Lots of great steam punky style jewelry, clothes, shoes  n stuff all for 50Lds only, but make sure you check before you buy.  I  love this shop, Pixel Box, and I’ve got oodles of things from previous sales and treated myself to this little number, a skeleton AV dressed up in all her finery.

Please don’t let the idea of “steam punk” put you off as there is a whole shop of really interesting pieces.

Steampunk/Victoriana at it’s finest.   You will also see some shoe showing in the top picture this a classic design of Victorian walking out dresses, the raised hem stopped the skirts trailing along the foul paths and roads of olden times and if like me you have a sexy pair of Victorian boots a nice way to show them off.

There isn’t a Demo for this outfit because it’s a 30Ld Saturday offer, you do however get a choice of 3 colours, Rosemary Pink, Rosemary Creme and Rosemary Green which of course is the colour I’m wearing but they are separate purchases. This is definitely a keeper for me.

Mistique is another shop where you must slap the sub board because it’s Mahi Dreamscape send out regular notices about all the lovely items in the special events such as 30Ld Saturday, 35Ld Sunday, 60Ld Weekends etc and this is all shop quality stuff.  The whole shop itself is a mix of furniture, decor, clothes and I did notice when I scanned up to the higher floor even poses.

You may also notice that this is the Free Parasol Faith scored last week and as soon as I saw her post I went and grabbed it and as it turns out it teams beautifully with this whole look.  The Creators Collection Box is celebrating it’s first year in SL and we all know what that means..FREEBIES and lots of them.  So if you haven’t followed Faiths link and snagged all the gifts set out for us you’d better hurry as I have a feeling it will be over soon.

Dinner Dates (freebies)

Have to say I had a fun day in SL.  First I found a shop packed with super Kawaii cute outfits, make up, tattoo’s, shoes, GGs and even Lucky Chairs so I clicked away picked up some goodies and won a couple of freebies.   Even if you’re not interested in some new clothes pop over for the lippies because CottonCANDYmonsteR has packs of pouty lips, teeth showing lips etc so quite a variety to chose from.

As for my “dinner dates” these brill 1 prim Wrapped Corpses come from Walton F. Wainwrigh and his partner Alushiaus Wainwright shop ContraptioN.  You get a whole load of them in various form of rigor, lol, and also some different texturing.  Faith will remember that no matter how nice my home was there was always a stuff corpse under the floor boards or in the bushes waiting for the unsuspecting cammer I think it’s about time to restart this tradition.

Sadly as I’m sat here finishing off this post and grabbing the LM my initial hasn’t come up on the Lucky Boards here but don’t fret because apart from the Grizzly corpses there are other freebies.  Just for interest check out Walton F. Wainwright (faust.steamer) profile because everything here is heavily influence in the Steampunk style and in his profile he has a clear and very interesting description about Steam punk and all the other “punky” genre.

I really want to see Laurent83 Waco workspace/platform/room because it must be stuffed with ongoing projects that are hidden from us.  I was only just at Follow Us yesterday to check out if there are any new goodies set out for us and although there was a few things I really need to get blogged from there which I’ve been hiding away there  wasn’t anything new and then this morning out of the blue he sent me some goodies.

I shoved aside the post I was going to do because not only as soon as I saw this brill retro/Victorian/steam punk camera set I knew I could have fun with my pictures today but I also had to be quick because for ONLY 24 hours this is at a bargain price of 99Lds and only available on the Marketplace (I’m only  assuming that and it might be worth a visit in world to check it out).  Having said that and knowing the prices that Laurent usually charges is hardly exorbitant in any case so even if you miss out at this chance I’m sure at whatever full price it goes up to it’s still going to be massively affordable in any case.

The top photo was my Fluff shot the rest are so you get a better idea of how they look.  This is a pair on a shelf and the 2 hanging on the wall so basically 2 separate pieces.

This is the camera with the folded legs, only 4 prims in this one.

This is the largest item a real classic look.  If you look closely at this and the other cameras you can see the adition of small lights draped over them.  All 4 items are in the pack and for only 99Lds for 24 hours but don’t dispair because even if you can’t afford this you will see that he has some really excellent quality Dollarbies, 10Lds and oodles of stuff under 100Lds and nothing is stinted on the quality of these items.  His In world group is not not free to join but the 40Lds it cost is just a mere token because he has a whole wall of new and old Group Gifts from trays of food to a cooker etc.

