Deconstruct to Reconstruct(Freebies).

I swear tomorrow I’m going to clear my platform of all the clutter, pack up the contents of my old house which are still floating in the air and just clean up my carp! until then check out more clutter lol.

So basically I was checking out the fountains I have in my invent for this really nice area in front of my home and I came across a simply stunning one that turned out to be an old gift so  I TPed over to the shop to see if this GG was still there, it isn’t, and if there is some new GGs, there are.   I picked 3 GG’s up and slapped a couple of gift boards before I had a good wander around and then TPed home to have even more fun.

The first item I’m showing you is this little meadow/tree set.  It’s all linked and comes with an unlinked bench which tbh I didn’t bother to put out. This tree and all the ground cover grasses is only 11prims, not sure how many prims the bench is though.

This stone vase is only 7 prims and I’m not showing you the oversized rose bush on a trellis.

BUT what has got me all excited is that Bunny Badger the owner of Two Moon Gardens has allowed all of her gifts to be not only COPY but MOD and I’ve been tearing them apart with my bare teeth…ok with simple editing skills.

For example, the vase has bunches of these miniature Violas(?) which are only a prim each and will look stunning in the cracks of my old walls.  The grasses can be scattered across the sim to blend in with other grasses and break up the uniformity.  I have to be honest and say that the fountain set has, even more, examples of little cottage type bunches of flowers so when I get inworld I will be stripping that back to the bare bones but remember these are copyable which means no matter what I do to the original I will still have an untouched copy in my invent.

Gonna be a fun afternoon doing all of that and TBH If you haven’t learned how to unlink and other basic editing in SL it’s about time for you to give it a try and you couldn’t get more perfect items to test yourself on.

But of course you could keep these all together, the one thing I noticed about the …shop is that it has houses and small items for you to buy but the bulk of the stock is predesign scenes I’m only assuming but I feel that when you buy a preset piece it comes all in place just like the group gifts are so if you’re not into the fiddling with landscaping then this is perfect in fact it’s what I call “idiot proof”.

PS The gifts are on 2 levels and there is a handy TP board to take you to all areas of the sim but you might want to check out the MP to get an idea of the sort of things this shop has.

Peace in the crowd

Home & garden expo Shady picnic tree

As with all big events in Second Life, sometimes as you wander around you find some peaceful areas to rest-a-while. If you can’t find them there, grab up a few pretty things and plant them in your own garden…as I did with this “The Olde Shade Tree Picnic Set” by  Roawenwood. It’s rather spectacular, a ginormous tree with a large canopy of leaves to keep you protected from the sunrays…big gnarled roots that ferret away into the earth, surrounded by stones and delicate sprays of flowers. Hidden beneath the tree is a traditional picnic rug, with poses galore for singles & couples….it doesnt get much more perfect does it?!

Home & garden expo Glas homes Natane home 61 prims approx - Two Moons Gardens Cherry Blossom Place

I mentioned this  Natane home by Glas earlier. Here it is in the background. Go take a look at Sandi Glas’s work, the Natane was my favourite as it could be so versatile. Use it as a sky home, or on the ground, it’s very stylish and modern but also works with a setting as above. (61 prims approx) – Two Moons Gardens created this stunning “Cherry Blossom Place”. A winding pathway, bench stuffed full of poses and flowers & trees…everrrrrrywhere!

Home & Garden Expo - Forest Feast trees - various

If like me you’re always looking out for outrageously beautiful trees with barely any prim cost…look at forest feast . They have some amazingly detailed trees for as little as 2 prims per tree, lots of options on them such as glow, colours etc. I made some patches of colour with them around Zan and I’s home sim at Dreamworks, they make such a BIG difference.

The Home & Garden Expo web site for all url’s and info

Look at the web site and go to the tab at the top for ” Exhibitors”. You will find a drop down menu for all the stores at the Expo, listing which sim they are in.
