Revenge! (Cheap n Free n Fun).

Revenge of the Pins!  Have to confess I wasn’t going to go to The Wash this round because in all honesty I didn’t think there would be too much new to interest but I decided to pop over in any case  and was happy to see lots of new stuff.  Clothes, SLink shoes, jewels, skins, decor items etc and this tiny Bowling pin AV.  Since I just couldn’t squeeze yet another item of clothing in my invent I decided that I’d go for something fun and yup thats me squeezed into a tiny AV, you get everything ie alpha, mesh, and the bowling ball what you don’t get is the lightning bolts coming from the ball I added them for a dramatic look LOL.

Then I went back to grab this mesh dress.  Again just me having fun in one of my fav builds, a ruined theatre in the sky.  This dress is beautiful, shimmery and very very pink but you do actually also get a pink and green skirted one in the pack.  Other colour options are available on this stall.  Sorry I was too busy dancing I forgot to do a zooooom in on the “stripper shoes”.  Free from the latest round of the Cosmopolitan.  You do have to join the free  group and as Baylen has pointed out the GG is above the doorway going into one of the 3 rooms.  You get 2 colours in this pack and they’re for SLink High feet.  Trust me WORTH going for them!

Everything at The Wash is only 10Lds, nice that the whole place is laid out in an easy to follow pattern so you shouldn’t have much problem locating these.

Cosmopolitan Sales Room

Sooo good.

As soon as I read the note from Cahsmere & Keeane I logged into the Marketplace and grabbed these.  Basically Cashmere&Keane have slashed their prices down to 50Lds for EVERYTHING but the catch is this offer is only for their MP shop and not their inworld one and it’s only for the next 5 days.  Since I only just got the note I’m going to assume thats 5 days from now.

I bought the nude shade as it’s a versatile colour and then OMG when I logged back into the Marketplace to check out more items at this sale price I found a FULL 11 colour pack of these shoes set for only 50Lds!!!! Grab grab grab, a great fit, great style, I’m not sure what price these are in the inworld shop but this isn’t cheapo carp.  You will however need to have SLink med feet for these.

Even if you’re not after a new pair of shoes check them out in anycase as a total of 402 items at only 50Lds so everything from crisp shirts to mens skins.

NP Although I haven’t had a size issue thats no guarantee that no one will so I should mention that Demos are available and although this is such an amazing offer if you want to make sure always buy the demo first.

Smashing Pumpkins (Freebies,Gachas and Spooks).

Start at the bottom of this sim and work your way up.  Loads of great spooky places to hang around in (boom boom) lots of props and poses and great settings and Pumpkins. When you see a pumpkin, and there are many of them dotted all around the sim, sit on it (best turn off your AO for this) and you get to punch it’s lights out and you will either get a pressie, a LM to a pressie or strike out and get nothing but a puff of green smoke.  Then half way up you come to the Redrum and Death Row Design Halloween Gacha event.  Lots of in theme gacha items from some great SL shops but more than that again some more great posing potential, stalls and freak shows to simply enjoy.

Next to this prop is a cage with freeness which inc this skeleton (there was also a couple of outfits but if I remember correctly they were women s so I didn’t open them).  I didn’t grab all the freebies but got this and the Redrum stuff which inc bullet wounds and an autopsy set up.

This is half way up but if you walk all the way to the top of the hill you will find a sign post one way is Redrum and even further down what looks like a small village made up of small shops, and the other way is DRD (Death Row Design).  I did notice that Redrum has a whole row of LCs and MM boards so when I log in to get LMs and other things I will be plonking myself in front of them to see what I can get although most items do seem to for women there is a couple of male items.

I was so impressed with the clothes in Deadwool that I just couldn’t decided which to buy  as I’m an AV on a limited budget, so I stowed all the demos away in a folder for a later date and then as luck would have it I decided to go to The Mens Dept and there was one of the coats, Walden Raincoat,  I had stowed away and at a reduced price.  A choice of colours and I chose the yellow as it’s a very Sou’wester style of coat.  Then took myself off to a sim with a lighthouse and placed out a spooky ghost (can you spot it?).

Decided to do a closer up shot so you can see the texturing and colour better.

I think I could possibly buy the whole contents of this shop because I’ve tried on all the demos and there is something quiet unique with it’s styling.  Very “Deadwood” themed and definately a place for people who RP but more than that it’s for people who like to look good even in SL.   Sadly not a vast shop but everything you could need is here for an incredible long duster coat to boots, hats, shirts etc and not everything is mesh.  Obviously the non mesh doesn’t come with demos but if the same quality of texturing is used then they too will be excellent.   This coat in the shop is 340Lds but at The Mens Dept it’s on offer for 190Lds.

Boom.

