Silky Smooth

My, my, the new releases from SF Design have certainly taken me back. When I was a teenager, I was a rabid fan of silk, I had many different silk shirts and microfiber trousers (which aren’t the same but still, they had that shiny smoothness to them as well). I just loved that kind of stuff. As I got older, I wore them less but they still have a special place in my heart and in my wardrobe. So, when I got hold of the ‘Mens Silk Shirts’ from swaffette Firefly, it brought back fond memories.

These are some seriously silky shirts. Just looking at them you get the sense that they’d have that silken feel to them if you were to run your hands across them and the creases in them look fantastic as well, giving them a less flat appearance. There are four colours you can pick up in these silk shirts: Gold and light burgundy (you can see these two in the pictures above and below) as well as Sage and Blue and they look fantastic. I think the bright colours, with the gold and bright burgundy especially, add to the silky look to the material. Each shirt comes on all layers so you can wear them tucked or untucked and they all come in two different versions: one with full length sleeves and one with three-quarter length sleeves. I’d have to say my favourite is the full length sleeve version simply because the cuffs for them look brilliant, they caught my eye as soon as I attached them. I really like the way they puff out slightly and of course, the included cufflinks just rock. The full length cuffs and collar attachments come with the usual SF Design variations: one with a resizer script and one without. The three-quarter length cuffs don’t have a resizer scripted version but I don’t think you’ll have any great difficulty getting them to fit at all.

These great shirts are available now and will only cost you L$170 each. Personally, I think that’s a great price for these shirts but as you might have guessed from what I said about silk shirts earlier, I have a soft spot for them.
