Free To Pose

Headed over to the latest round of PosEvent and found this cool caravan is the new group gift! The group is free to join, then just slap the gift box thats by the landing point – et voila. Its by X-Clusives and is packed with female, male and couple poses plus you get a Facial animation Hud thrown in.

I actually decided to replace my old caravan with this one, its that pretty and although it’s 27Li, it meant I could remove all the décor from the old one as this is perfect as it is. So here it is in its final location, between my home and the shore line – love it ❤

New @ Dench Designs

I almost walked by this “Pared Vieja” outside Dench Designs – then I spotted it and realised it matches the brick work on my new home. So snapped it up as I had JUST the spot for it ! Pared Vieja means “old wall” and it is not only old but so beautiful. Its packed with solo, couples and friends poses.

Look closely and you will find some lovely little details in the nooks and crannies – tiny little animated birds and above a huge canopy of Bougainvillea – which I just adore. At just 9Li it wont break your prim allowance either – copy & modify $150L.

Even if you don’t blog SL most people like to take decent pictures of themselves and you just can’t do it without the decent poses.  I was using some of my Image Essential poses in my previous post and then I realised that Kay Weston has some out at the latest round of The Thrift Market which has finally died down enough for me to have a bit of a mooch around.  TBH I didn’t stay for very long because with my new skin and hair I just wanted to get some SL posing done before I have to return to woolies and jeans.

The poses I’m using in these pictures are from the Sashay pack and at this moment is only available at The Thrift Shop Event.  Although Fat packs offer you better value in the end, if you’re just after a few single poses then there are ooodles of them in her main shop.   Not only does she have a shop packed with single poses, couple poses,  fat packs, props, Gachas and on and on I think she has some of the best male poses in SL.  Even though its me hopping on and off the poses I can tell that these aren’t womens poses that have been tweaked to suit a male shape, or maybe they are but they’ve been done so well they work.  They’re subtle, simple, many and boyish.  They’re manly enough for any bulked up AV and yet also subtle enough for Baylen.  I’m just counting my blessings that our sim is in Autumn mode because there is a beach lookout chair, one of those high chairs that life guards like to pose on, which is pretty darn excellent as a prop for a summer sim.

However one of the best things about Image Essentials and Kay Western is her generosity.   She has studios packed with props and poses FREE for all to use.  Each studio is dedicated to a certain style ie male props/poses, group props/poses, family props/poses.  Then dotted over the sim are full builds for you to use at your leasure.  You can rezz your own props and poses but seriously you will probably not need to do that at all because not only has she ensured that there are as many props/poses for people to use she uses not only her own but many props/poses from basically everyone who makes them.  It goes without saying that if you do rezz something then keep the prims DOWN! and make sure to CLEAN UP!  I know that seems obvious but Faith and I know all to well that people can be such mucky people lol.  Other than that all Kay asks is that you join her, Free, group and don’t bother the wild life.  This generosity allows everyone a chance to try to make pictures that they are proud of and show them how artistic they can be.  Also although this is an active sim and group you’re not spammed.  One of the most helpful groups and even when you’re on the sim pulling poses no one will bother you because they’re all so busying doing their own thing.  So no excuses for all the naff piccies.  Pop over, join and see what you can do.

Hopefully the LM should take you directly to the Image Essential stall at The Thrift Shop but if it doesn’t it’s easy to find as it’s right at the end of a row and right next to the row of so tempting Gachas.

PS although Kay has made all of the studios and builds free to use there are Tip Jars to pop some Lindens in or just go and buy something.  That way you get to have some handy poses to use in your own home as well as helping with the cost of the sim.

Shhh!!!

I’m not even sure how I ended up here but what a brilliant place this is for those of us who don’t have land to rezz props and poses or the funds to buy them then this is a stunning find.

Kay Weston has been amazingly generous in that she has studios set out packed with props and poses.

Not only props and poses for singles but also groups and families (and the guilty).

Each studio has a simple to use rezzer and each packed with stuff.

But check out the TP because that too is full of sky boxes set out as full scenes.

Look what I found in one of the sky box! I remember this house from a previous Halloween and sadly because of its massive prim count only someone with a sim or in this case can have one of these.  I’ve taken this at the foot of the hill and zoomed right out because this is a massive build that you can walk up the hill to and use the house for many a scary picture.

Squeezes in a last shot because not only do you have studios and sky boxes but walk out of the studio area and on the land you yet again have beautifully stages settings out for you.

So what do you have to do, apart from follow the link, to use all of this? simply join  her FREE group image Essential and start posing. However please find it in your heart to make a donation.  Although Kay has a pose and prop shop (which you can treat yourself to some of her very reasonably priced poses, and plenty of males ones) you can never count on selling enough to cover the tier fee and when someone has spent so much time, money and imagination and then allowing everyone to use it for free is pretty damned generous so if you can, and there is a message sent out every so often to remind you, make a donation.  She may never get enough donations to cover the tier fee but at least it’s a sign that you really appreciate all of this but of course this is all for everyone’s use no matter how rich or poor so don’t let lack of Lindens put you off coming here.

Poseurs Delight.

Now that I’m resigned to blogging I decided to invest in a few more “manly” poses which lead me to HISpose. Not a vast selection and no demos  but not only extremely reasonably priced but the ones that are shown with props come with the props.  If you want to try them out I would suggest taking a walk around this great looking sim.

I now own this pose and yes the horse does come included but since I don’t own a stable I thought I would be lazy and use Sixx Yangtz’s props that are already set out on this sim.  However not all the props and poses on the sim come from HISposes but they’re some of the best from the top shops in SL which means this is an amazing sim to hang out in and take some photos.  The main store which has HISposes in it also has a selection of Christmas and Halloween Decor items at bargain prices and I especially love the old fashioned Xmas cards (and a great freebie of a chainsaw/pumpkin pose).  The seasonal items belong to a Denise Rowlands and this is what her profile says.

“DERAILED is a rural town and farm land centered around a Replica of the Contention, AZ, train station.  It also has three secluded beaches, a forest, lighthouse, a mountain top storm shelter and more. Most of the landscape features have built-in poses (no pose balls).  If you’re a photographer and would like to rez a pose or prop for a photo IM Denise Rowlands for a land group invite. The sim is constantly being updated and renovated to match the seasons so please excuse any messes.”

This is such a great sim that even though I have my own to play with I’m going to ask if I can join this group and if they’ve put so much effort into creating such a stunning Autumnal setting I can’t wait for the next seasons change.

OK I have had fun with Windlight but even if you’re not into using it or your computer struggles this sim has a great environmental setting.The caravan and camp are not one of but just an example of the quality of the sim and props

High up on one of the hills is the storm hut. I’m sat inside where there is a fire and chairs but outside is a great rain effect.

There is a large house on the sim and yes I did have a look but since you must always assume that a house is a person’s home the sim maybe open to all but out of respect the house is not.  Really nice outdoor fireplace though.  You can also see one of the waterfalls of which I think there is at least 2 of them and yet again full of poses.

From dense woodlands to beaches a great sim to visit but make sure to check out the poses.  Not a vast selection(at the moment) but some really good ones, I got the pony one and also one with a draped towels and more than happy with not only the poses but the price.
