Renting a home in Second Life – Don’t overlook this !

Decided to look around at the rental homes that are on offer. It never ceases to amaze me how poorly some rental areas are set up ! I landed in water, on deserted beaches and of course – in homes that got me ejected back to my own home *sigh*. If you’re a landlord in Second Life – please please make sure that prospective tenants  land some where even near your office ! Sooo after discounting any that didn’t take me to their rental boards – I landed at Pixel Eye. Right outside the rental office (hurrah!) with easy to read rental boards (hooray). Now you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d landed at a ballroom – as right in the centre of this area is a rather bright gold ballroom. I’m not entirely sure if I like that – BUT – if you can overlook the gold’ness of it all , around the outside are some pretty cool rental homes.

I plumped for this teeny tiny fully furnished cabin , you might recognise the maker as DRD . I was feeling lazy and this one came fully furnished with an additional 100 prims.  Most of the homes were $100L per week with 100 prims, some are a lot bigger than this so take your time and wander around.

I know I would be able to furnished them with the 100 prim allowance and it appeared to be pretty lag free and quiet – if a little lacking in privacy as most were quite close to one another. I suppose it all depends on what you’re looking for really, this might be a good place to socialise with the ballroom being so close. Unless it gets very busy and laggy, Id be able to overlook the ballroom build and the closeness of the other properties for such a reasonable price. I had one small request about moving the rent box and it was dealt with fairly quickly – always a good sign!
