Happy Birthday The Cookie Jar ! (Free items)

The Cookie Jar has a 10th Birthday event happening right now. You’ll find little stalls along the roads selling items, also a free gift plus a $10L item! As soon as I heard about this event I hurried over to Zinnia’s as the store is on The Cookie Jar – et voila ! The beautiful chair is the gift, it has male and female poses and the beautiful colour tones are just perfect for summer. I also nabbed the $10L rug from Zinnias as it just goes so well with the chair. All items shown are free, apart from the rug. (Dontcha just love the lil doggy with his sign “innocent bystander”??)

Uhoh did someone say Gacha? Yeah that makes me shoot over to the place and endlessly slot my $$ into machines – this was no exception as the machines were filled with awesomeness ! Its The Cookie Jar’s 9th Anniversary, and there is also a grid wide sale on oooOOoo ! If youre looking for some GREAT Seasonal shopping, a hunt and free gifts – get yourself over to The Cookie Jar! its got the lot – I will leave the landmarks below to each location and let you have the surprises. Above is the giving tree gift from HJM Designs – gawd I adore it, it plays a lovely Christmas song too, the snow flurries look realistic so you could hang this on a blank wall to get a real seasonal effect.

Of COURSE I had a few turns of the gacha machine for HJM Designs in the Christmas market durrr – I won exactly the scenes I wanted hurrrah !

Then I snapped up the free gift from HJM Designs at the market – and got this sweet little sleigh – it comes with a light switch for twinkling lights etc.

Im not entirely sure if I picked this up from the tree or at the market – but it was from LpOca, you get two o these dear little reindeer candles, the flame effect is especially lovely.

Sprung ! Free & 50% discount

Spring has definately sprung in Second Life – love this season , always lifts my spirits. Zan is busily transforming our home sim Dreamworks and its looks gorgeous so far. I headed over to The Cookie Jar’s Spring market and hunt yesterday. Gawd, so much to buy ! Some items are as little as $10L, look out for the Easter eggs too – they are the gifts ! The rabbit patch above is the gift by Tylers Treasures, it did come with a big orange sign above, but I detached it using edit mode and un link. You might prefer it with the sign though. The two butterfly flower beds are by Flying Arts – 50% discount during this round of The Creative Spark – I think I am right in saying they are $40L each , low prim and if you touch the butterflies their wings flap – beautiful !

I bought this from Magnus Opus at the Spring market for $10L – isn’t it adorable? Just 1Li too, perfect on the doorstep of a new home I am going to share with you another time.

This little board if perfect for the wall or ground – and is the gift from Simply Shelby. 1Li and super pretty. Have fun!

If you already are familiar with the Perfect ten event – you’ll know that there are some amazing savings to be made by buying there. Mhhmm 50% savings – I like those sort ! Going to share a few favourites from this round with you – setting off with Lunar Seasonal Designs. Lovely gazebo and patio furniture – really getting into the season and outdoor living.

I was astounded by the volume of personalisation you can do on the seating and the gazebo !

This couch would work inside and out – great poses, great choice of textures.

Next HJM Designs – they have this statue and attached planting. Depending on what Lighting I viewed this in – it was either pretty or frankly a bit scary ! The light and dark, shadows and setting can really make this what you want.

Last up is L&T (Lunar and Tyler collaboration) and I just totally fell in lurve with these floral chairs and table set ! They are set up at our cafe on the hill – if you care to pop over for refreshment. Gorgeous choices of fabric for the tablecloth and such pretty tones for the seat cushions – there is also a built-in rezzer for table decoration – low Li – what more could we want !

One of my favourite things about Spring – are Hyacinths. They smell beautiful, they look pretty and they come in SO many colours! I can’t resist them at all. When I saw this release from HJM Designs I knew I would find a place for it in my home! Check out the teeny little bee – touch him and his wings flap – so adorable. At just 4Li it wont break the prim bank either. If you buy this at the current round of Perfect 10 – its 50% discount – $50L ! Now can anyone tell me why my hyacinths all go bendy? They tend to flop about and I have to stabilise them with a short bit of bamboo pole – answers on a postcard please lol

Yes & No.(Freebies and Cheapies).

First the Freebie.  Sorry but branches for horns is just one of those things which aren’t my cup of tea but these are pretty decent and in the dark, those lit bits really light up and people do love them.  I picked them up from a shop that is new to me or should I say a “sim” as this home and garden shop is spread all over a whole sim so when I get some SLing time I’m going to have a nice wander around.

There is another GG out for us at the Love Home LM which are stars for you to scatter on your land or wall.

“The Cookie Jar” Christmas Market, where I picked up the wreath, is neat and tidy little event so if you’re short on time then it’s a nice little pop over and since all the freebies are on the table at the LM then it will take you even less time but I did have a wander around and spotted this super wreath for 50Lds which is just my cup of tea.

I actually haven’t had the time to open any of the Freebies so I have no idea of whats there but there is plenty of them to ensure you find some keepers. The wreath is on the DD (Dreamland Design stall) and I said it cost me only 50Lds and is 3 prims.  I actually love Hellebores and have them in my RL garden and as soon as I spotted this it was in the bag as we say.  What you can’t see is that it does come with a delicate sparkle but there is a copy of it on the stall so you can check it out for yourself.  My only grumble is that it’s non-mod because after Christmas I’d like to keep it up and it would look better without the bow.

PS.  GIVE BLOOD! Ok, I’m not after a pat on the back or anything because it was only a couple of years ago that I finally decided to man-up, or woman-up, and go give blood.  Yes, it’s 2 pricks (they prick your finger for a drop to test for iron first) and pricks hurt! BUT it’s nothing, it’s a couple of seconds of “ouchie” and especially at this time of year when people are busy doing stuff the blood banks run low.  AND at the moment in the UK, they’re so short of O & B Negative blood that if you have this blood type you can just walk in, you can do that in any case but it’s better to make an appointment, and they will DRAIN YOU as they’re desperately short.  So check out the nearest blood donation service to you and just go because one day it might just be YOU who needs that donation. PS They give you biccies and a drink afterwards so it’s not all bad.
