Missed it.

This is the outfit that swaffette Firefly had put out for the Mens Wear Fashion Week which I completely missed but now since it’s available at her large main shop (check out the NEW Board) it’s a good excuse to blog it.  As it happens I’ve combined 2 of her outfits to make 1.  The bowling shirt is a separate item from the jeans I just thought the rolled up retro jeans inc in the NY suit set also suited this top perfectly.

Decided to try to find a better background for the suit I also had and checked out  many restaurants locations and as soon as I saw The Mill I knew it was perfect.

This suit comes in 2 shades blue and black and is called NY city jeans set.  I used the charcoal coloured jeans with the bowling shirt in the first picture and in this second one I’m wearing the full Indigo  blue suit.   I actually prefer the jacket without the shirt and since you get all the layers that means you can chose to wear the jacket alone or with the shirt and not forgetting that those rolled up jeans are a great look on their own so basically a couple of looks in the one package. Demos are available and I would definitely try them both suits out out because you maybe surprised by the blue one, again at first I wasn’t too sure but the colour has grown on me and I actually really like the colour it makes you stand out just a bit more but not too OTT.

Inside of The Mill is a selection of seating from a table for 2 to this longer banquet style one, upstairs a couple of more private dining tables and a comfy living room seating area.

 

There is a Group to join if you want to be kept updated.  A really lovely relaxing place to hang out and just relax.

I must say not long ago there was quite a heated debate going on in one of the Groups I am a member of about mesh and non mesh clothes and it still surprises many people that there is still those who do not want to wear mesh for whatever reasons.  swaffette Firefly main stock is still non mesh and although she is making headway into the world of mesh if you want non mesh clothes then this is the shop that has it all, from underpants to wedding suits, shorts to jumpers, coats to hats this is the place.  There is also a monthly Group Gift set out and this month it’s a pair of shoes.

Good new and even better news, cocoro Lemon is having a massive clear out in her shop, Coco Designs, in preparation for starting the New Year as a shop that sells mesh only.  So the good news is that she’s reduced the price of all her Sculpted items to ZERO (the even better news is I can hardly wait to see what new stock she comes up with).

So in a rush I pulled a few poses and snapped away because I would hate for anyone to miss this golden opportunity to restock their whole wardrobe for nothing for example the coat, jeans and boots are all free from Coco (the hair is a lovely new Mina hair with gorgeous Ombre shading but since I can’t do it justice at the moment I’ll do that later).  In her Sculpted section she has everything from pretty feminine dresses, coats, tops, shirts, jeans, boots which are uni sexed.

I unashamedly grabbed ALL of the strappy heels which although I can’t remember how much I paid for the pair I already had I know they weren’t cheapos.  I also grabbed all the petal hats but resisted the belts and bags because honestly by this time I was clicked out.  I’ve also sent Baylen the LM because those boots are definitely uni sexed and there are mens shoes and I’m pretty sure the jeans are also uni sexed so even the man in your life can splash out and stock up on the goodies.

Again the coat, jeans and boots all free.  This maybe Sculpted and yes it does have it’s flaws such as when you sit down or try to pose but this is the best of the best in sculpties in SL.  The blending is second to none the texturing top class and good enough even for mesh heads to love.

OK going to be lazy here but I just don’t know when this sale is going to be over and of course with Christmas fast approaching people’s time in SL maybe limited so thats my excuse for posting the links to some previously blogged items.

3 posts about the same shop! Sorry but if I haven’t convinced you to pay a visit by now I give in.  What happened was I “hopped” over to pick up the Rabbit AV and to check out properly the discount section, now that SL seems to be working a bit better for me, only to find that a number of outfits that I already own are now in the discount section.

Nearly everything in the discount section is Sculpted or non mesh but as you can see the texturing and blending is excellent.  Now this comes with the “mutton” sleeves which I don’t like but if I remember they are editable so you can leave them as they are if you like that style, shrink them on in my case get rid of them.  A lovely knitted jumper with a frilled shirt underneath. I’m not wearing a skirt that is how long the undershirt goes.  I’ve had this particular colour for yonks and I will be keeping it as apart from the fact it’s Sculpted and therefore doesn’t flow with your AV this is a great looking jumper and now it’s reduced to only 50Lds! It’s so good that next time I visit I’m picking up more colours.

Rude jeans.  They’re called Lose Style in Denim and they are sheer cheekiness. The sculpted belt is yet again almost seamlessly blended into the jeans (non mesh) the zip is unzipped alllllllll the way so panties/thong are a must unless you are an exhibitionist. Find them in the discounted section for only 50Lds now.  Sculpted bottom half to the jeans but they are an option so if you want to wear boots then they work so well.

