Jack is Depraved

It seems that every time I head down to Shiki, not only do I find some great gear, but I also find out about new hunts happening around the grid. Today was no different as I discovered the Jack or Jill Hunt. Brought to you by Depraved Nation, Jack or Jill is a ‘split path’ hunt with 50 stores for women as well as 50 stores for men and it’s looking very, very good indeed.

The outfit I’m wearing above is Shiki’s entry into Jack or Jill and is called the Nakano Style outfit which features the sweater and pants that you can see above. The sweater comes in a great pink colour and the texture is awesome, thick and warm looking. The cuffs, neck and sweater bottom attachments that come along with it all fit really easily, as do the cuffs for the pants.

After scooping up the Shiki gift, I checked out who else was in the hunt and once I saw MADesigns was in it, I rushed over there to find their gift which is the hair I’m wearing in the above pictures. ‘Jesse’ is a super-funky spiky ‘do that must be a pretty recent release as I hadn’t come across it before. It looks brilliant in the light brown colour and you also get the light brown hairbase to wear with it along with a pair of ‘The Happening’ eyes in moss.

So there you have it, a couple of great gifts from what looks to be a super hunt that will be going on all this month. Plenty of stuff for both guys and girls and well worth checking out. I know I’ll be snooping around for some more gifts soon. If you want the full lists, hints and what have you, you can take a look here: http://depravednation.com/jack-or-jill

Depraved Nerd

I was wandering around tonight and came across Nerd Project, a store  I hadn’t visited for a while and I found a new release: this awesome ‘Big Turtleneck Sweater’. I love these big, chunky sweaters, the texture on this is fantastic and so warm-looking I’d be waiting a fair few months to wear this if it were in real life. The sculpted attachments for the sleeves, collar and bottom of the sweater are really cool and fit pretty well and there’s also a female version of the hem so it’s unisex as well. It comes in four super colours and is a bargain for only L$135. There are a lot of cool clothes and a few gacha machines down there, well worth a look.

The hair I’m wearing in this picture is MADesign’s A Depraved and Desolate Winter hunt gift and is called Logan and as you can see it is pretty funky. I like it a lot, it’s something different to my usual hairstyles and the black and brown colour is brilliant. For more info on the hunt (which finishes on the 15th of this month) you can take a look here: http://depravednation.com/a-depraved-desolate-winter.

Hunt Them Down

Happy Friday everyone! I’ve still been ‘On the Hunt’ and managed to find a couple more items from it that I thought you ought to see.

The hair you can see me wearing above is from the good folk at MADesigns and is called ‘Sam’ in dark blonde. I usually leave the blondeness to Faith but who can pass up a hunt gift from MADesigns no matter the colour. It’s a great, stylish ‘do and I like it a lot. They have also included one of their new female couture hairs in the gift called Selita so you ladies have something to find too.

The black outfit is from [TK] Designs, another cool new store for me. You get the black satin shirt and leather pants in this gift and both look super. The satin shirt comes with an easy to wear collar and the leather pants have wickedly realistic creases in them.

So there you are, another couple of tremendous hunt gifts for your Friday that you should definitely track down. You’re looking for a magnifying glass for ‘On the Hunt’ and neither store should cause you too much stress in finding them.

Hair Fair

All the time I’ve been in SL and I have never visited a Hair Fair. Can you imagine that? Well this year I decided to change that and I went down there yesterday, albeit it wasn’t a long, leisurely stroll around the place (not yet anyway) and I was stripped down to the bare essentials, but I did go.

Once I got there, I carried my bald little self over to the MADesigns stall and picked up the two new styles you can see above: Aesop (first picture) and Cristian (second picture). They are both very different from one another with Aesop being fluffy and full and just lovely while Cristian has wicked curls all over the place. Both are, of course, very stylish and look brilliant (and they are unisex too, girls!).

I couldn’t very well leave the stall without snapping up the free Goodie Bag that was on offer, could I? It’s full of awesomeness, including two hairstyles: Jude and the too cool Luz mohawk which I’m wearing above, two pairs of eyes and two tintable hairbases which I just love (I’ve also got one of each of those on in this pic).

Aesop and Cristian will cost you L$300 each but they are well worth it. Not just because they are fantastic hairstyles, but because part of the proceeds goes to Wigs for Kids, a very worthy charity organisation.

Head on down to the Hair Fair and check out some of the wonderful designers on show. Just remember, it might be a good idea to go as bare as you possibly can to help not only your experience there, but everyone elses as well.

More MENstuff

I told you all I’d be back with more gear from the MENstuff Hunt and here I be. I managed to track down a few more items from some awesome stores to show you today and first on the list is the gift from Alphamale.

