It’s a HUMPDAY! (Mention of Freebies & Stunning Rentals).

RL STINKS WORSE THAN MY SPORT SOCKS! (Seriously it’s not that bad just lots of niggly things but God knows I love a good moan lol).

It’s continued over into SL as I’ve tried on a New Mina demo and it’s OMG I NEED IT but as yet the non-demo version isn’t even out for us bloggers! Then I went and plonked myself in front of a whole load of Lucky Boards with some damned decent prizes, checked that no one was there with my initial as I will not click on a Lucky Board and take a prize from someone else who would probably appreciate it more and nope no one with my initial so when my “Z” came up I clicked and didn’t get the item sent to me.

Then I started mooching and found a stunning rental sim.

Wowser! This is a rental, ONLY 500Ld a week with a massive 424 prim allowance, I’m assuming that prim allowance doesn’t include all the outside clutter.  Inside is empty so you can to rezz your own furniture but it’s such a cosy little nook you could probably stuff it with furniture and still have prims for a boat or two outside.

I’ve just pointed and clicked and used the sims windlight setting but can you imagine how even nicer this place will be if you wanted to play with the windlight setting you could ramp up the Oomph of this place.

I spotted a massive castle which the rent is now overdue and since it’s empty then I suspect the renter won’t be returning so you could finally be the “King of your very own SL castle” and lord it over the rest of the sim.  This is a top-quality build and although it will be a lot more expensive than this lowly beach shack if the prim allowance is as generous then you will be paying a fair price.

It’s a standard rental system, you will see the rental em board thing on the edge of your mini little island you simply click and pay.  There doesn’t seem to be a rental office but in one of the sim owners profile is the link to their blog and from there you can see all the vacant rentals over their 4 sims.

I’ve logged out now as I really have to do some RL ass-kicking but when I log back inworld I’m going to have a mug of coffee and a clear conscience so I can have a really good look around all 4 sims even if it’s just to LM places for use as backdrops and I think that there is also a smattering of shops on these sims, it was a shop that brought me to this sim in the first place, but they are as blended into the sim as much as the private homes.

I almost forgot the Lucky Boards lol.  You’ve probably already know the shop, Mangual as I recognise the subscribers gifts as having being previously blogged.  There are a lot of Lucky Boards and you don’t need to join a group to win a prize.

Renting a home in Second life – Its all Sunshineacid

Rental Home 250L per week Furnished (plus a few prims)

Its been a few weeks since my last exploration of the rental home market, and as I was feeling particularly lazy I looked for furnished accommodation. Look what I found ! Actually I found this same home in a different location but it had just been rented so I lucked out – or so I thought. Luckily for me the owner contacted me and offered to put up an identical home . I know what work that is, even for a small home – but it was done in an hour and I was ready to rock up and enjoy my new place. I cant believe this build by Trompe Loeil – “Shipping Crate Studio Wood” passed me by, it’s totally lovely and cozy. So, the deal is $350L per week, with 25 prims FULLY furnished. I was pleased with the level of decor, infact I went straight out and bought the sweet bed by tarte for myself after sampling its delights. The whole sim is gorgeously decorated, I didn’t feel out of place mooching about. Theres bridges to pause by and some really terrific trees and landscaping. If you’re into photography its a great place to be.

Rental Home 250L per week Bedroom

Here is my bedroom, ever so snuggly and peaceful, the aforementioned bed (comes in a blue pattern also) and various posters and drapes add a delicious shabby ambience . There are heaps of other homes for rent, bigger and around the $500L per week mark. However, this one suited me and my budget down to the ground. You land in a small office that displays the homes up for grabs, just touch the picture of the one you’re interested in and it will plonk a landmark in your inventory to go visit – simple. If you like it, pay the rent box and contact Claire Bricklin for a group tag. (Theres a few other names listed on the notecard you get after renting to get a group tag also)

Lounger in the main space , apologies about the fuzziness on the pillows, SL was hating on me when I took the photo ! I’ve visited at various times of day and night, and it always seems to be running perfectly with no Lag and quiet neighbours. Customer Service is BRILLIANT, I couldn’t ask for more help and I was made to feel at home, really lovely.

Renting a Home in Secondlife (Part 5)

Aabye 37L per week rental home 1

I was really beginning to give up hope of finding a home to review. I’ve been dumped in forests, under buildings and left in the middle of a sim with nothing to tell me where to go see a home. *le sigh*. On my 50th teleport I finally found something ! This is Aabye rentals, and amazingly this sky home is just 37 L per week (paid monthly) Its got a lot going for it to be honest, and I’m not a big fan of these “boxy” style places, but even I warmed to it. Its spacious and almost everrrrrything in it is texture change. Youre not lumbered with what you’re given, love that. I fiddled about a bit, changed the wall colour and pattern, the lounge set is all colour & pattern change too, even the bed has a lot of choice of linen shades! The kitchen is a little out of proportion – unless you’re Amazonian woman – but its great fun, you can alter the wood of it and the counter tops, plus its got animations for cooking, baking, washing up, the fridge even hands out food & drinks. If you touch the window you get a choice of scenes to look out upon – nice touch. The rules are simple – you get a zero prim allowance, so you cant rez anything out permanently, but you can place shopping to open and then remove it. My group invite arrived within seconds, which was lovely. It would make a great base or romantic hideaway – the bed has a REALLY FULL menu *wink*, there’s also a dance system. Brilliant value all round.

Slink Physique & 37L per week rental home

Had to get a vanity shot in, the new corset that Player bought me from Blacklace awwww and also my newwww mesh Slink Physique body ! I’ve been playing around with this allll morning and I LOVE it ! Such a great price too, at 1250L it’s so affordable. Go grab a demo and try it out, worth a look. My hair is from Damsel Fly, a store Id not been to for such a long time – they sorta seemed to get stuck in a groove of what Id call more middle-aged female styles? Anyway, they’ve moved on and got into mesh, I popped over on the day of the 100L sale and snapped up a few do’s, very very pretty and modern yay!
