FREE, 25Lds and “you paid how much”!!!!

Faith has waved her fairy wand and our sim has gone from blinding white to green in celebration of Spring, and yes I know it’s early but it’s our SL and in our SL it’s getting warmer.

Anyhow, I decided it was time to refresh the tree’s, any excuse to go shopping.

This is the FREEBIE from Nadine Reverie’s shop called 3D Trees (but there is more than just tree’s in her shop or rather her sims).

I’ve rezzed 2 copies of this Hawthorn Tree and shrunk the one that’s slightly in front of the larger one.  Both sizes are 10prims but this is a substantial tree and if you have a small plot then a tree of this size is a perfect plot filler.  Although it’s a freebie it lacks none of the quality and a nice little bonus is that it’s copy and MOD, my fav word.  I didn’t tear it apart limb from limb but I know that you can take big chunks of it to create big shrubs and they work out at just 1 prim.  So I’ve left these 2 on our sim and when I get back in I’m gonna shred em.

These trees are the 25Ld ones and I will be back to the “Over the Moon” shop as there is other landscaping items at more than reasonable prices.

All of these pictures were taken in our sims setting and I think there is a lovely haze around these trees but they stand up so well in so many settings and again only 25Lds! Copy as well, not sure about mod as I’ve only just started slapping stuff down and will get to the finer landscaping when I’ve got all the planting I want.

These trees come in sets of 6 linked together and for the linked trees they’re only 2 prims and they have a nice random link to them and I have spotted they are mod but I’ve not played with them yet.

These are the “you paid how much”trees.

TBH I can’t remember how much I paid for these Larch tree’s it probably was something like 1,250Lds and they were worth every Linden.

One of the lessons I’ve learned is that if you can buy landscaping that is seasonal then buy it because if it’s as quality as these are they will last you not just for SL years but SL seasons as changing out seasonal landscaping can cost you so much money in the end so trees, shrubs etc like this can end up being a great investment in the end.

You can also buy these trees at cheaper prices, I think they start at 300Lds, of course at that price they come with some restrictions ie non-copy, non-seasonal etc but it’s clearly marked on the box as to what that set does.  As I’ve said I’ve got the seasonal and in this picture they’re set for spring.  This is a great shop even if you just have a small plot as you can buy eveything from a single tree to a forest and with if you check out her MP shop you can buy from as little as 10Lds!

PS. These massive trees and unbelievably only 2-3 prims.

3D Trees. (Inworld) OK, The LM will take you a set LM and in front of you is 3 boxes clearly marked and you just click on the one for the trees and once you’ve TPed you just  follow the path through the”golden archway” past the AV, I swear he has been stood there for a couple of days now, past the grapevines on the trellis and VOILA it’s just there on the small hill in front of the Swamp Cyprus tree’s LOL.  Sounds a bit convoluted but honestly if you go over I think it will all seem clear as to where you have to go to find it plus I must add that I don’t think the tree is marked as being free but when you click on it you can see it is.

Pottering & Parks

Autumn is my favourite time of the year and along comes Circa with some totally fabulous seasonal releases! The studio style building is one of the releases – “FieldView” – really tempting open plan build with windows either end to let in the glorious Autumn sun-rays. It comes with two planters and an ivy clad trellis wall. (Build is 36Li , plant decor 9Li) Check out the circular planters (part of the “Waterton” release), large array of different plants available plus of course the single tress with multi tone leaves via the menu and the tree with bench. Sweet single and couple poses built-in and texture change on the tiles.

Also out now is the “Waterton” Park & Garden collection. I am so loving this – the details for the plants and foliage are superb. Of course I gravitated towards the fountain , adorable Koi and Goldfish (easy clean up option hurrha! No more groping around trying to collect them up if you move it!) This comes in three varying tones of brickwork btw. Crisp water action is über realistic.

If you’re speedy you can get a whopping 50% discount on some of these items – until the 29th October.

A Simple Sunday.(Group Reminder).

I’ve had such a good and productive morning cleaning in RL I’m just about ready to get cracking in SL.  So I came inworld with the intention of doing nothing but sorting out our sim to a Spring setting but as always I got tempted.  Actually, it’s OK because it turned out to be perfect timing as the gift is this stunning tree one of many that are regularly sent out as a Group Gift from Hayabusa Designs and as always it’s a low primmed, menu-driven tree.

xxxhayuse

Yup, I’ve gone a bit into “God mode” at the moment and I’m playing with the sim wind light setting.  I’ve just noticed I must add “remove snow from my house” to my to-do list.

xxxhayuse2

Now I’m seeing the sim in this setting I’m not 100% sure about this setting either

Breath a sigh of relief as I am keeping this short n sweet.  The Gifts are sent out to you but not through the group, I think this is to stop people from being greedy and snagging copy after copy as it may come with a full menu but only non-copy.  So you won’t be able to join the group and take a copy from the group history but you might still get it sent out to you when you join or you might just have to wait for the next freebie to be sent out.

I’ve put the MP shop first as there is some bargains there plus you can see more of what Hayabusa has to offer but you must visit the inworld shop to see how amazing these landscaping plants are.

PS Be careful though as the more bargain priced items in the MP are sometimes the older more primmy stock or you only get a non-copy version.

