You’re on the Bottom

I can be such a slowpoke when it comes to hunts. I missed the kickoff to the MHO7 Hunt by a few days, fortunately for me it’s a month-long extravaganza because I would have kicked myself for missing out. There are a brilliant array of designers giving out some awesome gifts and I’ve got a few to show you tonight. Funnily enough, except for the skin, they are all items for your bottom half!

Speaking of the skin, it’s from Akeruka, a name you guys should know well if you’ve been here before. It’s called Nando and it comes in this full tan tone along with the facial hair. It’s most definitely a very masculine skin with the usual super well-done details that you always get from an Akeruka skin.

The boardshorts you can also see above are from Redgrave who are always a must-visit for me when they’re involved in a hunt. Oh so summery, these shorts have a gorgeous look and I love the colours – the blue and brown go very well together here. They are mesh so you will need a mesh-enabled viewer to see them.

The next item I found was from a store I’d never visited before: Ink No.8 Meshfactory. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, just that it would be mesh and that was enough to get me lookin’. Eventually I found their gift and saw that I’d scored these awesome Dungarees. I can honestly say that I don’t have anything in my inventory like this, mesh or otherwise. The texturing is absolutely fantastic and they have a real funky look to them that I like a lot. With these dungarees you get two alpha layers and two sizes of the mesh to choose from so you should have no problem getting these to fit.  With these I wore my hunt gift from Sartoria: the Travellers Sneakers which are some very cool footwear indeed, I love the pattern on the uppers of these.

Now, if you want to talk about footwear, Muism has you covered. It has been one of my favourite stores for as long as I can remember and it’s no surprise when you see their hunt gift the ‘Troy’ boots. These boots are simply stunning. The leather texture is gorgeous and the details are superb. Check out the shadowing around the so good straps and the little ‘M’ logo up the top, amazing. The boots also come with a script that allows you to resize them as well as change the texture of the strapping on the boots. There are a whole different range of colour choices, you can even add a little sculpted sock to stick out of the top of the boots if you wish, but I liked it better without.

This hunt will go until the 15th of July so you have plenty of time to hunt down these and more of the fab items that are up for grabs.

You know, I must be losing some of my memory in my advanced age. Sometimes, no matter how awesome, a store will just slip my mind until I’m looking through my inventory and come across a landmark or my folder and then it’ll hit me: “Why haven’t I been down there lately?”.

That happened tonight with Sartoria, a store that I’ve been visiting for years. With my head hung low with the shame of my forgetfulness I took a trip down there and came across this super sweater that was just being given away.

It’s called Klaus and there are two different versions up for grabs (on separate vendors near the store entrance). I chose this lovely deep red colour and am more than pleased with it. The sweater can be worn by itself or with the crisp white shirt underneath. It comes with a sculpted body prim that gives the sweater the perfect amount of bulk and all the attachments, including the cuffs and the collar/foulard combination look tremendous and fit without any editing.

To get yourself this brilliantly stylish sweater, all you need to do is head down to Sartoria and pick it up. While you’re down there, check out the rest of the amazing items they have in store.

Walker: Sartoria Outfit

Hopefully Chuck Norris won’t mind that I kinda-sorta borrowed from him for the title of this post. Anyway, back to the point. I got a notice the other day about there being a new free outfit called ‘Walker’ by Sartoria to grab down at Mimi’s Choice and so I had to get it.

It is a brilliant, complete casual outfit that features all that you see above. Black jeans, blue vest and white half-opened dress shirt, you get it all and it all looks great (there’s also a wickedly cool black fedora in there too guys). There are many different layers that you can choose to wear for this outfit and the shirt and vest can be worn by themselves as well. The details on every item is superb as you’d expect from Sartoria and what made it even better was that I did not have to touch one attachment to get them fitted, the cuffs and collar for the shirt and the cuffs for the jeans I just slapped on and I was off, got to love that.

This is an outfit you don’t want to miss out so head on down to Mimi’s Choice and join the group and grab this gift. While you’re there you should take a stroll around because there are just so many goodies to see.

In Black & White

The other day when I was seeking out the make him over gift from Sartoria, I noticed another little gift bag lying on a little table and I couldn’t just leave it there, could I?

Inside there was the awesome shirt you can see above. Loose and casual, this is the shirt to be lounging around in on your day off and still look good. It comes on multiple layers and features sculpted sleeves and the body part to the shirt which all fit tremendously well.

I couldn’t help but notice a rather large change in the design of the store while I was there. There is a whole lot of newness (at least to me) with a focus on black & white, way too much temptation for me. After I had picked up the gifts, I had to have this Barfly suit, like I said…temptation. I certainly didn’t have a suit like this in my inventory and I just loved the look of it. It is perfectly designed, wonderful details and the black and white stripes on the suit jacket look just amazing.

