Retro Vibes @ NextUP

Oh My Dayssss SO retro! I was so pumped when I saw this set by Ever Green – love me some vintage feels. This is the Retro Vibes collection that’s out at the NextUP event – think gacha but you see what’s up next. Unbelievably just $50L a pop ! A fatpack is also available if, like me, you have no patience

I test drove almost all of this set – the bar just won for my absolute fav pieces – great animations for bartending , standing, seated etc. Menu driven so a ton of colours to fool around with (same goes for all the items)

Adorable dining set – which counts as one item to be won – low land impact and plenty of animations for dining and sitting – you can even have a jello desert !

Relax in the tub styled chair and footstool , watch a bit of vintage television – lots of moving pictures to chose from – love that ❤

Seriously SO stylish – even my poodle approves. I’m going to have a VERY hard time trying to fit these items in my home but wheres there’s a will there’s a way right? If you’re not familiar with NextUp machines its super simple. The machine shows the “next item up” for grabs – if its what you want – pay et voila its yours – or you can wait till someone else takes something orrrr buy a couple of thing to get the pieces you want – choice is yours.

$25L Tuesday – what did I buy?

I was off like a rocket when I spotted this from Muniick ! A retro telephone table plus a phone. Both items have colour change and all really fabbo aged and faded tones – 4Li for the table, 2Li for the phone – and just $25L – what a steal.

Little house on the hill. (Dollarbie).

I decided to take a quick snap of the house at Mina’s main shop which I frequently use as a backdrop.

I’d love to own this house and since I don’t I get the second best thing and I use it as a backdrop. Obviously, no one gets rezzing rights, not even me, but the well decorated inside and landscaped outside seem to be open for all to use. Add to that a super flattering windlight setting and you have a great place for some “point and click” pics.

These other pictures were also taken on the Mina sim but nearer to the shop, I just thought this stylish promenade made a better backdrop for this whole look.

The hat is obviously not the Dollarbie although I’m sure that this hair/hat set it a gift for Noobs, ie new residents to SL under 30 days.  I could be wrong but if you know someone new(ish) then send them to Mina’s.  Also, I never mention it often enough but inside of Mina’s are Gacha’s and some of my fav hairs are Gacha prizes.  So a brilliant way for someone on a budget to get quality hair for not an unreasonable price, I think they’re 75Ld a try.

OK enough waffle and now for a surprising win with this Dollarbie dress.

I picked up a few Dollarbies from the “Higgle” marketplace shop and even though I suspected most would end up in the trash I had my fingers crossed for this one and it worked.  A classic SL design with that bold retro pattern really does stand out.

This dress does come with lots of mesh bod fits and a different hat, belt, necklace and sunglasses which emm..nope.  Tart it up with your own stuff as I can see this with a big chunky necklace or earrings and an oversized bag.

I’d have liked to have an item of clothing to show you but my wandering of SL hasn’t brought me to any at least this Free sign give me a good excuse to remind you, homeowners, to visit a shop called Silence.

This shop has been around for a couple of years now and although there isn’t much going on upstairs-downstairs there is plenty going on to tempt you.  Some retro furniture etc but it’s the beds which I think are most standouts in the shop.

Anyhow it won’t take you long to check this shop out and hopefully, my next post will be clothing.

UPDATE: Damn n blast.  So I did take the LM from outside of the Silence shop however the LM for this shopping sim is preset which is normally not an issue but since a large chunk of this sim is under construction you basically end up buried deep in a load of mesh n prims.  If you, like me, keep your mini-map open then you will see the red circle of where you should be and you can batter and barge you way there…or just wait till they have finished doing what they’re doing and get it at a later date.

This Coat

Finally found THE coat! Ive been searching and searching for something to catch my eye et voila – here it is.  Classic trench-coat with a twist. Gawd I am really SO pleased. I went back to Pixel Box (see my last post) as it seemed such an interesting kinda store. Goth / retro/Victorian/modern all sorts really. Then I spotted this…*happy sigh*, it is unbelievably only $50L , seriously ! Boat load of fits in the box, I’m wearing a Maitreya body and its perfect.

The Hud is interesting, lots of options for colours and styles. Four types of buttons, eight colours to play with between the four styles. Plus you can tint to get a really personal look.

Just to show you another style from the Hud – a two-tone version – love it ! The store is quite large and two floors, youll find lots to see.

Slumber Time – Preview

Oh I adore this ! Vintage style onesie as  we here in the UK might call it. This will be at the December round of Uber from Neve. Heaps and heaps of patterns and colours to choose from. You can opt for the slippers off or on, the back “butt cover” open or closed – I dont think Im ever going to take this off ! I was torn between the baby pink and this traditional red plaid – totally lushhhhh – thanks Neve team ❤

Mad Muttering.(Dollarbie).

It took me forever to work it out that I picked this little number up from the Marketplace and not inworld.

How retro is that pattern?  I’m just showing you the dress and not the mid height shoes which have the same texturing. I wanted to do a little bit of a close up so you can see that little sheer panel on the front of the dress.

This is the Dollarbie but there is the 99Ld option which comes with the shoes, hat and a 10 patterned hud which I think a lot of people will really like so buy the Dollarbie to check the quality and then treat yourself to the super-bargain priced on.

Since I’m now grabbing the Marketplace Link I might just grab myself a BIG cup of coffee, put Judge Judy on TV and have a scroll through the marketplace and see what else I can find.
