Dining like a Hipster

Oh yeah! Its Springgggg Time and I’m already thinking about eating outside – this set will go inside or out though.

Ok few things in Second Life delight me anymore, like…really delight me – but this “Hipsters Like to Eat” set from Lunar Seasonal Designs HAS – The fabric textures, whilst being bang on for “Hipsters” (wth are hipsters?!) totally grabbed me – am I a Hipster? Dunno – must be ! So anywayyyy…

Sooo the table has different tones of wood, as do the chair legs, there are meals and courses and really cool animations for sitting, carving, relaxing etc etc..and of course – there are those “Hipster’ish” fabrics for the runner and chairs. You can choose how many chairs you want out it’s not hard linked and naturally the Li count rises temporarily when you get various meals onto the table – then obviously lowers when you clear up – love that. Zan and I usually drop each other a notecard to say what we are going to blog and basically to issue a “paws off” to one another – howeverrrr I really do love The Wash event, it’s a great chance to cop a few bargains and every day essentials – oh and some FUN bit and pieces. So despite her telling me to back away I sneaked off to The Wash and grabbed a few items! I’ve known of Anachron for a while but never knew they had opened a big store – et voila, I snagged one colour version of their dress for just $10L, it’s just delightful and dainty and a brilliant fit to boot. I also bought the shoes from Sage, just adore the style, so useful plusss I bought an add on Hud for florals – had to be done right? The Huds are massive, seriously. Popped over to the Anachron main store and w-o-w, sooooo much to buy! I trolled the gacha machines for bags and nifty items at just $29L a pop it would’ve been rude not too. Found a trailer load of group gifts too! Group is free to join and there are loads of items, the table and mats set up was just one of them.

Started looking for Easter stuff and found this bike, complete with bunnies in the basket from EFM poses, only $60L . My Easter archway is by Lunar Seasonal designs and is one of the offerings at the newest round of Perfect Ten – more from that later this week I promise! The archway is so easily to personalise, from the eggies to the leaves there is a mahoosive menu to select your favourite springtime tones.

Time for brunch

Aphrodite has a lovely set out just in time to catch this glorious weather – “Spring Brunch”. The whole set is stunning but so are all the little bits and bobs that make it up. Use it as is, or if prims don’t allow , break it up and use portions !

I set the whole thing up by my pool, its beautiful if you’ve got space to lay it out like this. Your guests can mingle and pick at the delicious food treats. There is a savoury table and a sweet, cakes, biscuits and little pots of spring time flowers. If they’d like a cooling glass of lemonade its right there, or perhaps a cup of tea? The potted plants have butterflies tumbling around them and a handy parasol is also included to keep you all cool.

Spring Festival (Hunt & Cart sale)

Ahhhh Spring has sprung and little treats abound for you at The Cookie Jar. I didn’t really have too much time to do the hunt, BUT I knew if I were lucky enough to find the one from Finishing Touches Id be a happy girly. Thankfully I did (phew pressure pressure) and the gorgeous little trolley above was my reward. It’s so sweet and sits happily in my SL garden right now. Not only good lookin but it has poses too – for fiddling about gardening and one relaxing, nice touch ! Uhm well…onto the chickens – so I was wandering about looking for Finishing Touches (my internal navigation is always SO bad) and I stumble bumbled across Zinnias store. Saw these darlin chickens and HAD to have them ! Only 60L a pop (choice of colours) and just 1 prim, whats not to love huh?. Participating stores have a hunt prize for you to find plus a cart outside with some brilliant bargains all under 100L – if you’ve got some time it’s really worth the trip.
