Free like a Dove (Free Stuff n Stuff).

Free Dove is a place that has been in SL longer than anyone else I know and that inc me and Faith.  I know both Faith and I have done a post about it previously because this is such a good place to go as everything is FREE, clothes, skins, hair, shoes and now it had mesh as well as non mesh items and they’re FREE to all.

Lets be honest here not everything will make a hardened fashionistas heart sing but even I found some real nice goodies and just as good I had a fun time on my platform unpacking and trying stuff on then a quick TP to one of my fav sims a couple of snaps later a lovely way to spend a rainy day stuck indoors.

This dress is a gift from the shop called “1 Hundred” I have to say it’s been a while since I’ve popped into their mainshop so I might do that later today after doing the Hunt Faith has just done.  She seems to have had a lot of fun and for some reasons thinks the spooky prizes are right up my street.

And this dress is one from Sage.  TBH I picked up so much stuff from the boxes set out for us to hunt prizes I’m not really sure if these were just freebies or hunt items.  As it happens whilst I was LM grabbing I checked out the ages of the people there and there was so many people who were long-term SLers and not just noobs so it just shows we all love a bargain.

Free Dove

 

Too much fun and a whole load of bargain bin stuff.

I logged back into the SLMarketplace for a bit of rummaging and I was shocked to come across The Sea Hole!  A lot of SL old timers will recognise this name as it was a BIG shop in SL but the owner decided to shut down many, MANY years ago but before she did she slashed the prices and people went bat shit crazy.  You could not move for people clicking away like mad.  This stuff was so nice I STILL have a couple of pieces in my invent.

There is a total of 246 items priced between 1-10Lds and 280 between 11Ld and 100Ld so many things so I basically loaded 10 items into my basket paid for them and logged out.

This home cost me only a single Linden and it’s packed with unique character.

A completely retro tailor.  Although I’m showing paid for items I’m going to picture edit because just like the items I picked up it’s fun to do LOL but you can see the actual colours for everything on the Marketplace pictures.

It’s a big and oversized build but that’s in keeping with its character.

It has an open plan, bedroom, livingroom and kitchen.  As far as I can tell the only pose in it is a simple lounging one on the bed.  This is primmy, sorry I can’t remember the exact count but it was just under the 140 mark.  But as I said this is a unique build, I know that a lot of people like to make their SL homes like perfect reality but then there are those who like to be a bit out there and this is it.  If I found this house in SL I would click on it to find out who made it because it’s refreshing to come across something with a bit more “oomph” to it.

The outfit is another one of Drinkinstein Sorbet’s creation.  If I remember correctly The Sea Hole closed it’s doors not long after mesh appeared on the scene but it’s non mesh and sculpted clothes still stand the test of time and again if you’re not a Mesh Head then this is a great place to get some new clothes and again since everything is so cheap, this dress cost 15Lds, you can really splurge.  Plenty of colour choices as well.

Again another big and primmy home and again I’ve forgotten the prim count but I think …OH I’ve checked and it’s 223 but for all of those prims you get a big house fully furnished and with the same “oomph” as the first home but this one called “Fall Comfort House” is warm and woody, I’ve not put many of the pictures in this post but like the first house some really nice touches such as the hanging bed.  Primmy for sure but definitely designed for those who like to stand out.

I ran out of space in my basket for a top so I just used one of mine but the skirts is a Sea Hole one which means even though that texturing is as smooth as a babies bum this is a prim skirt.

So many things in this Marketplace shop from clothes to full builds and little itty bits and although there are some items at 50Lds most seem to be priced between 1-30Lds.

Mondays Kiss (freebies).

I’m kissing (keep it simple stupid) it this morning because I got so distracted with the remodelling of my new house I ran out of time.  Sometimes when I have a new home I simply delete the old one leaving all the internal decor items where they are and then spend my time picking through them to see what I’m going to keep and what I’m deleting and so as I was doing this I just took a moment to pop a couple of items on and snapped a few shots off.

OK confession time, I’ve either forgotten to pick up the NEW Asteria gift or I accidentally deleted it as I tried on quite a few of the Group Gifts set out for us and so what I am showing you I have shown you before BUT in my defence I’ve not shown you these textures.

A simple strapless romper, the belt is a perfect fit and you get a choice of sizes and since it comes as a separate it’s very handy for going with not just this outfit but also jeans, shorts, skirts etc although the romper itself is familiar this lovely leafy flowery texturing isn’t.  There is a choice of colours as well for you to choose from.

I have shown you this dress and I know I have because even though that post was actually now quite a long time ago I still have this dress in my invent but in the mossy green shade and this time I wanted to show you a different colour.  There is a whole selection of shades on offer and there is no reason why you can’t snag the whole lot of them.  A simple well-fitting, well textured and so easy to wear dress.

As I’ve said I ran out of time other wise I would have gone back to regrab the new GG, free to join of course.  You will find all the GG’s not in the shop but outside right next to where you rezz.  Just in case you’re not a Mesh Head then there are clothes for you as well in fact a good mix of mesh and non mesh so everyone can find something.

