My Fave Words, CHEAP, DOLLARBIES, FREEBIES, COPY & MOD!

Faith did a post recently where she found some super freebies/dollabies from the MP and of course since I’m a hoarder and they were fabulous finds I not only grabbed them but I decided to check out the inworld shop called “Old World”.

At the LM there is a whole load of Dollarbies/cheapies/GG’s including these because at only 19Lds I’d say they were a super bargain.

The cat, log basket and plant are all linked and come to 4prims, the plant pots are only I believe 2 prims for the whole lot, and here is the BUTTT…yup copy & mod.

Feel free to skip this last bit esp if you’re not into landscaping etc.

I’d spent so much time wandering around the Old World shop that I didn’t have much time to play with the mod but even simply removing the plants from the pots gave me for 1 prim for each  and some pots to put my own plants in and a nice clump of very seasonal colour flowers to place at random on our sim.  With the cat one I actually only removed the plant, comes in 3 bits and those leaves make a most lovely plant.  Since I had to log out I am going to assume it will be just as easy to separate the cat from the basket.

I will be back to this shop, not today or tomorrow probably not till next year but I have the LM tucked away into a new folder I have where I put places I want to return to at a later date to actually buy something.  The “Old World” shop is geared very much to the RP, Gor, Medival, Rustic style of decor and landscaping but as always although most of it wouldn’t fit into my SL there are some fab pieces.  There is a fab small complete vegetable garden perfect for those with small plots of land or the things I really want is the broken down truck with soil and plants growing in the bed of the truck.  They do come with a price tag but I don’t mind getting spendy when it comes to decor/landscaping.  The only reason I didn’t pick them up now is that my invent will eat it.  Things go into my invent and I never see them again, it’s like a Blackhole of doom!  So if I bought them now in a week or so they will have vanished and come next season when I really could use them I’d either forgotten about them or wouldn’t be able to find them.  So it’s better just to earmark them for future purchase rather than take the risk.

Now I’m inworld LM grabbing I’ve checked and the group is only 10Lds to join and between all the Dollarbies and the GG’s you will find loads BUT I also remembered that if you walk around this shop you will see a small building with a sale sign on it and inside are some really cheap bargains.

PS.  But of course you can leave the things as they come, you know I love to rip things apart but I will be keeping those plant pots together as a little group.

A place for all Seasons

New round of Home Whimsy is on and Lunar Seasonal Designs has a brilliant piece out for it. What appears to be a rather pretty and useful Gazebo turns out to be a real “forever” item! Now, Zan and I have learnt the hard way the last few years on our own sim Dreamworks – it’s better to buy seasonal decor then to keep on changing every.damm.thing each time the season changes! Sooo imagine my delight when I realised that this gazebo not only has colour change on all parts (even the roof) but “drum roll” it also has the ability to provide seasonal panoramas & weather all around! The surround is provided by clear panels which can also be turned off if you don’t want them.

The Chapter Four

Simple one.(Freebie).

I’m stuffed, I went wild at the Christmas market in town but who could blame me with all those stalls selling hot delicious food from all across the world, at least SLing doesn’t make you gain weight.

Just a simple group gift from Roawenwood.  I didn’t have time to do the 25Ld Tuesday yesterday and even less time to do it today but I always like to check Roawenwood’s as the discounted item is often something I can use in my SL home or garden.  If you’re interested then the 25Ld item is a really good small tree in a plant pot that has dropped all it’s leaves and only has a few berries attached to the bare branches and the only reason I didn’t pick it up is that I got the full-leafed version a couple of weeks ago and I don’t think I could use this one.  Check it out though as stood on your doorstep or patio it’s a perfect winter decor item and whilst you’re there you can pick up this simple little Group Gift as they’re both in the same stall/stand.

I was just going to take the 1 piccie as it is what it is but then I realised it looks like a little chair/throne at this angle so I just took a side shot for you to see it from the side.

You have to join the Free Group to get this, click and buy it for 1Ld and I think you get the linden returned to you.  To find this and the 25Ld item then when you rezz turn to your left and it’s in the stand/stall.

Kill some time here as well because although Ro….builds/furniture etc are all leaning towards the Medieval/RP/Gor market there is plenty here for anyone’s home.

