Not too Shabby.(Freebies).

I don’t often go to the Shabby Chic event for a few reasons, lag and temptation being the main ones but this time I managed to sneak in and found a freebie.

This is on the Ayla stall and this empty version is free but if you want to accessories is then you will see lots of Kitchenalia for sale on the stall.  BTW it’s not tiny it’s just above a rather big sink.

I didn’t find any other freebies at the Shabby Shiney event but it was starting to get busy and I was starting to lag so I TPed over to the Ayla shop just in case there was more goodies and YUP there is.

FREEBIES, the basket with the clear bottle, the little stack of bowls and the small group of baubles are the free group gifts.

This is a new decor shop to me and their range is limited as yet and yes and I will say it that some items do come with a big price tag, not everything though, but it’s stunning stuff and if you love Kitchenalia and creating a realistic home in SL this is the place to treat yourself to something.

Sorry, I don’t have the lm to the Shiney Shabby event, that’s where you will find the top gift, but I’m sure there will be plenty of inworld notices with the link.

Shiny Shabby Event (Now you do have it !)

The Dream.(Freebie & a Mina).

Just a fun summery piccie here because in RL I’m freezing my T*Ts off.

First, the freebie and again reg readers will know by now if it’s sporty clothing I snag it.  I don’t know how many sets of shorts n tops I have but I don’t care so there.  This freebie and there was at least 2 other, this is the one I preferred, are to be found at the Bliss shop.  The Bliss group is VIP but still free and so are the other 2 groups you have to join to get the other  2 free outfits.  Going by memory lots of sizes and with the 2 outfits, I opened both came with Huds and in this case I decided I rather liked the shorts not matching the top but you can choose your own preference.

It was the hair that got me back in-world because as soon as I saw a picture of it I just had to have it even though my SLing time was up.

This hair is extremely reminiscent of a very recent hair but Mina has given it that windswept look to it.  As someone who is trying to get a bit of movement or life into her pictures I love clothes and hair which have that extra bit of folding or suggestion of movement to them but even though this hair has all that it’s still totally wearable as just normal mooching around in SL hair.

The hair comes from the Shiny Shabby event and I have to be honest it’s not the best place for freebies but then again it’s been so long since I was last there you never know and since it’s on till the 15th it should have calmed down so I might just amble on over there.

Gocha Merlin, the owner of !gO not only has a damned fine and unique clothing range, it’s where I often chose to spend my Lindens, the group gifts are monthly and there is often also a new outfit with a colour which has been reduced for just the group members it along with Sn@tch are the 2 groups I have been a member of for an SL lifetime.  What Gocha Merlin also has is one of the BEST advent calenders going in SL and because this is a clothes shop it means CLOTHES in the unique !gO style.  Because as with most calendars only 1 box a day is opened but sadly for those who can’t get in-world once the day is over you can’t get it anymore.  So you really need to try to pop over every day to make sure you don’t miss out.

PS. Now I can’t remember if it’s now gone from a 24 day Calendar to a 12 day one but it does no harm to join now, go grab the GG and get yourself ready for the rampaging horde.

The Girl Did Good, (A mix of Free ‘n’ Non Free)

I have NO idea of how Faith managed to squeeze even her extra skinny AV ass into the Shabby Chic event!  If like me you’ve tried, tried and tried again it’s time to give up and let it calm the Eff down! However when you do get in there check out the New Mina hair called Aimee.

You may have actually spotted that I wore this hair in my previous post as well.  I really should have put on one of the many other shade options you can choose from but I forgot which is a shame because although I have a tendency to stick to the browns, Mina hair comes in not just everything from blonde to dark brown but a lot of hairs come with amazing whites and blacks and the Ombres! and of course as I always say Mina does the best Gingers in SL LOL.

And YES Mina has a gift set out for us@Shiny Shabby, it is this hair but in a never to be repeated shade and I’ve seen it and I’m not going to show you it so you can have a surprise.  As always I’ve put the link to Mina’s mainshop because you can not only TP straight from there to the many events her hairs are at this moment but even better try the demo on at your ease and not in a crushed laggy sim.