Living Well

Ladder7Wow you take a few days off and the amount of notes, news and new stuff is overwhelming which is why I decided to Kiss it (Keep It Simple Stupid) for my first back to work post.  Since this stuff comes from a shop Faith LMed me I hope I’m not stepping on her Gos’s by telling you about these freebies but they’re just too damned good.  What you get from “WereClosed” is the ladder in dark and light options for a single prim and some great poses (not shown here though) and then all the art work behind me.  Whats becoming standard is the MEASLY prims because the art work comes in 3 lots, the ones on the wall a total of 1 prim and the 2 separate piles each a single prim. Both Faith and I have been tempted by the goodies in this shop and I know she is or has bought something and I too have caved into temptation but those items will be for a later post.

Peace in the crowd

Home & garden expo Shady picnic tree

As with all big events in Second Life, sometimes as you wander around you find some peaceful areas to rest-a-while. If you can’t find them there, grab up a few pretty things and plant them in your own garden…as I did with this “The Olde Shade Tree Picnic Set” by  Roawenwood. It’s rather spectacular, a ginormous tree with a large canopy of leaves to keep you protected from the sunrays…big gnarled roots that ferret away into the earth, surrounded by stones and delicate sprays of flowers. Hidden beneath the tree is a traditional picnic rug, with poses galore for singles & couples….it doesnt get much more perfect does it?!

Home & garden expo Glas homes Natane home 61 prims approx - Two Moons Gardens Cherry Blossom Place

I mentioned this  Natane home by Glas earlier. Here it is in the background. Go take a look at Sandi Glas’s work, the Natane was my favourite as it could be so versatile. Use it as a sky home, or on the ground, it’s very stylish and modern but also works with a setting as above. (61 prims approx) – Two Moons Gardens created this stunning “Cherry Blossom Place”. A winding pathway, bench stuffed full of poses and flowers & trees…everrrrrrywhere!

Home & Garden Expo - Forest Feast trees - various

If like me you’re always looking out for outrageously beautiful trees with barely any prim cost…look at forest feast . They have some amazingly detailed trees for as little as 2 prims per tree, lots of options on them such as glow, colours etc. I made some patches of colour with them around Zan and I’s home sim at Dreamworks, they make such a BIG difference.

The Home & Garden Expo web site for all url’s and info

Look at the web site and go to the tab at the top for ” Exhibitors”. You will find a drop down menu for all the stores at the Expo, listing which sim they are in.

PrimTastic

It swirls and turns over my home.

Snapshot_002This beauty comes from Artic Greenhouse which is a greenhouse packed with amazing works of floral art. From fat red roses to whispy babies breath, single stemmed flowers to pots packed with them.  Some items such as this ivy ball are highish in prims (25) but they’re awesome and worth it but fear not a good wander around here and there is plenty of items much lower in prim that can create a real focal point in your home.  The Abstract Ivy Ball is hanging from the ceiling and it only costs 45Ls!! In fact this is a more than reasonably priced shop.

TreeThe have a great selection of such low primed and reasonably priced trees that I couldn’t resist this Hawthorne I’ve taken this photo with my usual SL setting so you can see how good it looks but it looks even better inworld and if you use Windlight it’s awesome. Only 95Lds for 3 (Faith says 2prims)Prims even better.

There are 2 Portals for you to pop though and you must check out the Jungle skybox it’s outstandingly unique and beautiful.

per·snick·et·y

“Persnickety=Fussy about small details” is what one dictionary translates it as which as it happens suits this shop “Persnickity” completely because close up or from a distance these items look great.

Now I have a confession because I’ve had so much stuff from Persnickity in my invent just waiting to be blogged but I’ve not known where to start because basically for garden and home there is everything you need and it’s got everything I like such as attention to details, low prims and low price.  I’ve got everything from a Victorian love sofa, blender, plastic laundry basket that’s so realistic it’s a shock and the best ever sim stuffers.

To me “sim Stuffers” are those plants that have amazing depth to them even though they’re seriously low primmed. When trying to work out how to show you this I decided just to do a few close-ups so you can see the amazing texturing.

HasselA 2 primmed rose bush.  Close up and the next one is in full.

Hassel14Not only is it one of the best low primmed plants I’ve found but it’s only 35Lds! 2 Prims and copy! Lots of her items are copy but not all.  Hassel 8Vivid colours, great depth and so pretty.

Hassel 7All of these photos were taken with the same settings (nams) which is very similar to midday if you don’t use Windlight.

Snapshot_058Plenty of grasses, bushes, trees from the more realistic to the vivid. A thick wall climbing ivy for only 3 Prims.

Hassel6Bubble hearts so cute and still only a single prim.

Hassel11

I’ve not even started on the home furnishings but the lovely dressing table and chair are a prime example. Shabby Chicness galore.  Kitchen wares, beds, baskets, Cabbage rose textiles,  living room sets all with that Shabby Chic charmingness.

Tor Scifi Rezzable

Sorry last photo I promise but this is 2 of the 6 prim beech woods together and nestled in the middle is Faiths tent inc her washing line.  I also had a fiddle with Windlight but it was mainly to show how even if you have the smallest of plots or the biggest of sims you can use her excellent low primmed garden items to pack it out.  Every time I pop back here I find new stuff.  She has the best fat leaves Hosta plants out and now I’ve noticed in the back area she has a Rezzer so now if you need a home to place all your items in and in keeping the with Cottagy theme you can find it all here.

She has so much up on the Marketplace but make sure to pop inworld as well because you can hop on an egg and go for her Egg Hunt.  Hidden are 5 Big Fat Gold covered eggs with fun free stuff.
