure you will find something to your taste.
