Virtual Tourist – New Brighton (Plus Dollarbie)

I dont know about you but my mood has been a bit lowwww the last few days, lock down blues I’m calling it – how you doing? I decided to cheer myself along with a visit to a place that’s actually only an hour or so away from where I live in real life. Brighton oh Brighton – such a wonderful place. The Second Life version is just as much fun and a lot cheaper than real life ! My land mark should drop you right on the beach alongside the famous pier. From there you can stroll along to all the attractions.

Grab yourself a bike from the many and assorted rez points, find yourself a snack or three and just enjoy the view. Cycle up the hill and you’ll find a picnic spot and a handy zip line to whizz down to the beach again.

Have a walk along the pier itself, its very traditional with lots of silliness to be had. From what I can see there are at times shows put on in the theatre at the end of the pier – id really really love to see one, actually Im going to head back, join the group and see if any come up in the notices – I’ll let you know ! The outfit for today’s trip is this jumpsuit by sYs , its just $1L – mesh body fits only. I liked it so much I bought the PINK one also, some colours are a dollarbie, some $10L.

I was really surprised to see some of the huge town houses on the very beach front are up for grabs as rentals ! Healthy prim allowance and I think $800 per week. If that’s a bit rich for your budget but you’d like to be in Brighton, look around the corner and you’ll find some sweet beach huts on the sand for just $300L per week. (Look I’m riding a levitating scooter – only in Brighton!!) Have a great day!

The Virtual Tourist & Weekend Deal

I think I have found my spiritual home at Overlook Orchard ! Oh my days it is entirely beautiful & photogenic. It also seems quite popular, although there were a few people milling around there were still plenty of spots to relax in. This place is stuffed with well laid out places to take photos or ponder your navel.

Little retreats built into the treeline, walkways, water falls, orchards of fruit trees and a farmers market. There is a quaint cafe, pontoons and more ! Totally lovely spot to take a break in. Oh ! Mustn’t forget to tell you about my cracking weekend deal at Ersch. This is the Yoko top, although I’m wearing it as a dress you can slip jeans or shorts under it. The bottom half of the top is, as you can see, sheer (panties are my own). There is an optional pearl layer to add if you wish and that comes with a Hud for pearl colour – nice! I actually bought two of these I liked them that much ❤ Each colour is $60L, mesh body fits only.

I spotted heaps of wildlife on my wander around the orchard – you can also grab a bird spotter note and see how many you find – I saw bears too!

Virtual Tourist – Surf

Oh this is FUN ! I visited the Home Of Surfing In SL and the SLSA – Doesn’t look very much when you arrive – but surfing doesn’t need much to have a fine time ! There is a big welcome centre along the beach, and you can pick up a mesh pair of mens surf school shorts or a women’s bikini with t shirt – top quality items and plenty of fits included. I liked it so much I’ve stored it away for later.

Once you’re all geared up, wander to the water line and check out the board rezzers. There are a few dotted around but I fancied the look of this one and wasn’t disappointed. Hope onto the board and off you go !

Its quite simple once you have had a few goes, you automatically stand when you hit the wave , then you control your movements with the arrows keys – its exhilarating ! Sorry the photo didn’t catch me at a better moment but its tricky surfing and taking photos !

Virtual Tourist – All aboard !

I really enjoy a train journey, and I’ve done this trip before many times – its so relaxing. Above is the track and station layout for the Zany Zen Railway. You can join at any station but the trains do run to a timetable, so you might need to wait for it to arrive – very realistic! The wait isnt long though and some of the stations have a little cafe, or a museum, shop to visit.

I boarded and noticed that the sit animations were new – hurrah ! Proper poses male and female, it makes me twitch when I’m sat with a poor animation – OCD much? !  Chugged along at a pleasant speed, I hopped off at each station to explore. So my journey lasted longer , very nice way to spend a morning.

There is a mixture of passenger trains and cargo trains – you can hop aboard either. The scenery is varied, there’s even a viaduct. The train noises are so comforting and the moving isn’t jerky or troublesome when crossing sims.

The stations are just adorable, dont jump when you get greeted as you arrive on the platform ! I , of course, visited the gift shop and bought a presentation lump of coal ❤ All stations listed below.
