Pale in Comparison

Faith has already told you guys about the Culture Shock event so I’ll not repeat what she said except to say what a great idea it is and that the cause is extremely worthwhile. There is a huge amount of stores and the place is always buzzing with people.

I’ve been lucky enough to be sent Akeruka’s Culture Shock exclusive skin, Antonio, to show you guys. As you’d expect, this skin looks as good as any you’d normally see from Akeruka with their trademark attention to detail well on show. Antonio is quite pale, obviously a little shy of the sun, but we can’t hold that against this skin because the tone of this skin seems to bring out those details I was just talking about even more. I really like the shape of the eyes and the face as a whole is very good-looking.

Antonio can be picked up for L$1800 and 50% of this will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières so it’s definitely money worth spent as you not only get to look good, you get to help a worthwhile cause. Head on down and check it out before it ends on the 26th of May. Thanks Kaoz!

A Sacred Reward

You guys should know by now how much I love my skin from Sacred since I’m rarely seen without it. Now there is yet another reason to take a good long, leisurely shop around the store because Wavie Haller has installed a customer rewards script.

The way it works is that if you shop in the store for ten minutes the script will give you one of a range of fantastic gifts (it’s set up to give out one gift per person a day). I was lucky enough to score this James skin. It is part of the ‘a touch of grey’ series and has an awesome more mature look to it. The body hair is great and most certainly adds to that mature look I was talking about (you can just tell it’s been growing for some time). In this gift you get two versions: one with a hairbase and one without.

This is a fantastic concept. Who knows what gift you’ll come up with, which adds to the fun of it all. With their brilliant skins, shapes and facial hairs there is plenty to keep you occupied for ten minutes easy.

If You Build It

When the first day of a brand new month falls on a Monday, you know you’re going to have a good day picking up cool gear, especially at SF Design. Swaffette Firefly has got her usual Monday Mania awesomeness plus her monthly gift which also happens to be a brand new release! Whoever said Mondays were horrible?

Speaking of the new release/monthly gift, it is this super sweet baseball jacket. When swaffette told me it was a prim jacket, I have to admit I balked a little because I’ve never been a big fan of clothes that are almost entirely prim. I tried them on however and proceeded to kick my doubt right out the door. These jackets are brilliant.

As you can see, even at full, home run swinging stretch, the dual prims that make up the arms of these jackets look perfect and that is with no editing what so ever, they just fit. They come with an alpha layer for your arms which helps a lot with that but they are just really well constructed. The colours are gorgeous as well: blue (which is this month’s free gift), black, maroon and my personal favourite – green.

Each sculpted prim comes in a scripted resizing version and one without the script but really, there’s hardly any editing required on these at all. They are the perfect casual jacket and at only L$200 for the non-free colours, you should definitely add a couple to your collection, you’ll love them.

Of course I can’t leave without showing you today’s Monday Mania from SF Design which is the gorgeous Virginian vest in blue.

I remember picking up a Virginian vest and shirt combo in a hunt a while back and really liking the vest for its beautiful pattern and the lapels/collar attachment which I hadn’t seen on a vest before. Later on down the track and nothing’s changed except that I like this colour more. As always, the collar fits really easily and there is a resizer scripted version in there as well. The vest itself comes on multiple layers so you won’t be stuck for wearing options with this. It really is gorgeous and for L$25 you can’t go wrong.

Just remember that to get it at this price you have to grab it from the Monday Mania board located just inside the men’s casual section of SF Design (those fantastic jackets you’ll find just across the aisle).

I’m Going Grey

Sometimes you just get lucky. I was standing in the studio, taking a breather after my last post when a group gift from Sacred Skins fell on me like a gift from Above because you should know by now how much I love my Sacred skin (since I’m almost always wearing it!)

The gift is this awesome skin which is a preview of their 2nd in the Touch of Grey line. As you can see this is a more mature look with the grey hairbase and beard, it’s sensational. I hope that I look that good once the grey starts coming in (won’t be long now, I’m sure). Generous body and arm hair and a super physique, this is such a well made skin, hard to believe that it is a group gift.

The Sacred Skins group will cost you L$100 to join but it’s more than worth it, so head on down there and sign up and take a look around while you’re there as there is much more awesomeness to behold.

Gremlins

Since I had some time tonight, I was looking through my inventory, visiting stores that I hadn’t been to in a fair while and came across Ninikoboy. While I was there I saw that they had a little ‘freebie corner’ so naturally I picked up a couple to show you.

First one is the Gremlins t-shirt. You get a white one and a yellow one of these and they are awesome. More and more I’m liking my shirts with a bottom prim attachment, I just like the realistic look they give. You also get sleeves with these and they all fit very, very well. The Gremlins shirt, as you can see, has a little picture of said gremlin on the front and the ever-important gremlin ‘rules’ written on the back. I think I’m going to have to see if I can find the movie now that I’ve got this shirt, I haven’t watched it in years.

The other shirt I picked up whilst there is the mTan-T. I’m showing it in black here but you also get it in white, grey and red as well all in the same pack. As with the gremlins shirt, this comes on multiple layers and features the bottom and sleeve attachments which blend in so well with the rest of the shirt that you can barely notice you’re wearing them. They are most definitely coolness.

Ninikoboy is definitely worth a visit, some great looking clothes and freebies to pick up! Go and check it out.

Ashton

It’s always exciting when Belleza put out a new group gift because you just know it’s going to be brilliant. This time it’s a pre-release preview of their new Ashton skin that you can grab hold of if you join up.

This is definitely a very masculine skin with strong features, great-looking face and a stylin’ little chin strap beard. The torso is what gets me with this skin though, I love the details around the chest and especially the abs, they absolutely rock, not overdone but perfectly defined.

The Ashton group gift comes in five different skin tones (I went with the sunkissed tone for this pic) and each comes with four different versions for hairbases and chest hair. You won’t be left wanting with this gift, that’s for sure.

The Belleza group does have a L$250 join fee but that’s a lot less that you’d pay for a skin and it’s a very handy group to be a part of as they always do awesome gifts and you can keep up to date with the latest releases.