I so wanted to be sitting at a glowing oak bar with a drink in my hand wearing this suit, it is definitely well named. As you can see you get two tie options with it: the white tie in the first picture and the cool little black and white bowtie just above. All the attachments fit really well right out of the box and you even get a pair of socks thrown in! For this beauty of a suit all you will pay is L$400 which is a super bargain if you ask me. It’s definitely a worthwhile addition to your closet.

Make Him Over

As you might have guessed, I’ve been out and about, trying to do the Make Him Over hunt that started last week. I haven’t been able to get all the way through it yet but I have found a few goodies to show you here.

The first picture is a mix of a few gifts. The hair is from Shag and is called Black Jack. A wicked little wavy kinda mohawk that you get in two colours: powder and shadow. There is a colour changeable streak that runs through this ‘do and there is a huge amount of tints to choose from. The Stomp glasses are from Kumaki Glasses Style and have a large amount of fabulous options in the menu and there is also a Nylon Belt Watch included in this gift! The shirt is from Sartoria and as you’d expect from them, it is just too cool. Great design, it comes on multiple layers and has well-fitting sleeves and body prim. The jeans are Poison’s entry into the hunt and are fabulous. The Dos70 jeans come in two different waist heights: one normal and one lower plus some sweet looking sculpted cuffs, the texture is gorgeously done and has some wonderful creases around the waist and backs of the knees. You can find all these brilliant gifts by following the links below:

Hair: Shag
Glasses: Kumaki Glasses Style
Shirt: Sartoria
Jeans: Poison

Next is the hunt prize from Hermony. You get two for one with this gift as it contains both the Oversized Beanie as well as the NRD Tanktop. I was super pleased to get another one of these beanies as I like them a lot, with there being two copies for different attachment points you can wear this with a hair of your own or you can use the tattoo layer hairbase that comes with it like I have. The tanktop has a great look, I love the neon greeny colour of the image against the black of the tank itself. This also comes with a sculpted body part to give it that extra bit of awesomeness.

A couple of more gifts to finish off for today and it seems I found another hairstyle, this time from **Dura**. This is quite a different style to what I’m used to and, to be honest, it took a few minutes for me to get my head around it(it also helped that I finally got it sized right too!) but once I had, thenI started to like it. The MHO Limited Hair comes in a script resizer version and one with no such script. The Bicolor tee is from Acid & Mala Creations and is superbly casual (great for wearing with those jeans I mentioned earlier). It comes on all different layers and features lovely looking sculpted sleeves and the bottom of the shirt.

You can find these two gifts here:
Hair: **Dura**
Shirt: Acid & Mala Creations

I would say that all of these items I’ve shown here are definite must-gets and that’s barely scratching the surface of the massive hunt (there is something like 160 stores to go through!). For a full list of the stores and their links, you can take a look here:

Scent of Sartoria

I have often moaned about not having any cool little props or accessories to add to my posts, I don’t have the flair for them that Faith has. So, tonight, she sent me this awesome little pack she found on the marketplace from Sartoria. We decided that it was so brilliant that it deserved its own post instead of being put into the background.

This pack contains a jar of Moisture Cream, a bottle of Shower Gel and Aftershave. The aftershave comes in a super cool display case that opens up when you touch it. All of these are relatively low prim with the display case being the highest at 10. The ‘show’ items are not all you get however as there is also a HUD that you can wear to spray your aftershave around the place and let everyone know you smell good! There are plenty of options to change the text and emitter within the HUD as well.

All this great stuff for your bathroom and yourself will only cost you L$1 from the marketplace which is an amazing price as all these items look fantastic. You can pick it up here:

The towel is  from Venus on the marketplace and the texture on it is just lovely and very handy to have for when you’re stepping out of the shower and about to use your new aftershave. You can find their marketplace store here:

Chic Raffle

I was down at Sartoria yesterday checking out the gorgeous suits when I noticed that they have a raffle board, not thinking I could possibly win, I decided to give it ago anyway, nothing ventured and all that. Imagine my surprise when I logged in tonight and found that I had won! And just what did I win, I hear you ask?

The prize was the amazing suit you see above: The Chic Tourist. This is just simply an amazing pinstriped suit with black jacket, shirt and either short pants or long trousers. I personally love, love, love the short version as they give you a completely different look than what is usual: a great casual yet elegant style. The texturing on all facets of this suit are just superb, the pinstripes are clean-looking and the creases – especially on the inner shirt – are crisp. All the attachments are resized by script and there are plenty of good-looking ones including the cuffs for the shorts and jacket, two versions of the jacket and shirt collars (combined) and two colours for the breast handkerchief – black or white as well as the belt for the shorts. You also get the collars for the shirt and jacket separately so you can choose to wear them how you wish.

You would normally pay L$635 for this fantastic suit and as far as I know the Raffle is an ongoing thing so you should take yourself down to Sartoria and enter the raffle while you take a look at the sweet designs.
