A Century of Mania

Monday Mania reaches the big 1-0-0 today and to celebrate, designers are putting out a special gift in stores for a week. Gifts like these classic sunglasses from SF Design. These are very funky glasses, dark lenses and a cool-looking frame that is also colour-changeable with eight different tones to choose from. I’m of the opinion that you can’t have too many pairs of sunglasses and these are very worth picking up.

Now onto SF Design’s regular Monday Mania release: the black blazer. I think this is a very versatile blazer, striking a good balance between casual and formal. You get two versions of this blazer today, the one that I’m wearing in the above picture and the other has white piping around the bottom. Both, of course, look brilliant. The details are fantastic, especially the buttons on the sculpted cuffs and the collar and lapels are resizeable via script should you need to resize them. There are also two sizes of the flexi jacket bottom for each version of the blazer.

For L$25 you can’t go wrong running down and grabbing this coat at all. Just remember, you can only get this at the special price for today only from the Monday Mania board near the entrance of the casual men’s section of SF Design and the classic sunglasses will be available all week. Oh and before I forget there is a version of this blazer for you ladies to grab as well, so head on down and check it all out.

-SG- So Good

I’ve been looking through the marketplace again and came across a  store I hadn’t heard of in a long while -SG-. I don’t think I’d been in SL all that long when I first visited them and I’ve always liked their gear so I was very happy to see that everything they have on the marketplace is only L$10!

Above is their Tokyo coat in black and white which is absolutely gorgeous. I love the leather texture and the white fur around the cuffs and collar (all of white fit perfectly by the way). This coat also includes the white tanktop I’m wearing underneath and also comes with cuffs for a short sleeve look but I liked the way the fur hung over my hands so I stuck with the long version.

I was loving the look of their coats so I grabbed the Dublin coat in beige while I was there. It’s another great looking jacket with furry trim and the belt around the middle looks super as well. I did have to tint the cuffs and bottom of the coat a little bit to match the colour perfectly but it wasn’t too much off really.

-SG- also have this brilliant and warm Stockholm Sweater. Check out the texture on that, it looks so thick, you can tell you won’t feel the cold wearing this. It features wonderfully fitting collar and cuffs and also comes on multiple layers.

There is a feast of items available in the -SG- marketplace store for both guys and girls and like I said, they are all L$10. You definitely should click on over to it and grab some awesomeness from the comfort of your own home.

Bundle up

We are currently in the midst of one of the coolest starts to Summer in a long, long time here in my part of Australia (and you better believe I’m loving it!) so I thought I’d bundle up in some warm gear from the Men Only Hunt and give you all a look.

First up is this gorgeous tweed suit from Gabriel. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you’ll know I rarely pass up a chance to grab a gift from Gabriel, it’s an awesome store and this outfit doesn’t disappoint at all. It comes with the jacket, pants and a very casual tank top to wear underneath just in case it warms up plus you also get the black stole which is very easy to fit like all the attachments that come with this suit.

Another gift and another full outfit, how awesome! Lotus Noir is another store that’s new to me but definitely worth checking out. Their gift is the Turtle Duffle coat, splash shirt and jeans. The coat is a very dark green, comes with cuffs, collar and bottom section of the coat, all of which fit perfectly and looks brilliant with the grey top and jeans. The shirt also comes with a turtle neck collar if you wish to wear it but I went without it for this picture here.

Last but not least is the casual wool coat from -Quarantine-. As you can see there are definitely some fantastic winter coats to be had in this hunt. I love the texture on this, it just looks so warm. It comes with sculpted collar and bottom for the coat, both of which can be resized via a script plus sculpted cuffs which you can resize the old-fashioned way should you need to.

So there you have a few more items from this hunt that should keep you warm until I return with some more. Go out and get ’em!

Men Only

Another hunt for us guys has begun, hooray! It’s called the Men Only Hunt and started on the 1st of December and will continue until the 17th. There are many, many awesome gifts to be picked up in this hunt and because missqwerty Pevensey, the organiser of this hunt, was so generous, I have lots and lots to show you quicker than I normally would. To be honest though, I was too excited to take pictures of everything so I have a few things to show you right now.

In the picture above I’m wearing the gift from American Bazaar which includes the black blazer and jeans. I love my blazers and this is a super one that features sculpted cuffs, collar and bottom to the jacket that fit all too easily. Worn casual or more formally, this blazer fits the bill and looks brilliant. The jeans are cool too with a great faded texture and cuffs that I didn’t have to edit at all. Under the blazer I wore the Ju Sweater which is [NV]s hunt gift. As you can see it looks fantastic worn under a jacket but looks even better by itself (see below).