I’ve mentioned the great group gifts and of course the irresistible Bunny AV and the fresh new designs but I forgot to mention that Cocoro Lemon is big into Mesh and also a more than reasonable amount of mens wear even in the discount section so boys and mesh heads are more than catered for.

Have you ever?

A lot of people might not know it but Faith and PD had an in world and MP store which ran successfully for many many years.  Sadly over the past year or so this was pushed to the back burner but now the Creative Bug has bitten Faith on the ass and once again she is stood on her platform, rezzing, texturing, shaping and basically making a mess but out of this will come some seriously Super Kawaii items.  Then on my SL meanderings I came across this lovely new shopping area and what I was wondering is have YOU ever thought of setting up a shop or maybe starting small with a little stall. Lots of shops offer excellent Sculpties Full Perm Packs.  If your more Teccie minded then you may even want to try some Mesh.

We all know that sinking feeling when a shop rezzes and we can see instantly from the design of the shop and where it is that it’s going to contain TAT, not even cheap tat just tatty tat but on the other hand when we find a shopping area as lovely, well planned and landscaped like this then we know it is going to attract equally as good quality shops the  area and in fact it was the shop Olive which I came over to check out and that is most definitely a shop that doesn’t sell Tat.  So new that Rose Olive Doe (owner of Olive) hasn’t completely set up for business yet but I can see that this place will be filled soon with stalls and shops stuff with great stuff.

So pop over check out the prices and prim allowance for the stalls and shops which are still available and you never know just like Marks & Spencer’s a small stall today a massive conglomerate.

It swirls and turns over my home.

This beauty comes from Artic Greenhouse which is a greenhouse packed with amazing works of floral art. From fat red roses to whispy babies breath, single stemmed flowers to pots packed with them.  Some items such as this ivy ball are highish in prims (25) but they’re awesome and worth it but fear not a good wander around here and there is plenty of items much lower in prim that can create a real focal point in your home.  The Abstract Ivy Ball is hanging from the ceiling and it only costs 45Ls!! In fact this is a more than reasonably priced shop.

The have a great selection of such low primed and reasonably priced trees that I couldn’t resist this Hawthorne I’ve taken this photo with my usual SL setting so you can see how good it looks but it looks even better inworld and if you use Windlight it’s awesome. Only 95Lds for 3 (Faith says 2prims)Prims even better.

There are 2 Portals for you to pop though and you must check out the Jungle skybox it’s outstandingly unique and beautiful.

Pink, Blue and Green

Look past the blue hair and down to the sweet little pink frilliness (the green is the plants).  I got a notice about Jack Spoon reopening and so of course I had to TP over to see what newness there was to snag up, sadly no freeness but with very reasonably priced items who cares.  This lovely simple pink polkadot bather is make extra special with a ruffle sculptie peplum around the waist to make it stand out from the rest although the bather alone is sweet enough.  Comes in 3 colours, pink, blue and and priced at 75lds each very affordable cuteness in fact checking out the prices in the shop most things are very reasonably priced and you could put together some really lovely outfits for a small outlay.  The starfish headbands were sent to me as a gift although you can also buy them in the shop.

Now look at the skin and how much do you think that cost me? a massive…10lds….yes I know that is a seriously cheap price but then this is a seriously good and cheap Marketplace shop.  I’ve blogged their amazingly good shoes and since you have a choice of 170 items priced at 10lds inc this skin Evana which come not only in 1 shade but 5 shades with 10 different make ups and a shape.  Great lashes, brows and lips etc you can pay a heck of a lot more for a heck of a lot less.

It sure can…specially if you have this work station ..I couldn’t believe how low prim all this set was, so detailed with fabulous texturing. I thought we deserved an uber cool place to pontificate on all those major fashion decisions *winks*. The kopenhagen table is 95L and just 3 prims, sort of scrubbed wood effect on the top that I adore. The co ordinating kopenhagen stools come in a beautiful peachy shade and are packed with *working/thinking* type animations,3 prims and only 125L. I also nabbed the computers,mouse & doughnuts on a plate whilst I was there (woot a steal at 30L) The desktop and keyboard are actually all one item and at 3 prims it wont break the prim bank we all worry about so often, reasonably priced at only 65L (and copiable yay!) The mouse is a perfect replica and was a mere 15L and 1 prim.

I loved that you can alter the screen shot for one of your own photos, havent got around to it yet though…far too busy playing with it!
