$5L Find and a Treat

Le’La Design is always great to find a bargain so I went over to see what deals were on yesterday. Gravitated up to the second floor where the group gifts are. The group costs $100L to join and as Id already been a bit spendy this week, I decided not to sign up. Howeverrrrrr…

…at either end of the group gifts are more gifts for an array of groups. I joined one called MLM frees & offers for just $5L and managed to get this pretty dress which is actually a fatpack of colours & patterns. Perfect for an evening occasion or with the summery patterns a day at the beach or bar.

Above is the Hud which has a few colours and some sweet patterns.

View of the back of the dress reveals this cute cut out feature. You might just notice my armlets from Evado, you get left & right plus a Hud which allows you to change the colours of the butterflies from orange to blue or a mixture. Plus six metal colours for the band. These cost me just $70L and can be found as part of this week SOS sale.

Free & Pretty

I headed to Cynful at the weekend to check out their Happy Weekend Sale items – never been there before and was pleasantly surprised by the store. The group is free to join so I scoped around and found over to the right hand side as you enter some fabbo group gifts. This dress was one of them, comes in red or gold and has a Hud with which you can fiddle about with the sparkles and glow etc.

I’m a bit picky about necklaces and usually only shop at a handful of stores for them. I don’t want to have to play around with necklaces endlessly trying to get the right fit – I want it right out of the box onto my neck! Was chuffed to find all the necklaces are fitted for various mesh bodies yay! Also all came with a Hud for heaps of colours and chain tones – brilliant. I know its hard to see them clearly in these photos (as I just looked ODD really close up ) but they are quality items.

Oh Finally !

I’ve been in Second Life for over a decade and one of the things that has always driven my crazy? Necklaces ! Yes I know , seems ridiculous.. but I have never, ever been able to get a good fit on them. Chokers yes – dead simple but necklaces – nope. They either stick out, wont lay flat, vanish into my shoulders,neck or chest. As for long ones – forget it ! Then, along came AvaWay – I was mooching in their store the other day and noticed that a few of the items were designed especially for the Maitreya body – intrigued I bought the one above. Voila! It fitted perfectly, no resizing, no rotating, tilting, dragging about – it fitted , right out of the box.

What is especially lovely is that some of the designs give you a choice of wearing all the strands, 1, 2 or all – so essentially you get several different looks in one piece.

After that initial purchase I did return and bought up almost ALL of the Maitreya rigged items. I even found a belly chain (heavens I’ve really struggled to fit those in the past!) There are also rings, bracelets and more ! Do make sure that you check the item you like is one of those that’s rigged for Maitreya, not all are.

Woah I’ve just got back from the Redeux event which is celebrating it’s their second anniversary which means GIFTS for ALL….actually this event is one of the more generous gift giving events there is and this adorable soap set is one of the freebies.

I’ll let you into a RL secret, I used to be a soap maker and although I love what I do now I am missing the creativeness of soaping and this little set and those sticks of soap OMG! I swear part of me is staring at this picture and thinking “yes you can” the other part is remembering I now have sensitivity from working with EOs (Essential oils) and my sense of smell was being damaged by all the fragrance sniffing.

Anyhow, I’m using this simple gift just to let you know that there is not only a SH*T load of gifts but so many discounts and offers and of course the Gacha’s in the middle of this event and I’ve spent all my money! Now I have an internal debate as to whether I remain poor for the rest of the month or buy more Lds!

This event is over on the 21st.  Grab everything then plonk yourself somewhere where you won’t be bothered and slowly but surely unpack all the goodies, bin the ones you won’t use and stash away the keepers and I promise you by the end of it you will be totally chilled.  I am heading to my platform and doing just that and if I come across something which has as much wow factor, for me, as this soap set I might just tack it on to this post.

UPDATE. Oooo not disappointed at all, I’m having to log off SL and I’ve only unpacked about 8 boxes and found a fab top, a very interesting dress, bento lipstick ao, a rabbit outfit, cushions, jewellery inc facial one, some quality shelves and a pair of glasses which are as wearable as the pair I’ve just blogged.  I’m looking forward to when I have more free time to finish unpacking the rest.

Oh my gosh ! I ❤ these sunglasses by Luminesse ! The new round of The Creative Spark begins on the 15th of this month – so you’re gonna have to wait to get your paws on them. The theme of this round is “Impractical” and these really really really are ! Ha – what brilliant thinking , love it. Soooo the details – well sun glasses of course, but oh no not your every day kinda ones, these are covered in SO many jewels – you will dazzle and shine everywhere you go. Lots of options via the menu for resizing, glow, shine etc etc – I had a good play with it all and decided to go with “no full bright” and a little teeny weeny bit of “glow” – your mileage may vary but set them up as you please. Shi, she of the great heads up, told me that at Swallow you not only get a whole load of gifts but also inc is a 250Ld Gift Card! and all of that for just the initial 40Lds joining fee so I hauled ass and as it happens I remember this shop and I remember blogging this dress and it’s still as good as when I first blogged it.  Lots of fits and a colour hud.

Out of all the jewellery gifts, this ring was the only one I picked up and I think you can see why and this was also the only pose I could find to show it off lol.

I’m not showing you much of the dress because I just want you to go and see for yourself whats on offer because there is a really nice mix of stuff…..and don’t forget the Gift Card so once you’ve grabbed the GG’s you can have a look around the shop and treat yourself to even more.