I always love getting sent gifties off Boom, Mysteria or even Piddle because I know that it’s gonna be good.  So I tried on the shorts and shirt, oo’d over the bag and then put it all away.  Since I’ve got so much left on my Boom Credit I decided it’s time to haul ass and see whats new and this is my “goto” winter outfit.

I have an almost identical pair of those trousers in RL (although not as flared!) and although I don’t walk around with my navel so exposed I know that with a woolie or in this case a jacket they can look so great not only in SL but RL.  The trousers are called “Norfolk Tweeds” and there is a complete range of colours from winter/autumnal colours to pastels and creams.  All of course come as demos and even fat packs.  The jacket  is whats got me because it comes from the Cartel Collection which I wasn’t sure if it was a boom design or if I could use my store credit and happily I could.  I just knew that this zingy orange coat (full name is Chinese Short Coat in Firework) would look stunning with the trousers or even just jeans.  Such an unique look that stands out from the crown.  A total of 4 colours in this style of jacket but there are other jackets in a similar vein with more colour options.  This is a strange one because “one size fits all” and as far as I can tell that’s exactly the case.

Now look closely at the hair. Faith managed to blog the previous Mina hair before me so as soon as I got this I sent her a note which said something along the lines of “back off the Mina hair Biatch”.  Mina isn’t of course the only hair I love in SL but what I love most about her hairs is the colouring.  She does everything from the more sedate blondes to the extreme gingers and all the colours in between. Her hair is like a great RL hair dye job in that there are so many colours blended together to make the overall colour.  This one is called Josje  and I’ve used a different shade in each picture but please be brave and try out ALL of the colours before you make your choice because you maybe suprised at how good some of the colours you normally wouldn’t have looked at previously can look.

PS don’t forget to check out the upstairs there is a particularly lovely windy hair and hat up there which I am buying right now.

Mean n Moody (The Homeless Hunt)

You may struggle to find the hidden box but the search will be more fun that you think.  Time, money and more importantly imagination has been spent on the layout of  李 周杰倫  (superjaix) shop called XIAJ.  The LM takes you to the entrance of a subway station, walk down the darkened tunnel to the subway entrance. Such attention to detail.  At first I was wondering where exactly were the clothes but one click on one of the trains brings up a menu all you do is chose which department you want to visit ie men, women and discount and then another click and you TP there.  Not a massive selection but there is an edge of youth and newness to the designs. No demos in the shop so not going to assume they’re mesh but if you check out his Marketplace shop you can see he does have a lot of mesh and also many items come with colour/texture changing huds.  I’ve also added Superjaix flickr so you can see the look you will get if you shop here.The jacket I am wearing is the Homeless Hunt item but as a bonus if you can’t find it then slap the Free to Join Group board and you get some leopard sneakers male and female versions included. This jacket/shirt combo is mesh and is scruffed and worn as befitting the theme of this hunt.

Just an image of the escalators down to the trains now is that tempting or what.  Special mention is that if you’re not tempted by the clothes still call in and check out the “new” items room because he’s kitted it out as a man cave so if you are SL homeless and need somewhere just to be able to sit, maybe with a friend or two and chill then there is a home here for you.

Faith’s bit of rough (The Homeless Hunt).

This pose is a great gift for the Homeless Hunt from elephante poses.   Even if you’re not a blogger but like to take a decent picture then the trick is the pose (and the windlight settings of course).  Elephantine is packed with them and very reasonably priced and I should know as I have a whole folder of poses from here.  This is a his n her pose and I love the fact that the “pose balls” are in the shape of musical notes which makes them much prettier if you want to leave them out.  Rest assured that the box you’re looking for it easy to find and I can only hope that the other hunt items that have been placed out here are just as easy to find because you can never have too many excellent poses.

The hoodie that I’m wearing in both pictures is yet again a Homeless Hunt item.  It says “university of whatever” and I was hoping that this was Unisexed but it’s not, so lucky for the boys and boo hoo for the girls because it’s shop quality.  Great fit, great texturing, great look. Comes from American Bazaar so I’m not suprised .  A real good 50/50 mix of men and women’s clothes and more than reasonably priced.  There is a very preppy spring shirt jumper for only 89Lds! a bargain at twice the price so I’ve loaded up with demos and when I’ve had some quiet time I’m trying them on and going to treat myself.

Special mention to the burning barrel. Another The Homeless hunt item (I wasn’t able to squeeze in the flickering TV).  What suprised me most wasn’t the quality of this and the TV but from who donated it.  Tempest Jewel owns Tempestuous which is as far away from people getting warm over a burning barrel.  He shop is all bling, bridal and rich.  However since I grabbed myself a couple of items from there I will do a little bit more about her shop soon.
