“Keep yer keks on”.

As of yet no freebie clothes or shoes to blog but in my search, I came across this stunning open beach/surf sim for us all to use.

All of my pictures have been taken just using the sim setting so even people with the most basic point and click photography skills can take a picture to be proud of.

As you can see they have used just the bestest(sic) decor items you can buy.  I do believe that there is a surfboard rezzing station OR you can join the Free Group but it makes it clear in the group that it’s just so you can rezz your own surfboard. I suspect that if you make sure you pick it up afterwards you could sneak out a pose ball just to make sure you can pull your best pose for your picture.

This is NOT a nudie beach! So keep yer keks on! “Keks” is slang for pants and of course tops for the ladies.  There were a few people on the sim and like all the good sims everyone was scattered about just enjoying the feeling of being somewhere we can’t be in RL.

I could have taken so many pictures but the ones I’m using are just a small example.

It looks like there is a club and maybe an active social calendar for Group Members.  I will be joining the group because although I am totally unsociable the rolling beaches and backdrops will make for some lovely summer piccies.

UPDATE: So I had another little flyover as I was LM grabbing and there is so much going on and I really want to find a bather/bikini so I can use the pool as a backdrop.

Virtual Tourist – Surf

Oh this is FUN ! I visited the Home Of Surfing In SL and the SLSA – Doesn’t look very much when you arrive – but surfing doesn’t need much to have a fine time ! There is a big welcome centre along the beach, and you can pick up a mesh pair of mens surf school shorts or a women’s bikini with t shirt – top quality items and plenty of fits included. I liked it so much I’ve stored it away for later.

Once you’re all geared up, wander to the water line and check out the board rezzers. There are a few dotted around but I fancied the look of this one and wasn’t disappointed. Hope onto the board and off you go !

Its quite simple once you have had a few goes, you automatically stand when you hit the wave , then you control your movements with the arrows keys – its exhilarating ! Sorry the photo didn’t catch me at a better moment but its tricky surfing and taking photos !

Surf camper – my Autumn abode

Bazar - Surf camper NEW!!

I saw this surf camper by Bazar and just knew I would buy it – I own an awful lot of items from Bazar, so I knew the quality, animations and execution would be brill. The camper itself is just so charming and for such a small space plenty has been packed in to play with . I knowwwww it was prolly meant for a beach setting, but the style police haven’t been round to arrest me since I set it up amongst my goats and chickens by the lake! I totally adore it, its my kinda place, lots of nooks and crannies but not head spinningly small.

Bazar - surf camper NEW!

I actually read the info note *faints* and learnt how to turn on experiences so that the props attach to me automatically without having to say “yes” to each one! Basically there are a few zones in and outside of the camper with animations. The bed (adult or PG versions available), dining table that has various eating and sitting poses, the toilet with male and female animations for doing your “business” – the shower, and the nifty kitchenette which has not only cooking & washing up but also some snuggles for couples .

Bazar - Californian surf camper

I bought the adult pack (which comes with a copy of the PG version tucked inside yay) If you get this pack you also get all the décor – I have to say I am pretty addicted to Bazar decor, SO low prim and SO well detailed , so it was a definite bonus to get it included. You can also buy the décor bits n bobs separately if you wish. All comes packed in a rez faux to make it super easy to set up, at 48Li it wont eat a massive hole in your prim budget either. It’s all set up to try out at the latest round of 6º Republic, go take a peek.

Look Away Faith!

I was checking out some old LMs for a place to take some pictures and I stumbled on this absolutely simple and yet stunning rental sim.

beach20

The sim  is called Baja Norte and it’s a blogger, moocher, beach lover, renters delight.  I haven’t rented a property here because for a small fee of 250Lds you can join the Baja Norte group and not only use the stunning decor items but also rezz your own props and poses if you feel the need to.   It would be good to join as the fee which is a one off helps towards this great sim but it’s not compulsory as you are free to use the facilities even if you’re not a group member.

Obviously it goes without saying if you do decide to join the group so you can rezz poses and props to watch the prims! and OMG clean up after yourself! Faith and I used to run a very successful and enjoyable rental sim but the cleaning up of other people’s prims was a pain in the bum.

Although there is more than enough places for people just to sit and chat and chill  and so you may never need or want to rezz anything.

Beach420

I had a mooch around the homes the note that is  sent out does ask you not to enter a rented property which goes without saying but there are some vacancies esp the ones on the top of the hill.  At 250 a week these are bargain prices homes and although you only get 50Prims you will just not need them at all.  The whole sim is your playground and all you need is a few prims for some personal items.

Now I’m not a 100% sure if all of the homes come furnished already I’m pretty sure this was one of the Vacant homes and this is the standard to expect, it’s all quality items.  I’ll be back and I’ll have a recheck.

All these photos were taken in the sims own Windlight setting which is subtle moody and beachy at the same time, you of course can use whatever setting you want.

As I said the reason I’m not going to rent a home here is because I’m going to join the Baja Norte group and  now since our own sim is very much Autumnal and grassy I  have somewhere to flash the flesh and surf. This is a busy sim with plenty of people wandering, sitting and probably mugging for the camera and yet it is so quiet and people are just having a relaxing and fun time.  I sat on a log with my new log and even though there was 2 male AVs near to me we just sat and did our own thing.  If I didn’t rent my own sim I’d move here  and I know fine well Faith would also in a heartbeat.

Must mention the brilliant person behind all of this because she won’t be making money from the rentals here as she’s asking for so little so basically she’s done this just for the joy of giving to people in SL.  Lauren Bentham is her name and her surname might be familiar to a lot of people because she’s the owner of Bentham Manor and more.  I can’t believe that high is the sky is a packed shop/forest/woodland/build of spooky and ethereal items to buy for your home although most things are set out in a themed setting ie a spooky woodland most of what you see is for sale but check out her Flickr link as a picture shows you much better than I can write.
