Go and see !

Lunar Seasonal Designs & Tylars Treasures have joined forces to create some pretty awesome items for the Home & Garden Expo ! In-fact they went a bit MAD and made heaps & heaps – so you can pretty much decorate your whole home & garden with it all. Whats really neat is that most of it is  texture change & menu driven, meaning you can fiddle with each piece to get the EXACT look you want. The two items I fell in love with are the Tea House and the Buddha Garden – shown above. I’ve used them together but they are indeed separates and work equally well as stand alone pieces.

Inside I’ve set up all the “Washi” furniture which is also on sale at the Expo. I’m new to Tylars Treasures so was surprised at the extensive menu of poses and “sequences” in the menu (adult things oh la la!) Sequences are like a scene really, you move seamlessly from one animation to another – really cool for keeping the mood going!

This display cabinet is just gorgeous and you can alter the textures of most parts simply by touching the menu – even the decor items inside the case!

The Buddha garden is exquisite , love the little pool with bird that sings, great range of poses for the benches and meditation. This would really beautify a place in your garden and give you a place to relax in alone or with friends.

Theres always food involve right?! The Washi table seats four people for sushi, tea etc. Animations for serving, eating & drinking – plus of course you can alter all the fabrics and wood colours. My sweet kimono is actually a dollarbie btw – from CL Love, simple to wear and a real steal!

The bench and attached bamboo screen is by Lunar Seasonal Designs – I really like how you can add movement to the bamboo and of course plenty of colour options for both the foliage, bench wood and cushions.

Last up is this reflection pond by Tylars Treasures, low prim and easy to place. Heaps of poses, dances, cuddles and singleton animations built right in. There is positively a squillion more items to see, including a gorgeous washi bed (adult) decor and garden pieces ! Everything is set up for you to play with at the Expo and now the crowds have thinned its an excellent time to browse ❤

Home & Garden Expo – The little details

HGE R(S)W chair - cookie tin & dragon

R(S)W  is a new-to-me store and I’m so glad I came across it in this years Home & Garden Expo – I know I will be a Secondlife long fan ! This is what I so enjoy about this Expo, every single year I find something new, or should I say someone new (well new to me anyway). I’ve been guilty of focusing on the grand things sometimes, and overlooking sometimes the most beautiful items. Take this chair for example. Its simply gorgeous, superbly crafted a real homely piece with such sweet details. The more I looked at it, the more I adored it. Of course its got an abundance of sit poses and amazingly comes in at 1 prim, that made my miserly heart very happy indeed. Did you see the dragon? Such a tiny piece, yet intricate and a wealth of detail – it doesn’t DO anything – it doesn’t have too, it just sits there looking dragon’ish ! My favourite thing this year is the cookie jar pictured above, a vintage scene on the tin which is utterly adorable, touch it and it offers you a choice of six cookies – take one and it asks permission to attach to your hand, youre animated to munch away on it – until- POOF- Its gone…fantastic ! I popped over to Robin Sojourner’s store and ohmaiii I better get some cash in because there are SO many thingsssss I want ! The store has some sooper items, including quilts, low prim coolers with poses that dispense snacks and more – visit at the Expo but don’t forget to take a peek at the store too.

Home & Garden Expo – part omg I forget !

HGE Circa NEW!

I’ve been shifting through more boxes to bring you some goodies from the HGE. I was blown away by this simple yet elegant “Bombay” hall table , mirror and vase collection by Circa – two wood colours to choose from cocoa or walnut . In all the homes I’ve lived in over the last 7 years in SecondLife, I’ve always been a bit stumped about what to use in the hallways. You need something or they look too barren and empty. Nothing heavy or big, or it looks cramped. Check this out, its perfect. Bringing with it a touch of style, simple hall table that will fit snugly against a wall, almost deco shaped handles, a lovely golden hued vase with Lillies in (my favourite flower of ALL time btw) Behind is a very intricately carved round mirror. Id actually LOVE this in my real life home – uhm if it wasn’t for the dog toys, wellie boots and other assorted junk that’s already calling that space a home *cringe*. Thanks Cherelle ❤ For the curious my gorgeous new coat is by JunBug – I got in a fifty linden Friday offer a couple of weeks ago, its called  “Vintage Manteau in Night” and comes in loads of other tones – but this was the 50L offer so its what I snapped up !

