Rare!

I wanted to win this…

…but I won the stooopid bunny instead (actually the bunnies are soooo cute in their little onesies but I already have my IONIC bunnies and didn’t need more).

I would have been more than happy to have won this but had to settle for that lit wall decoration instead AND THEN I WON THIS!!!

OMG I was soooo happy.  I’ve seen this bed used on sims and drooled so to actually have won one from the IONIC Gacha was a “rare” treat.

Look at the details on this, the ladder at the foot of the bed the texturing of the fabric the cords that suspends the bed it’s all CLASS.  There is plenty of poses in the bed, if I remember a few singles, couples and friends but none in the ladder.  I haven’t really had time to try out the poses properly but I did write this post sitting on one of her many chairs in her shop and the AO in the chir is natural and smooth so I have high hopes that the ones in the bed are the same.

The items above all come from lakua Arriaga’s shop ICONIC which specialises in mainly Gacha items or so I thought till I went upstairs and found that she does also have items for sale as individual pieces and this is where I found this.

Thats me curled up in my foetal position because I so want this compact mini kitchen.  It’s actually for a full-sized AV not child or petite and even though it’s small it has everything.  Stove, sink, pots, pans, cutting board and on and on and only 300Lds!!!  I’m curled up because I really can’t or shouldn’t buy it for the simple reason that it won’t match my home and since I’m so happy with my SL house I’m not in a rush to change it, but the thought did cross my mind to literally buy this kitchen and then buy a house to fit it  HOW CRAZY IS THAT!!! So I curled up and waited till the urge to click and buy passed.

Look Away Faith!

I was checking out some old LMs for a place to take some pictures and I stumbled on this absolutely simple and yet stunning rental sim.

The sim  is called Baja Norte and it’s a blogger, moocher, beach lover, renters delight.  I haven’t rented a property here because for a small fee of 250Lds you can join the Baja Norte group and not only use the stunning decor items but also rezz your own props and poses if you feel the need to.   It would be good to join as the fee which is a one off helps towards this great sim but it’s not compulsory as you are free to use the facilities even if you’re not a group member.

Obviously it goes without saying if you do decide to join the group so you can rezz poses and props to watch the prims! and OMG clean up after yourself! Faith and I used to run a very successful and enjoyable rental sim but the cleaning up of other people’s prims was a pain in the bum.

Although there is more than enough places for people just to sit and chat and chill  and so you may never need or want to rezz anything.

I had a mooch around the homes the note that is  sent out does ask you not to enter a rented property which goes without saying but there are some vacancies esp the ones on the top of the hill.  At 250 a week these are bargain prices homes and although you only get 50Prims you will just not need them at all.  The whole sim is your playground and all you need is a few prims for some personal items.

Now I’m not a 100% sure if all of the homes come furnished already I’m pretty sure this was one of the Vacant homes and this is the standard to expect, it’s all quality items.  I’ll be back and I’ll have a recheck.

All these photos were taken in the sims own Windlight setting which is subtle moody and beachy at the same time, you of course can use whatever setting you want.

As I said the reason I’m not going to rent a home here is because I’m going to join the Baja Norte group and  now since our own sim is very much Autumnal and grassy I  have somewhere to flash the flesh and surf. This is a busy sim with plenty of people wandering, sitting and probably mugging for the camera and yet it is so quiet and people are just having a relaxing and fun time.  I sat on a log with my new log and even though there was 2 male AVs near to me we just sat and did our own thing.  If I didn’t rent my own sim I’d move here  and I know fine well Faith would also in a heartbeat.

Must mention the brilliant person behind all of this because she won’t be making money from the rentals here as she’s asking for so little so basically she’s done this just for the joy of giving to people in SL.  Lauren Bentham is her name and her surname might be familiar to a lot of people because she’s the owner of Bentham Manor and more.  I can’t believe that high is the sky is a packed shop/forest/woodland/build of spooky and ethereal items to buy for your home although most things are set out in a themed setting ie a spooky woodland most of what you see is for sale but check out her Flickr link as a picture shows you much better than I can write.

Water Sports

Couple of picture rules broken here.  We don’t normally use wide pictures but I had to squeeze the lot in because how sexy is this lot of water crafts.  The boat I have blogged before but I’ll give you a brief description.  Comes from MLCC (Motor Loon Custom Cycles) and this model is called Looneta, amazing attention to details, comfortable kitchen, living room, bedroom, work desk, even a toiler and all  packed with poses, easy to use texture editing pack and all of that for a tiny 31 prims.  I’m not a boating person but since I bought this it’s been rezzed on my land and will be remaining there for as long as I have water.  If your tempted then there is a whole lot of photos of this boat on my Flickr and I’ll pop the link down on the bottom but this is a boat you have to see in SL in person to see how cool it is.

WEEEEE.  Another photo rule bent here.  Usually we like to show the items as clearly as possible but I just wanna have fun. 2 Different styles of  Jet Skis both have a menu but you have to be standing on it to operate the menu which allows you to change the speed and colour of your craft. Long gone are the days when land and water vehicles  were so unwieldly that you would spend most of your time crashing but since they come from EoD (End Of Daze) then you wouldn’t really expect them to crash and I’ve had a lovely time pottering around on them.  Perfectly proportioned, sleek, easy to handle, low prim.  Both Vs1 and V2 come with a menu choice of 6 colours, 2 sits, a choice of speed.  The Jet Skis are on the wall outside but you must pop in to check out the furniture n stuff cos it’s all great quality, slim, unfussy, well textured and attractive.

Now for the OMG factor because I tried to find a sim to ride the jet skis over to check out how well they did on sim crossing and sorry I didn’t find a suitable area to try it out but what I did find was LOADS of boating sims packed with the all the boats from Motor Loon.  Looks like I’m not the only one in love with his qualities.
