Oh! An event I am really keen to attend is The Madpea International food fair. From February the 18th till March the 4th MadPea is hosting this new one-off event to raise funds for the Feed a Smile charity that helps impoverished children in the Rhonda Slums of Nakuru, Kenya. The event will have exclusive items, gachas and everything in between with all designers giving 50% of their earnings to “Feed a Smile.” Everything will be FOOD THEMED! There will also be amazing live events daily! Chez Moi have this sweet farmers cart up for grabs, three colour choices, the one I’m sharing is the coloured and comes with a menu to change wood tone. Lovely animated poses included, so it’s not a static pose but you move naturally – cute!

EB Awareness Event – yup I’m late to the party

 

 

 

The EB awareness fund-raiser event has begun in Second Life ! I blogged about this event last year and quite a bit of cash was raised for Debra of America, so naturally I’m supporting it this year and hoping you will too. EB is Epidermolysis Bullosa is a rare disease that affects 1 in 50,000 children born throughout the world as a result of a genetic disorder. It varies in severity among its sufferers. It is characterized by a defect between the anchoring of the skin between the epidermis (top layer of skin) and the dermis (second layer). People who suffer from EB suffer from skin fragility, blistering and constant pain. Heres their website if you’d like to learn more Debra of America. Sooo onto the goodies, I’m showing you this fabbo sweater from DaneMarkZ, it comes in a range of colours, this is blush – it’s a very delicate wash of pink. Lovely flared cuffs and a sooper knitted effect. My hair is also new , from Magika and called Beans, you get the option of wearing it with or without the bow, and the bow has a colour change HUD – this is on sale at the main Magika store not at the EB event btw.

Also by DMZ is this range of necklaces, something for everyone I think, my personal fav is the Tears of joy design in the larger photo, very classy and perfect for the season – all come in a range of colours.

 

I also want to share this rather unusual dress from Ashanti. Great giraffe print and ribbed detail on the waist and neckline. Apologies for the breakthrough at the waist, my pose made it poke through ! Get yourself down to the event and spend some pennies, it’s a worthy cause to support and get behind.

Epidermolysis Bullosa – The worst disease you’ve never heard of

A new shopping experience with live show’s begins today, the EB awareness Event. EB stands for “Epidermolysis Bullosa”. Never heard of it? Me either, until now.

“It is a rare genetic disease characterized by the presence of extremely fragile skin and recurrent blister formation, resulting from minor mechanical friction or trauma. This condition is not contagious. An estimated 1 out of every 20,000 live births are affected with some type of EB. The disorder occurs in every racial and ethnic group throughout the world and affects both sexes equally”. There is no cure for this at the moment.”

As you can see from the schedule above, there’s plenty to do and see. I’ve wandered the site and it’s crammed with fashion, homewares, jewellery, skins, hair and more! My T-shirt is on sale and is unisex, it’s just 100L, and is a donation item, you can grab the bracelet support band for free.

I nabbed a couple of items to share with you, frankly I couldn’t resist , help a cause and look pretty ! This dress is by Womanity, its only 39L *faint*, lovely spring print all over and super tight to show off your curves. This is the “Lite” version but you can also get the full version that has a HUD for ooodles of patterns.

Womanity also have a gift out for you (thank you!) and its called “May”, a pencil skirt dress, beautifully done and a great fit. My purse is from Fabuleux, gacha addict that Iam .

Quite a few pose makers are there and Something New very kindly let me get my paws on a some coupley  ones to share with you. This is “expecting”, I had to dust off my pregnancy shape , Player had no issue with being naked (naturally ) It’s so lovely, that protective arm and gentle hand reaching for the “bump”.

We also rather liked this one “My Girl” and decided to take a walk along the beach to find a spot to use it. Nice and casual, yet ever so sweet. My dress is from d.l.s (dirty little secret) It’s on sale at the event also. Love how it falls in ripples down the front and curves upwards to show off a little leg. I’ve got heaps more to share with you over the next few days, might see you at a few of the live shows too ?! While you’re there give a thought to Burdeyna Islands, who are the Events sponsor, they donated the land, without that nothing could really happen , so “thank you” ❤