If you read my last post I mention about the brill shoes which I thought for only 50Lds, SLink High Hooves needed, was not only a bargain but very unusual and stylish and here they are.

Folder over satin/leather? petals.  As soon as I spotted them I knew I needed them.  But remember these shoes are to be found in the market area just outside of PurpleMoon.  In my last post I showed you some of the exc Hunt items to be found at this little pretty hunt but sadly I’ve still not found the other hunt items and then of course as soon as I snagged these 50Lds off the PurpleMoon stall at this event I TPed home.

But again as I say save the “Lindens to spend the Lindens” and this is a repost about the suit I am wearing.

Loved this suit so much I actually paid the FULL price for it LOL.  This suit is why I was pleased the mini “Cherries on Top Hunt” wasn’t inside the main shop as PurpleMoon has some real quality clothing items to tempt even a meanie like me to part with their Lindens.  I bought this suit quite a while ago and I can’t remember the price but whatever it was it was worth it so once you’ve checked out the Hunt outside I DARE you to go inside and resist!

Last but not least a little Freebie for your home, I quickly scanned a note I received from La Galleria and then hauled ass.

Looks a bit like an oversized choccie to me but then again I am on a permanent diet and everything looks edible to me.  You have to hunt this freebie down in a way but the note I received made it quite clear where to find it.  Just walk into the Sedona House and check out the bathroom and I only noticed this when I went back to LM grab that if you check out the shelf above the bath there is an ornate egg on a stand as a gift for us.  Just click and pay 0Ld for each item.

I have to say that although these large almost brash houses aren’t to my taste I had to admire the quality and spaciousness of these homes.  Big homes for BIG personalities and I really enjoyed mooching around the many designs of homes on these sims, every time I walked out of a house thinking it’s time to get back to note clearing another home would tempt me and in the end sometimes it’s just nice to wander and yes even day dream a bit.

Finally I get to get to the Shiny Shabby event and even better I found the Freebies this time.

OK firstly the non Freebie but even better a new hair from Mina.  Because this is a paid for item I’ve taken the picture in my Nams setting with no photo editing.  Obviously there are Demos out there for you to try for yourself, and I always recommend that you do.  Very Hippy Chick Chic, called Jacky which again I believe was a popular name in the 60-70ties.  The hair as standard comes with a colour changing Hud and you have a choice of the hair band colours.  At this event it’s not at a discounted price but again at 250Lds it’s hardly over priced. I also put on the second Free top from HPMD so you can see this one is a more natural SL light.  Check out the details for that in my previous post.

But never fear the Freebies are here.

It’s the sofa only the rest are rummaged out of my invent.  Sadly the sofa at 25prims is pretty high but check out the texturing.

So realistic and if you’re into a real shabby, cottagy, Grandparent look then this is perfect.  A room filling big piece of furniture but you still don’t look like a little doll when you’re sat on it.

For those with a little less space check out the Freebie from Zerkalo, a simple wow here.  An oversized Fishing Reel type basket with great detailing and texturing.  Sorry forgot the prim count but I’m pretty sure it was about 3prims and at that count anyone can squeeze this in their home.  I picked this gift up from the Zerkalo shop@Shiny Shabby but when I went back to LM the shop I couldn’t find it but that didn’t stop me as I TPed to their mainshop which is still being set up, that NEVER stops me from snooping and not only do they have the basket set out as a Group Gift but also this great sofa/seat set.

WOW what a find.

If I’m not mistaken this was a gift from Zerkalo at the last Shiny Shabby event, and it’s the one I missed, so I’m really pleased to have found it again but I do believe the only difference is that this gift actually comes with a choice of colours. Leather, old, muted and low primmed.  So if you too can’t find the Zerkalo shop @Shiny Shabby then don’t fear pop to their mainshop, join the Free group, and snag these excellent pieces of furniture and the basket.