Home & Garden Expo – Dutchie !

HGE Dutchie writers desk NEW

Dutchie is at The Home & Garden Expo – and I’ve got something a bit special to show you from their new stuffage that’s for sale there. This is the writing desk and it’s really neat and versatile. Coming in at only 8 prims for the whole thing, materials ready and 100% mesh – yum. The nifty thing is not only can you choose from two different colours in the menu, its got heaps of rezzing props for the desk itself andddd that add to you. Its asks permission to attach objects (sometimes hidden under the menu so make sure you look!) In many of the poses you’re either wearing a pen, a glass of wine and even a scrunched up ball of paper that you throw away. Its comes in PG and adult versions, The pg version has 19 solo animations plus one sequence which is totally cool !

If you’ve got a modern home and want a bit more of  a high-tech style, this little gem has it, you can go from pen & paper to desk top computer in a flash. I’ve placed this in our “holiday home” that has views of Paris from the apartment windows – it looks absolutely perfect. Thanks Froukje ❤

Home & Garden Expo part quatre

HGE Glas Houses - Veronika prefab

I had the pleasure of taking a look at some of the new builds by Sandi Glas, the one above is “Veronika” and its my favourite ! Veronika is a large and spacious bungalow type home. A huge lounge area with bricked wall one end which is perfect for placing a fire against. Some lovely features with working blinds (open, closed and a little of both) The front is very traditional with flower beds all ready to plant up and a rear patio area that’s large enough to take furniture and plants. It feel so homely and cozy inside, beautiful cream doors fitted throughout.

HGE Veronika home - Loks plants

I found the patio of the Veronika home ideal for the Lok planters, which I totally fell in love with as they are almost identical to the one in my real life garden. Pumpkin patches for seasonal colour above . Free bucket & mop from [DDD] btw.

HGE Veronika home Lok's

Some vibrant daisies in a quadrant shaped pallet  which stole my heart right away (yes I’m a sucker for pretty flowers)

HGE Lok's

At the front in those bedding areas I placed these vibrant sunflowers ! I adore sunflowers, they always remind me of soldiers in a row. Loks has plenty of new items to get you busy ferreting in your wallets – from plants to industrial styled bedrooms and lounges.

Home & Garden Expo part trois

HGE Culprit 1 USE

More from the Home & Garden Expo ! Today I want to share some items from Culprit with you. I saw this villa on Flickr awhile ago and was super impressed. Its different and makes you want to twist and turn to see it from loads of angles . I spent ages playing with my windlight settings (and crashing because my graphics card hates me). In short if you’re looking for a unique build, or a special home – this is it. It has two levels, the ground floor is open, with arches leading to covered areas. On the bottom floor a beautifully simple pond decorated with Lilly pads is set into the paved floor. Its got soft and gentle watery noises – nothing that will have you reaching for the volume button!

HGE Culprit Villa

Upstairs are two spacious rooms or spaces, its airy and flows nicely, I thought perhaps a bathing area and bed chamber would be a good use of the areas. Everywhere you glance is another detail, another perfectly worked texture. The choice of colour and textiles is pretty outstanding. Even the gates open with a subtle swing, yes – I did play with them, something like a poorly chosen door script would set my teeth on edge – no worries here though !

HGE Culprit collage

It was enjoyable just being in this space, as you can see I couldn’t stop snapping away. The light just works so well through the windows and archways I was ever so impressed and a little bit giddy with excitement! Culprit has quite a few new items on show, like this fabbo brass lantern. I cammed inside and was delighted to find that the awesomeness extended actually inside such a tiny space.

HGE Culprit Brown leather seat

Ohhhh just one more thing from Culprit ? You’ve got to check this out – Not only some lovely poses for lounging about, but but but it’s just so pretty. It comes in brown or sleek black leather, my favourite is the brown, it has a really “lived in” look to it, like people have rolled around on it for years. Low low low Li and deliciously stylish – what’s not to love. Thankyou Eku ❤