I have cake & a super sim decor bargain

I got a New RL bread maker last night so today I have made 2 loaves, 1 cake and a pan of Jam, or as you Yanks say “jelly”, and since the sun has struggled out from behind the clouds I’ve been lazing like a Lady of Leisure in my garden feeding my fat face.  It goes without saying I’ve eaten too much bread and cake and now I feel bloated and sad!

I’ve mentioned the 25Ld Tues offers before, just sub to one of the shops involved in it and you should get sent out a note with the LM’s and shops involved in that weeks 25Ld Tue offer.  Most of the shops involved are more towards the RP/Rustic/Gor/Medieval SLers BUT do NOT let that put you off if this isn’t your thing.  I’ve found some excellent decor items for my sim and home and occasionally an outfit which I couldn’t resist.

I have to admit that once I get my hands on the list I quickly scan it to see if my Fav shops are in the list and this week DD (Dysfuntionality Design) were on the list so that was my first place to TP over to and check out these low primed pretty floating Chinese lanterns.

You get the 5 colours shown, copyable and only 1 prim each so you can rezz as many of these as you wish.

Super simple menu with them just rezz  on the ground click on it and you get 2 tabs the first is to choose how wide or how close you want the lantern to float to where you rezz it and the other to activate it and once you click that it just floats away.  Being able to choose to keep it in a restrictive area means you can rezz these even on a small plot and of course again you can rezz just the single lantern or as many as you wish.

If you’ve never been to DD (Dysfunctionality Designs) then you must go, I’m pretty sure there is some decor freebies there but it’s been a long time since I’ve checked, but go for the fruit n veg because you will find some of the best, realistic and low primed fruit n veg planting you will find in SL.  Very reasonably priced as well esp for such exc quality.

How good is this! I know that there is a quick redelivery system here at DD but as I was LM grabbing, it doesn’t take you direct to the 25Ld offer but look on the ground and there are signs that lead you right to it, but I also decided to splash out and I’ve bought some grasses, bunnie rabbits and other items for our sim inc a stunning rose-bush which comes with a colour hud etc but I’d forgotten I’d already bought it so I paid my 125Lds which is shockingly cheap for such quality and I got it returned to me!  Took me a second to realise, and check my invent, that I already own these roses and so it wouldn’t let me buy something I already own! How good is that!

Indecent Haste (25Ld Tue and Freebies).

Fingers crossed that SL seems to have fixed the gremlins and so I was able to get inworld and check out the Tuesday 25Lds offers.  Every Tuesday a list of shops who have priced an item for just a token 25Lds is sent out and the items on offer can be as varied as a dress to a full build but the one thing they have in common is that they’re very much in the Rustic/Gor/Medieval/Rp theme.  DO NOT let that put you off checking out the list or this shop as I’ve found many a great top quality but dirt cheap priced decor item for my home.  So as I worked my way through the list I came across this shop which is new to me and as soon as I spotted the 25Ld offer I grabbed and then I grabbed the GG’s because that’s what I do LOL.

Firstly the 25Ld offer and the reason I’m being quick with this post is  although some shops leave their offer out for a bit longer some snatch it away from you after Tuesday is over and I’d hate you to miss this.  The metal set is the offer and it’s a linked item which means that it all comes to just 1 single prim!  Makes for a great table or sideboard decoration.

This is one of the Group Gifts and it also comes with a wearable pair of chop stick hair accessories.  Again a single prim for all of that detailing!

Another GG is this settle and coffee table and I did a quick pose pop and you get singles as well as couples and you even get a colour Hud for the cushions, 4 colours in total.  I’ve missed out a couple of the other GG’s because of lack of time but there is a double belt which comes with a colour Hud and instructions to resize and I do believe a blood-red curtain but I was so rushed for time I’m not sure about the last one.

As I’ve said the NC shop is new to me and I’m pretty sure by its “coming soon” signs it’s new to SL. Even if Rustic/Medieval etc isn’t your style you will have to admire the quality of the items in this shop esp the Round Table of Olde.  Even the delivery system for your gifts/purchase comes in an adorable wearable origami stag.