I’m absolutely loving the sculpted bottom for this Ju sweater, the colours are gorgeous. It comes on multiple layers and has sculpted sleeves and collar (which I chose to go without for this picture).

The skin I’m wearing in all these pictures is Belleza’s entry into the Men Only Hunt which is as terrific as you’d expect. I haven’t seen Belleza in too many hunts that I’ve done before so this was a definite must-have. Superb details and look with the hip facial hair included, this is lovely skin and one I’ll be wearing long after the hunt is finished. The ‘Follow This Line’ tattoo I’ve got inked on here is from [DIAMOND], a store I haven’t been to before but one I’ll be checking back with as I always enjoy expanding my tattoo collection.

Last but not least we have this outfit from Be Happy! Another store I haven’t paid a visit to and really, this is one of the best reason to do a hunt, getting an excuse to sample stuff from places you might never normally find. Their gift is called, fittingly enough, the Hunter Outfit and comes with the jacket and jeans you see. I love the jacket with its wicked snakeskin like texture and rounded collar and the jeans aren’t too shabby either, I think the colour of them rocks. The poses I’ve used in all the pictures are also a hunt gift from Art Body Store and definitely came in handy.

So there you have the first little taste of some super hunt gifts. I’ll have more for you in the coming days but you should so get started on this, it looks like a good ‘un. A screwdriver is what you’ll need to find to nab these.

Mean Motor Scooters

Faith and I are lucky ducks indeed after Tesa Carrasco got in contact with us and dropped us some her hot off the presses gear. I got the Biker Set in red while Faith got herself a capri set in pink (of course).

Both look super fantastic. The guy’s biker set features the jacket and striped shirt combo (which all come together on one layer) and the jeans. As good as the jacket and shirt looks, the jeans have to be my favourite part of this outfit as they have an awesome colour and the denim has a brilliant distressed look to it. You also get a pair of rolled cuffs for these jeans as well as cuffs, collar and lapel for the jacket, none of which I had to edit at all, I just wore them straight out of the box and they fit!

Faith’s outfit is gorgeous with her cool, tight black capris and pink and black top. Both have great designs and looks to them (I’m liking the little gaps in the capris running down the front), it’s a very simple outfit yet you have to admit she looks amazing in it.

As always with Tesa’s clothing they are amazingly affordable and I like these new items very much, especially since she told me that her new releases are half-price for the first week of them being out (which ends on the 26th I think). You definitely should run on down and check them out as well as her other gear, she always has something cool on offer. Thanks Tesa!

Santo Claus

No, that title is not a typo. Santo is a store that’s new to me, Faith dropped me the landmark and said I should check it out and so I did. What I found when I arrived was a veritable Santa-sack full of free goodies. I picked out a couple to show you.

The first of these is this awesome camo field jacket. It features the grey t-shirt you can see underneath and the camo pattern is superb. This jacket comes with sculpted cuffs, jacket bottom and hood. All these attachments fit really well and even though I’m generally not a fan of hoods, this one looks very cool.

I also picked up these unlaced Chucks while I was there and they are lovely. You get a pair for both guys and girls in the pack, I chose the black pair for today but there are other colours you can pick up as well. The shoes are resize scripted and didn’t need much in the way of editing at all.

As I mentioned, there are many more wicked freebies to pick up while you’re there plus some cool looking skins to purchase. It’s definitely a place to visit.

Grasp This

The +grasp+ group has reached the lofty heights of 10,000 members and if you’re quick, you can join in the celebrations by catching the last couple of days of the 40% off sale they are having (sorry I was a little late on the uptake).

There are some brilliant items to be snapped up here at amazing prices. +grasp+ has a great range of grungey clothing for both guys and girls. I picked up a couple of bits and pieces while I was there, of course. In the above picture you can see the Cargo Jacket which I just had to have. I was ever so tempted to get it in the camo colour but in the end I went with brown and it rocks. There are some amazing details on the attachments and they all fit so easily. Honestly, I had to do very little editing to get this jacket just right for me.

The other item I picked up is one of the über cool Ripped Shirts in black and grey. I love the rough look of this and once again I was tossing up which colour and design to get as they all looked great. It comes on all layers and features well-fitting sculpted sleeves to top it all off.

The 40% off sale at +grasp+ concludes on the 31st of this month so you should definitely run on down while the savings are hot. The sale does not include their new releases however. You should also take a look at the group gifts while you’re down there and pick some of them up, but the group does carry a L$50 joining fee (that’s well worth it, trust me). Congrats +grasp+!