Random Monday (frrrrreeeneeesss)

A notice from Sn@tch had come through that the Lucky Boards and the Fish For This item and the Riot boards were all filled with NEW STUF so I made sure that when I logged in this morning to TP straight over there and hopefully I’d win something as I killed time trudged through all my notices and the minute I landed I won a whole new look just  from one LB.

OH Booger I’ve forgotten what it’s called and now I’m not in world but I will post this then when I get back in world I will add it’s name but what you get  this top, shorts, leggings, boots, earrings but also…

this top and skirt.  As it happens I already had this shoulder less top in my invent for a long time and it’s been such valuable asset for layering and also so sweet on its own as I usually team it with a pair of shorts.

Not only does Sn@tch have LBs but it also has a “Fish For This” outfit which usually consists of several items which means you can mix and match a whole look and if you join the Sn@tch group there is a thriving swapping culture (a lot of Sn@tch items are trans but not the LB items) so if you have many copies you can easily hand them on and if you’re missing a vital item then a simple message in the group usually has several people offering you that item.  You do have to have the Seven Sea’s fishing kit but you don’t even need to use bait to win the clothes!  “Lets Riot” is a call sent out often in the group and again this is the ONLY place where people regularly riot bringing the price down on the 3 items that are usually up for grabs.  When the call goes out to “riot” people TP in even if they don’t want the items but to let others grab a bargain that s how nice this group is.  A friendly group who are more than happy to help but in no way SPAMMY.

Sn@tch is well stocked with new fresh Mesh Items but it still retains its massive selection of non mesh stock and updates non mesh items regularly.  People still want non mesh clothes and even if you’re a complete mesh head the texturing and styling on Sn@tches clothes make them stand up so well even against mesh.

PS if you can’t find the LB, Fish, Riot area esp since Sn@tch is now a new shop then turn on your mini map and just follow the crowd as a lot of people seem to use this area not only for the goodies but as their hang out place.

Borking Hell part 2 (freebies).

Still borked but fortunately I’d grabbed the goodies before I borked.  For some reason I decided to pop over to Zenith Fashions and they have NEW Group Gifts out (free to join).

And that s all I have to say lol, actually because I know Zenith quite well from previous visits and I own or have owned a number of Miffyhoi Rosca designs I know it reasonably well.  A good mix of mesh and non mesh, mens clothes as well and in fact if you’re a couple who like to dress alike they do have his n her outfits.  Don’t really want to say much more as I don’t like doing a post when I can’t actually be in the shop in world to double check and as I’m still “borked” then I’m just going by memory.  So pop in and grab the goodies and there is also a LB and a row of Gachas as well.

DOH forgot to mention that there are more group gifts than just this coat but I just haven’t been able to unpack and try then out.

Lost Ball (Freebies and big 50% sale).

Something is just about to jump down Faiths chimney and it’s got suprises.

Again another rush job but I had to get this posted because I have a busy RL day tomorrow and in all honestly I wanted to blog not only these 2 fantastic free Mesh AVs but also to SHOUT OUT that yet another 50% sale is going on at Cocos.

Unfortunately for me the Cocos doesn’t have much for men and I could be wrong since I’m not too sure of what the prices usually are  but I don’t think they’re reduced in this sale (I’m probably mistaken) but the women s stuff is slashed in price and I know 2 people (Zan and Faith) who will be TPing right over there as soon as they find out. So I’ll settle on these fun free, and you don’t even need to join her group to get them, AVs.

PS I’m looking pished in my reindeer outfit cos the sim ate my pose ball…..and it was non copy!

Coco Designs

Pastel Princess (Freebie).

I had just noticed that my pictures were all looking a little dark and Autumnal nothing wrong with that but I was hankering for some colour and I just as I thought I must get something light and bright I found this dress (and it was also a good excuse to use a prop I’ve had for absolutely ages and never used).

This is a lovely bright mesh dress from Pinky Gals and it’s free for all.

The fabric has a satin look to it with quite a bright sheen which you can really see in this picture.  There is also a couple of other freebies and a couple of Gachas.  I bought one of the cute straw hats for only 30Lds but as luck would have it I won the only colour that wouldn’t go with this dress (black) but you may want to have a try as the hat does look as though it would suit it really well.

Then of course the latest Mina hair.  I have to say that I wasn’t going to do it straight away but she has so many new styles out and as soon as I put it on I  knew I had to do it.

How fruity and juicy does this red look.  I’ve got 3 different colours on in the 3 photos so you can see you can get every shade from black to blondest of blondes but they’re not flat uniformed colours.  Blended to perfection.  This hair is called Tabita I should have taken a behind shot because although this is a full head it doesn’t have that dreaded Helmet Head look that this style can have.  When I put on a new hair I cam and zoom all around it to make sure it looks great and it does from every angle.  Demo available of course because what one person rants about another thinks “wtf!” lol.  BTW if anyone is wanting a great look in her shop she has a Cat Woman hair and mask which is seriously sexy.

Special Mention to kaori0514 Karas (Pinky Gals) sim.  She has the whole sim set out for all with some great seating areas, a club etc so when you’ve checked out her shop have a look around because we all need somewhere to chill.  DOH and I mustn’t forget to mention that if you’re a horsey person then walk out of Mina’s main store and you will find that she too has an open sim of hills and grass and beaches and lovely neighy(sic) horses.
