I’ve been waiting for the gifts at Cosmopolitan to ” go live” which they now have! Cosmo is one of my fav events – great designers participating each round – I rarely walk away empty handed. Anywayyyy this round join the group (its free) then turn to the large Christmas tree and start slapping the baubles – each one contains a gift! Above is a beautiful and well crafted music box from The Black Forest – it plays loads of beautiful tunes as a chubby Santa twirls around – I have a passion for music boxes so this is a keeper for me. (2 Li)

The Creative Spark – Holiday Cheer !

New round of the Creative Spark begins today hurrah! I really loved this sweet item from Insanity’s Owns. Its called “Christmas in a bottle”, and it really is ! It’s a large size, as big as a traditional Christmas tree, there are little snow flurries inside around the tree. The Li straight outta the box is 2Li, I made mine very slightly smaller and it went to 1Li. You can get your paws on this for just $50L during the round.

I HAD to have this ! 25L Tuesday offer from Gumi’s and you get 4 versions in the box. As above and also with the gingerbread man sort of waving and curled – both versions have the swaying option so the piece sways to and fro ! As it comes its 2Li but I made mine ever-so-slightly smaller and its 1Li woohoo! Currently swinging away in my Rookery skyhome – looks so adorable ❤

Of course I was on the look out for any decor gifts at the Black Friday Bazaar event – and I found in a couple ! This sweet table top scene is from Tylars Treasures, snowy base and Santa in his sleigh checking his list, the tree sparkles and twinkles – all this for free and just 6Li

I have to confess I popped over to Laurent83 Waco shop’s Follow Us and made a little list of what I wanted and sent him my Christmas wish list only to be sent a whole shed load of goodies in reply.  So much so I’ve not even started to unpack it all, actually although it looks like I’ve gone tree mad these are what the items are delivered in.  Faith and I are of an SL age to remember when your purchases were delivered in a plain cube prim but now you get them in such great packaging.

I will be unpacking them soon because I’m so ready for Christmas in SL and RL and it’s time to “deck the halls with boughs of Holly” or in reality oodles of tacky tinsel and plastic baubles.

I’ve taken this picture in my sims setting and I think I should have waited till it was Christmas eve before I put him out in fact I might just pop him back into my invent and then bring him back out as a Christmas Eve tradition.  I adore this item and I’ve had him at least 1 year if not 2, sorry not to sure, and yes now there is a lot of similar models around but Santa, his slight and all those Reindeer and Hell no I can’t name them, all come to just 10Prims and I’ve not come across anything better for such low low prim usage.  Goes without saying that he would be just as good on a roof or even land LOL.

This year Laurent has kept with the traditional theme, old cottage table groaning with Christmas food, pine tree’s covered in tinsel and bauble’s fireplaces and socks etc and once I’ve done my unpacking I will show you but don’t wait for that just pop over and check them out in person to see how nice his stuff is.  The Christmas stuff is in the lovely house to your right when you land and if you want to grab the rest of the Group Gifts you will have to pop into the main shop for those.

I’ve put the link to his Marketplace shop and if you haven’t check out the Marketplace at all this is the time to do it.  A lot of the MP Shops allow you to send the item you’ve bought as a gift so if you want to send a pressie to someone it’s perfect and easy.  Follow Us does this and also I’m pretty sure the amount of 10Lds, 25Lds and 29Lds items have increased.  Christmas items, trays, food, Desks, chairs, decor items and on and on and again all can be sent as a gift and unless the person checks they don’t need to know that you’ve been careful with your budget LOL.

The Christmas Expo 2013

Oh…My…Lord. Can I BE any more excited about Christmas?! YES I can ! I was invited to take a mooch around this years Christmas Expo & Breedable Fair. Frankly, I was like a child in a candy shop. Strolling about, mouth open, dribbling over all the goodies and snow and decorations and animals and pets and and and and more! I paid two visits and don’t think I even saw a quarter of the four sims that are being all set up for the grand opening tomorrow. Make sure you’ve got a coupla hours to spare, cause you really really don’t want to miss a thing. SO many stores I have never been too, SO many pretties, head spin time ! For me this is the first Christmas I’ve been able to fully appreciate what creators are doing with mesh. The saving in prims is astonishing and the realism incredible. Above is the free mesh outfit from Botanica, which is right up my street in PINK . You get the boots, the outfit, plus a jaunty santa hat. I’m sitting astride the rideable Rudolph from House of Avro. Heaps of fun cause he drives like a proper vehicle, speed controls,and dust from his hooves, brilliant ! My companion on the left is “Elvis the reindeer” , he is made by Kaerri, purely for decoration but I just adored him.

In support of Relay for Life of Second Life and the American Cancer Society, the 3rd annual Expo will open on Thursday, December 5th, 2013 at 10am slt and will end at 10am slt on Sunday, December 15th! There are donation boxes scattered about if you have a few spare pennies, plus each store, and participant on the breedable sims has a “naughty or nice” box. Touch it and if you’ve been a good person you get a gift! If you’ve been naughty, you get a lump of coal . (I like coal – so there) Above is the prettiest tree I ever did see. It’s just 8 prims and just looks SO real. Stood on a wooden base, with its lights twinkling away and a smattering of gifts, its perfect. On the wall is an item I HAD to buy, it’s from Dysfunctional Designs. The wreath is just 1 Li, the wonderous thing is you can choose heaps of different colour schemes for the baubles, the wreath and the fabric ! I was also rather taken by the precious gift boxes by Kismet. Totally different from anything Id usually go for at Christmas (I’m a glittery sparkly kinda gal) but they really stood out for me. Original, more subtle and so well made. If you’re into a more traditional look, check Kismet out, totally lovely.

Another new store for me is Myrrine. I stood and just gawked at all the decorations. Shabby chic yet also sooper stylish. I’ve scattered a few bits n bobs around in my SL home and its brought a real warmth to my space that was lacking before. Natural woods, and simple colour palettes.

These boards kinda lean against a wall, artfully casual huh? Like you almost thought about nailing them up, but never got around too it ! Love it. I really fell in lust with the wall decor panel above, whats not to like, its got PINK in it.

Dont think of this as shopping only, its got a LOT more to offer. There are photo ops, a raffle & auction,a hunt and of course Live music and a chance to have a wriggle with your mates.