Steaming.

I had this demo in my invent for a pretty long time but decided to unpack and throw it out but to my surprise I love it.  Comes from COCO Designs and although cocoro Lemon doesn’t do many items of male clothing what she does do is unique to her.

This is a “onsie” but not in the sense of the sleeping sort, this is a complete outfit only the hat and goggles are separates whats joined is the waist coat, shirt, tie, pants and boots are all in one.  Sorry I forgot to take a picture of the boots but you can just about see the top of them.  Big chunky work mens boots a mixture of  leather and steel toe caps.  A very Steam Punk look.  Comes with Demo and even a suggested shape but that shape was not unsimilar to my own so I’ve just used mine.

Group Gifts, lots of really great ones but sadly only for the girls.

Ballroom or Bordello?

Spent a little time looking through my notices and came across one for the Genre event which is new to me.  The premiss is ” Genre is a new monthly event that focuses on celebrating the different cultures within SL” and even better nothing is priced over 100Lds.

This is The Annex’s offering of a completely sumptuous mesh dress with a very Victorian/steam punk inspired look.  Red Damask is the name with rich draped blood red Damask over a satin black underskirt. The low-cut top allows a lot of cleavage and the straps on the arm flex really well.  The main body of the skirt is non rigged  which means it doesn’t flow as much as a unrigged mesh and in fact I saw the demo of this on someone else and my first thought was it’s a sculpted skirt but it’s not, that still didn’t put me off trying the demo for myself and especially since it’s on special off of only 100Lds I was so pleased with it happily snapped it up but definitely try the demo first.   It’s so regal and, going to say it again, sumptuous.  Almost forgot to say gloves and veiled hat are also included.

The hair is another offer from Curio Obscura at Genre .and it’s from one of my fav quirky shops in SL.  I chose the “Victorina Ladylike” style but the is another equally as stylised hair option.  A very stylish thick look, piled high with thick ringlets.  Certainly a unique look.

Then I turned off the light and walked “through the looking glass” and WOAH…..

You enter a wonderland.  A large ballroom stuffed with all the weird and wonderful things we love about Alice in Wonderland.   I’ve already missed last Saturdays  ball but there is another one this Saturday so I have made a note of the time and I’m hoping to get there myself.  This is a massive build over many sims (yes I’ve forgotten how many).  I frequent it and never get bored because behind every door is  a stunning room or display.  The heart of all the sims is The Red Rose Theatre  a palace that would equal Versailles in opulence.  Open to all, you don’t have to be dressed up to the nines but this is a place to put on your full length gowns or best suit and tie and just go OTT.  Even if you’re not into dressing up you’re still more than welcome.  This isn’t a “naughty” place and you won’t find certain pose balls but what you will find it many areas to just sit and relax from the formal to the casual, pools and stables and plenty of gardens to wander.

A nice touch is that most of the furnishings are for sale but instead of having to TP to the shop you can just click and buy the item as it’s placed out in the palace AND WOW I’ve just seen in their blog that they now have whole suites for rent as soon as I rezz inworld I’m off for a mooch around for myself.

“Don’t worry, it was already dead when I found it!”

The bird I am nomming on comes with an AO and loads of bloody mess layers.  Look closely and you can see how well detailed the bird is from it’s twig like legs to the feathers fluttering down.  But the “don’t worry it was already dead” message it sends out will reassure people that you didn’t kill it.  Maggot Meatball (Elsa Liebknecht)has inc a simple instruction to change the script so you can stop the message or change it.  What I enjoy most in SL is shopping in posh busy shops wearing my “unusual”  AVs like my granny one or my sobbing bride and I have to admit my drunken staggering AO can be most annoying so I enjoy that.  So pay  15Lds grab the gifties and the Bird (another 15Lds, look up high on the wall) and  go out and annoy.

Not that everything in this shop is so gruesome there are plenty of  sweet corseted outfits,  doll like clothes, bloodies clothes, hairs, clothes, mesh, non mesh, items are to be had.  In fact it was an old pack of Vintage Circus Hosiery that I was going to show you I got sidelined by the maggoty shorts (50Lds).  Mesh and if you look closely those are not buttons but holes with what appear to be maggots peeking out.  Lurvely.