Their entry into the hunt is the ‘Preppy V-neck’ which features the super-awesome sweater and shirt combo you can see above. It comes with sculpted sleeves and collar with the tie built-in, they fit me perfect but they are resizeable via script should you need it.

Second on the list was this outfit from Connors, featuring two of their new releases: the Polo Shirt and Summer Pants. I must admit to being a little bit worried when I saw it was the polo because I’d not long bought one but thankfully not in this brilliant summer yellow colour. It comes with the sculpted sleeves, collar and the bottom to the shirt which are all really well made and fit easily. The Summer Pants are denim and fantastic with coloured stripes along the waistband and bottom of the sculpted cuffs. Both the polo shirt and pants come on multiple layers so you can play with this and it each piece works just as well individually as when you put it all together.

The above sneakers are Adjunct’s gift and they are awesome. Called the Night Walkers, they are beautifully made in their purple, white and black glory. I’m not normally a big sneaker wearer but these I like! They are resizeable via a script and you can also change the texture on the laces and there are a huge number to choose from, you gotta love options.

NSD are giving away this wicked ‘Devils Eye’ top for the MENstuff Hunt. Featuring a deep scooped neck and pitchfork design, I’m a big fan of this. It also comes on every layer you could possible think of plus a white version of the shirt to boot! Simple but fabulous and versatile, this top has such a cool look to it.

I’ve mentioned before in these pages how much I love Shiki’s hawaiian shirts so imagine my happiness when I opened my MENstuff gift from there to find another. This one is called Oahu Tropics. Just take a look at the colours and the design on this, it’s absolutely gorgeous. It comes on all top layers and you also get the collar and buttoned and strapped sleeves that fit wonderfully and make this shirt just perfect.

With the exception of the Shiki picture, all the poses I’ve used are part of the hunt gift from Stakey, which is rapidly becoming one of my favourite pose stores, called the ‘Swag’ set. The hair I’m wearing in these pictures is the second style you get from MADesigns, the sweet shaggy mohawk ‘do I mentioned the other day: Gili.

This is looking like one of the best hunts I’ve ever  taken part in. As you can see,the quality of the gifts are amazing and I’m definitely not done with it yet.

Zombify Me

I told you there were hunts galore going on at the moment. Another one of these is the Zombie Popcorn Hunt which is running from the 1st of this month until the 15th. There are a lot of cool, different items to be snapped up in this hunt and I’ve got a couple to show you here.

The hair I’m wearing in the above picture is MADesigns entry into this hunt and is called Izaak, an awesome flouncy kind of style. The colour is called ‘club black I’, which isn’t a shade I’d seen from there before but I was loving it in no time.

The tattoo is from Para Designs, a store I hadn’t visited in a long while and I was definitely glad to go back. It’s called ‘Loyalty’ and comes on every layer you could want for a tattoo and comes in two different styles, the non-coloured version which I’m wearing as well as a coloured style. Both versions come with different shades: light, dark and medium. This is definitely a tattoo that will suit almost any mood you might be in.

MENstuff Hunt

Oh yes indeedy, it is that time again: the time when males across the grid get all excited. Of course, I’m talking about the one and only MENstuff Hunt. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get in amongst it as soon as it started but swaffette Firefly of SF Design was nice enough to give me a look at her gift.

Her entry into this hunt is this awesome outfit that consists of the ‘check shirt’ and three-quarter jeans and leather belt. The pants come in three different colours: black, blue and faded. Wicked denim texture on these with great details around the pockets and button-fly. They also include sculpted cuffs which fit wonderfully right out of the box.

I always love a good check shirt like this one. The colours are very cool and go perfectly with all three pairs of the jeans and it looks equally good worn out or tucked in. The sculpted cuffs and collar come with the usual scripted as well as non scripted versions; the whole outfit is just so easy to wear. The belt that just finishes it all off comes in a huge array of different sizes, including that ‘less hips’ version that I love because belts and I don’t generally get along too well when it comes to fitting.

The hair that you can see in these pictures is one of the styles you get in MADesigns gift pack for the MENstuff hunt and is called ‘Sam’ in copper. As you’d expect, it’s a sweet looking, stylish ‘do and the colour is simply fantastic. This gift also comes with the super-cool shaggy mohawk called ‘Gili’ in dark brown.

I’ll be back soon with more goodies from this super hunt to show you, but for a full list of the stores involved as well as their SLurls and hints, you can take a look here: http://stuff-sl.com/menstuff/menstuff-hunt/hints-slurls/

Don’t forget to join the MENstuff group and wear your tag when you’re out hunting as you may need it for some of the gifts.

**UPDATE**
I just found out that there was a little mishap in regards to SF Design’s MENstuff Hunt gift. It turns out that the dark blue and faded versions of the three-quarter jeans are not part of the pack, just the black ones. But I still think that this gift is still packed with awesomeness.