So Be quick if you want to take advantage of the 25Ld offer but make sure to grab the goodies and LM this place for a return visit.

“Old Wood Things”(Freebies).

RL was a bit busy today (bloddy dentist OW) so I thought I’d just pop inworld and check my notes but as soon as I saw this one I thought “ooo easy quick post” and here it is.

They all come from Aisling and are inc in the same box and you don’t even have to join a group to grab.

A close up of the chests, they have that very Olde Worlde look to them which of course isn’t surprising when you see that Druunah Esharham’s shop is aimed towards the those whole enjoy RPing or even just prefer a more rustic look to their home.  Please do not let this put you off visiting, there is a whole range of furniture, RPing and clothing here and the quality is excellent which means no matter how modern your home is I’m pretty sure you will find a statement piece here.

These 1 prims lamps come in the same box as the trunks and you get 3 of them, copyable.

So of course I go back to LM grab and find even more Freebies so check this out, 5 prims crystal chandelier.  It’s simple and yet intricate and yes FREE.  Actually I also did a quick Apple Bob as I was there but RL was demanding attention so I have no idea of what I won.

Lucky Me(Freebie)&Gacha……..OOO Update.

I spent some time at a beautiful shopping sim but sadly didn’t find any freebies:-( however I did spot a rug in one of the shops being used as a decor item and I knew it would be perfect for my home so I clicked and got the details and TPed over to Damian Kleiner’s shop, Aisling  and WOO HOO turns out it’s a FREEBIE! I love it when that happens.

Yet again I’m rearranging my beloved home it’s an addiction.  Faith knows I have a house/skybox/shed/greenhouse and on and on addiction and over the years I’ve lived in many styles of home from a tiny Japanese shoe box sized apartment to a grand skybox but this home from LISP has been the longest lasting home ever! So one day when I finally finish my fiddling with it I will show you some pretty pictures.

Back to the rug.  A freebie from Aisling and I love it, it’s just what I was after and check out this lovely touch, even with this cute critter and the shadow this rug is only 1Prim! There’s actually more Freebies inc some very realistic fur rugs.

Aisling is a really lovely shop and although it’s aimed towards the RPing community there is some stunning items for everyone here.  I tried out a bath which was not only beautiful and unique the poses in it were as well, a rather sexy undressing AO where the man can undress the woman and visa versa (looked a bit sad doing that on my own some LOL) but it did look very smooth and sexy.

The Freebies, I also picked up some very realistic animal skin rugs as well, are in the main landing area.  To get to the other departments you have to use the TP’s set into the floor.  A very easy system and it really is worth checking out the different departments.

I of course went straight to the Gacha Dept and for 50Lds won this.  I should have held off taking the picture for just a second as the writing on the paper is much crisper than is shown but you can see from the ashtray alone how sharp it is.  Such detail even down to the heat spot on the ashtray.  Everything apart from the cup planter in the background is linked and it’s only a SINGLE PRIM! 50Lds a go on this Gacha and as I’ve said I would have been happy with anything from it and I know damned well that when I go back to grab the LM I’ll take a chance on it again (I did go back and I won an equally as brill waste basket).

Special mention to the builds here.  As I’ve said I’m addicted to houses but the more rustic RPing ones always leave me a bot cold as they just don’t seem to work for me that is but there are some of the best rustic farm houses/homes I’ve ever seen here.  The texturing is excellent and the prim count and price more than reasonable even as a non RPer I’d still be so tempted.

UPDATE.  Can’t believe I almost missed out these brill FREEBIES from Aisling.

I just quickly  rezzed a few of them on the table which is why you can see the shadow over the side of the table but I really wanted to get this posted before I left SL.

I had one of these once but it went the same way as most of my house plants, died slowly but surely.  I’ve done nothing to the picture apart from using my sim setting and look at that detail and texturing and not only is this an anniversary freebie but each plant is only a single prim!

Again a Freebie from Aisling which is why I’m adding it to this post at the last minute.  You get them in the same place as the other freebies but not on the wall, you will see a large wood planter with these in it on the floor next to the wall.  Just click and you get the whole lot, I think about5-6 different colours, copy and at a single prim so usable.
