I was milling around in my SL home the other evening when a group message came through from the owner of Queenz. “Come to the front desk Ive got gift cards to give away” – I dashed over and woohoo the store owner gifted me a $1000L gift card! I was super thrilled as I had found a hunt item in this store a couple of weeks ago and absolutely LOVED the gift. First thing I did was search out the item I had hunted and bought it in a few other colours – see above. (Its upstairs and is called “Emollient” if you’re interested) One thing I would say is check the mesh bodies the items fit – it sadly looks as if this store might be dropping the Maitreya body with new releases as new items don’t feature it 😦

Once you’re in the group (its free to join atm) you then have access to a wall of superb group gifts. Now I chose a lot of the gowns to share with you as I thought perhaps you might be thinking of attending a NYE bash in Second Life? There’s loads more gifts though, chokers, heels, body suits, outfits etc. Oh! There is also a Christmas tree out at present with a load more gifts – not sure when that’s going to be removed though.

Belle of The Ball – For Free

Its not often you’re going to see me wearing a gown – that’s more Zan’s thing. But here I am flouncing around in a gown. It just really caught my eye. Designed by LUXE Paris and its totally free for you at The Free Dove. Stunning bright pink with heaps of silver thread embroidery – its divine. Standard mesh fits and mesh body fits included – sleeves are optional.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – I’m not a big gown wearer ! Occasionally however I come across one that’s just SO pretty I have to have it…and this is one of those occasions. I had a message from Sofia Originals that said to subscribe and receive the above gown. I hot footed it over, subscribed (its in front of the reception desk) et voila – this gown was sent to me! Easy Peasy and what a gift – fits inc are: Maitreya, Legacy, Perky and hourglass. My head gear is by Zibska, I bought this set called Ersa in one of the weekend sales agesss ago.

I almost missed this! (FLF Offer).

This is Junbugs FLF offer, Fifty Linden Offer, and if I hadn’t popped over to see if there was any new Group Gifts out for us, it’s a paid for group which costs 200Ld, I would have missed this as it’s not on the Seraphim blogs post of FLF offers. I suspect it was a simple case of the picture was entered too late for the blog post.

I am over the moon to get this stunning Victorian inspired ball gown!

You don’t need to be into RPing in SL to wear something like this all you need to do is swan around making everyone jealous at how good you look.

Since it’s still out you will have the next few days to try and I bet you too will love it.

The fits are limited however it fits me perfectly and I don’t think many will have issues with that, obviously try the demo out first.

“Just Because”

What a stunning gown.  I do love occasionally tarting myself up and swanning around SL like Lady Muck and not the RL greedy pig who ate a whole box of Baklava in one go…no regret.

Because most of my spending is for the sim and my home so to buy clothing it must either be something I can really use or as in this case such beautiful quality I just NEED IT and OMERGERD only 150Lds!!! In my eyes, that’s a freaking bargain.  The only struggle I had is which colour to buy so I plumped for this chocolate brown one.  You get a decent-sized hud but only to change the frills and you can wear the sleeves or not.

I know you will have either visited or are planning to visit the “Winter Shop and Hop” event and we all know of the amazing generosity with all of the free gifts but did you know that all of the shops have BIG discounts on offer?  So again this dress at this quality for only 150Lds is a STEAL!

PS.  I wish my RL could swan around like Lady Muck but sadly a blocked printer means that in about 5 mins yet again I will be wrestling and cursing printers!

Just Because@Winter Shop & Hop

Lets all go OTT! (Cheapies).

I’d meandered my way over to the Kaleidescope sim where I knew I’ve had some decent finds in the shops there and that’s how I ended up looking like this.

I’ve never noticed that in the Dreamcatcher shop it has old “paid for” hunt gifts still out for us, they’re on the wall near to the Group Gifts at the back of the shop.

There was another dress that I really liked but I think most if not all of the outfits are Maitreya only, Boo Hiss, so I ignored that and bought the 2 I knew I should be able to get to fit me.  This black one has a most interesting sheen to it and of course, tart it up for a perfect Halloween look.

I’ve not been doing any sim hopping in this dress but I suspect that sheen changes with the windlight settings.

This dress is even more OTT than the black one.

Stunning gold colour and that “hooped” effect really make this stand out.

The top dress cost me 3Lds and the bottom one 20Lds and there is a nice mix of items from undies to these 2 more dramatic gowns on the boards of old hunt items.

Everything 25Lds.

We got snow, we got snow, we got snowwwwww.  Not enough to make even a decent snowman but enough to make my heart warble.

Not free but at 25Lds for this green and a red version it’s a bargain add to that superb texturing and it’s a perfect OTT Christmassy/Winter gown.  I also actually bought the Sevil outfit, which also comes with a hairdo, and it too was worth every Linden but I didn’t take a picture.

You will have to shop for these on the Marketplace as there isn’t an inworld shop and you will also see that everything is only 25Lds.  I don’t know if the 25Ld is a temporary offer or if everything is always at that price but worth getting now not later in case it changes.  This outfit is on the first page but I’d also suggest you check the whole list of outfits before you make your mind up as there are some nice pieces and a lot seem to come with extra’s such as hair, shoes, Huds etc

This outfit does come with a bit of a disclaimer.  My AV is on the shorter side of average in SL but by no means am I a “short arse” as we say in RL but the skirt on this outfit does seem to have been made to fit an Amazonian.  I am hovering in this picture which is why you can see the red hem but when I’ve got my feet back on the ground the hem goes under the land…NOT an issue for me at all I still have no regrets.  The folding, texturing, the fits etc all make for a stunning look and of course, you can either hover and show the hem, stand on the ground and hide the hem OR of course you may find that you are the right height for the skirt.

UPDATE.

I wanted to show you the other outfit I bought for 25Lds and so I logged in and then the power to my house tripped and I crashed but I logged back in and took a quick snap just in case RL tripped me again.  Let me make this clear that this is NOT the hair that comes with this outfit,, trust me I know I’m totally spoilt with all the Mina hairs I have and the chance to wear one of the gray shades was too good to miss.

Again 25Lds and the top, which I’m keeping, and the skirts are separate and so can be worn with other items.

Damn looks like my computer crashing because of my RL power trip it looks like it’s made my SL settings go all screwy, so once I’ve updated this post, fortified myself with another cup of coffee I’m heading back inworld to reset my preferences!
